“Friendly workers. Running shoes, clothing, and gear are all high quality.I give 4 instead of 5 stars for two reasons. Mainly, there is no info on the shoes on the wall display. The Boston and Brookline locations list things like the model, stack height, and drop right next to the shoe. Cambridge really needs to do this.Secondly, the 3 shoes initially brought out didn’t match my foot scan at all. It was odd. But I did find a pair of Nikes I liked and was able to order them from Nike directly in the width I need. Note that width options are limited in most running stores. So I don’t fault Marathon sports for not carrying the wide.”
“My wife and I have both purchased nice, quality shoes here, but their real bread and butter is the kids selection. Rather than purchasing cheaper shoes at Walmart, Target or similar that break, get ruined or kid grows out of in a few weeks, we decided to start going to Michelson's when our son started running around outside at daycare all the time and 100% do NOT regret it. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about inventory and the one time our son's shoes have torn in the four years we've been going, they let him exchange for a new pair. Every other pair have last for multiple seasons, and he's outside a LOT. he's also excited to go (and I've noticed other kids are as well) to see their "pet alligator" - who lives in a wall cavity behind the cash register. They knocked it out of the park with that thing.”
“Steve killed it today. I showed up at 11am on a Tuesday and the store was busy for a midweek day. Nonetheless Steve picked the ideal set of options for me in minutes and the first one was the winner. Walked out 30 minutes later with the most comfy shoes I’ve ever run in. “I recently bought boots that didn’t fit quite right. I had used them for a couple days hoping they would break in but they didn’t. I was really stressing about what I could do at this point. I went back to the store hoping for some help but wasn’t expecting they could do much for me. The staff was wonderful and very understanding, they provided new boots for me that fit awesome!! “Chad from was absolutely a star. I brought my daughter’s broken lacrosse stick and from start to finish he gave me the most utmost professional and prompt attention. He ordered a new head from Maryland, which was delivered quickly, restrung it, and followed up with a call to let me know it was ready! And to top it off, he had it FedEx directly to my daughter at college!! this was such a huge help as she’s in midseason and in dire need for her own stick

“I am from California, and was just on a trip to the Northeast for the first time. I wandered into Footstock after having lunch in Concord. I really did not need shoes for this trip, but I saw the most perfect pair of lightweight leather slides that I need for a different trip later this year. The saleswoman was so helpful in assisting me to try the shoes, and informed me how to ensure that slides will stay on the foot, giving me a little pad for each shoe. I was wondering how I would get them home in my already full suitcase. I was musing aloud about having to press the shoes together, and leave their box behind. She offered to have them shipped, at my cost. I was very happy to accept that offer, because these are expensive shoes, over $200, and they deserve to be treated properly. And then....I was directed upstairs to the sale area!! Wow!!! Terrific styles and prices! I will most definitely return to Footstock when I visit my friends in the area again. An absolute gem of a shoe store! Thank you for all of your care.”
