“I agree with a previous reviewer that this place is dated with charm. The proprietor is a lovely man who makes your sandwich with glee and a song. While the store's atmosphere is aging and in need of a little pick me up , it's nice that they make fresh pasta and have a selection of other Italian corner store goods for purchase. I got a deli meats sandwich (not an Italian). The meat was cut in front of me on a slicer and fresh , but I found the sandwich a bit salty, even for deli meat (maybe the bread or the meat ?) . Great service and a nice local business , even if the food I sampled wasn't at the top. I'd bet the pasta and the eggplant parm are great here. Maybe next time”

“My visit to the pharmacy was my first, and the pharmacist was absolutely wonderful. She was so kind and efficient and really fun to talk with.I’d always gone to CVS in the past, but the price for my medication (really my dog’s medication) was waaay cheaper at Hannaford. And while I waited for it to be ready, I did a lot of grocery shopping.So it was a win-win!!!”

“The standard Patel Brothers experience for those who know it! Good place to get all kinds of South Asian (particularly Indian) groceries.It felt comparatively glum If you've already seen their other branches (like I did in Chicago & Jacksonville,FL). But good nonetheless. Prices are pretty reasonable. For the foodies out there!! Stop worrying about not being able to fit enough food in you luggage while travelling from India. You can get it all here..Well..Almost!!”

I remember it being dark and unorganized!Kudos to you Shaws.. bright, clean, welcoming and well layed out store with many options!Still a little pricey on some items even with “sale” price! “I like the selection! The store is always clean! I never use the checkout... I'd rather wait . Sometimes for a little while, depending on how many tellers are working. But the prepared foods are reasonably priced and my in-laws love the bakery items . My faves are the Cheese Bagels!!”

“Went in for a sandwich and to look around. The sandwich was very freshly made. The bread was delicious and fresh. There were many people in the shop, got a bit busy and crowded, no place to stand. Good variety of products. Would definitely go back again and try a different sandwich. All of them looked delicious.”

“Huge supermarket with lots of bargains. Usually very busy. I've discovered that the place quiets down after 4pm on weekdays. Weekends are especially mobbed. Shout out to the male employees; it appears they must all wear a white shirt and tie while essentially doing manual labor even though I assume many of them earn minimum wage or not much more. Come on Market Basket, give them a break, end that antiquated requirement of your dress code!”

“It's a good store with nice workers who are just trying to make a living. I go here and Shaw's often. I can't pull myself together to go into that jungle of a store called market basket where the customers have no respect for other shoppers and the store is always a crowded nightmare. I don't think the problem is with the employees here, I think it's the customers who act like they are above society, which is something I've noticed when I moved to Lexington/ waltham area, with all the waspy people, entitled people and rich karens. As for the guy named Dee, I guarantee you you will find rotten fruit and expired food at Hannaford and market basket as well. Maybe you should get a job in retail and fix the problem yourself, instead of complaining about it every two weeks or just plain shop somewhere else”

Brianna (forgive me if I spelled your name wrong) went above and beyond by taking a really bad experience with the website ordering process (for in-store pickup) and turning it completely around into a great experience.It's very clear by how she handled the situation that she cares about her customers, which is an unfortunately rare quality in customer service these days.
