“Stayed one night and it seemed like a clean hotel. Room was ok size , it had a fridge and a decent size tv. Bed was firm, pillows were so-so. The toilet was weirdly positioned. Shower head was low for me and water pressure wasn't great. Walls seemed thin you could hear doors slam from rooms near us. Continental breakfast was ok eggs were watery and no bacon just sausage. Cinnamon rolls were really good.
I would probably stay again because it was a pretty good price.”

“Angie at the front desk was very accommodating, switching my room over from a standard to one upgraded with a refrigerator.
Convenient check-in and affordable price.
The large bed and L shaped desk or very welcomed. It’s also pet friendly!”

“Nice lobby and location (right off of I-95, but also quiet). The breakfast is quite expensive, even for a hotel, but there are plenty of nearby alternatives. Parking was free during our stay, though I guess when the gate is down you have to pay $20 per night. Room was ok, though nothing special.”

“Due to a snowstorm last night, we had to book this hotel at the last minute, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. The two staff members, Abzaham and Orkhan, we met were incredibly kind and helpful, making an already stressful situation much easier for us. They even went out of their way to upgrade our room, which was such a thoughtful and generous gesture. Their professionalism and warmth truly stood out, and we are very grateful for their hospitality.”

“Was a nice stay. Only one manager works at Crescent Suites Hotel other than cleaning staff. Was not a problem. They don't offer breakfast even it advertised. They stopped during COVID.”

“Good hotel. Nothing really special at all, just a real solid hotel. Basic breakfast, small wall shop for snacks. Attached restaurant/bar, Skybox 109, is reasonable with a large variety of beers, 10 on-tap and standard domestic bottles. Variety of classic American bar food with normal regional twists. Friendly staff. I had the Fish and Chips, above average, over abundance of fries, so-so tartar. Either forget the slaw or were out ? 15 Large TV or all sports BOSTON or current Major sports event.”

“Very very beautiful hotel. The showers have shampoo, conditioner and body wash. They have two restaurants inside the hotel and one right next to the hotel. The hotel also has a pool. The staff are very kind.”

“This hotel is a decent value for the location which is close to Dana Farber's Chestnut Hill campus. Rooms are clean and fresh. My room had a king bed and a separate couch and seating area. The room had a very small refrigerator and no microwave. I don't usually complain about showers but this one was annoying. I could not get the water to a decent temperature and the flow rate was so poor I struggled to rinse shampoo out of my hair. The shades on the window are in a permanent semi closed position and not able to be fully opened though you can close them all the way. There are some fun seating areas both on the first and second floor which are nice if you want to work outside the room. The fitness center was frustrating. Four treadmills facing a mirror only one of which was working properly. One recumbent bike, three ellipticals and some upper end weight dumbells. No small hand weights. The pool had a nice vibe but was awkward to find. Its upstairs from the fitness room. It has indoor garage parking which was a godsend in the recent snow storm. Lots of restaurants close by.”

“We thought the customer service here was particularly friendly and helpful. We were really impressed by the bartender who was thoughtful enough to ask if we have any food allergies while taking our order. The front desk staff was courteous and efficient, and the housecleaning staff were awesome.”

“We have stayed here several times. The location is great- very convenient to Boston and there are several good restaurants in walking distance or nearby by car. Friendly and helpful check-in and the rooms we have stayed in are updated and pleasant. Parking is about half the cost or less of the Boston Marriotts. We will stay here again!”

“The place was perfect room super big with breakfast included but we asked for a late check out next day and next day morning one of the staff members was super rude and disrespectful telling us that we had to check out because no one told her about our late deck out there was no reason for her to be rude at us that’s why I don’t give them more stars please train your staff better”

“So I stay here regularly now when I go see shows in Boston nearby, and this has just become my jam. It's close by, the people are really nice and they really value repeat customers which I dig.

Rooms: Clean and cool ?

Nearby activities: Live music baby ??✌️❤️

Food & drinks: Their bar and restaurant is FULL of character. Amazing.”

“When I tell you that this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at, I say this with pride. Genuinely incredible staff, very attentive and helpful, the person who worked the night of our check in date was super friendly and courteous, sadly forgot to get her name but she was awesome. The breakfast is absolutely the best I've had in a standard hotel, full on scrambled eggs with bacon/sausage, little triangle potato things, pancakes, bagels, cereal, this is what breakfast should be like in every place. They had a gorgeous pool, which sadly we couldn't use due to just not having our swimming attire/it being the middle of October, but it looked clean as anything. Our room had a balcony area, was extremely clean, chargers above the bed, a heat lamp in the bathroom, which my girlfriend, now fiancé since I proposed during my time in this area, absolutely loved. Oh yeah, plus my girlfriend and I got engaged here, I was super nervous, but they made us feel like we were at home. This is a fantastic hotel, old school sure, but none the less, if we end up taking another trip to Salem, this will be our hotel of choice. No questions asked. Sure its about an hour away, but I'd rather drive a bit and stay at a place I know will be a fantastic stay. I say this with over 4 years of hospitality under my belt, amazing hotel.”

“I would like to personally thank assistant general manager Hilary Mborja for everything she did to make our stay most memorable. She is truly heaven sent! February 14th is my wife's birthday, and our stay was great! The Governor' Suite was more than we could have hoped for. It is 1200 sq ft of pure luxury! With a separate tub, shower and water closet - there was more than enough space for the both of us to be in the bathroom at the same time. The French doors that lead into the bedroom made it fit for both king & queen. The exceptionally beautiful front room/living space combination was large enough to host a party! With two separate TVs, we could both watch what we wanted at the same time! ? I look forwarded to visiting again real soon. Thank you so much Hilary! May God continue to bless you! ?”

“I want to leave this review from the bottom of my heart.

23 Farrington Inn is not just a hotel — it is a place with a soul. Here live people who are going through very difficult moments in life: people in need, an elderly disabled man who can barely move, a family with a small child. What makes this place truly special is that no one is ignored and no one is treated as “less than.” Every person here is met with warmth, patience, respect, and genuine care.

The owner’s name is John, and he is not just John he is a young man with the big heart and a lot of empathy, and that simplicity says everything about him. He never walks past someone who needs help. He treats people with heart, kindness, and dignity, and you can feel that this place exists because he truly cares about people, not profit. The managers here — Matthew and Luis, and the wonderful girls who work alongside them — are incredibly kind, attentive, and human. You feel welcomed, not judged. You feel safe.

The hotel itself is very cozy, calm, and beautiful in its Victorian style. It feels warm and familiar, like home. There is a sense of peace here, a feeling that you can finally breathe and rest. During one of the hardest moments of our lives, they allowed us to stay five nights for free, and that kindness meant more than words can express.

I tried to give back in every way I could — I cleaned the hotel and washed floors on all four floors, because this place deserves care and gratitude. Yesterday we paid, and today I will finish paying what remains, but what will stay with me forever is not the money — it is the humanity we were shown.

This is a rare place, filled with heart, compassion, and love for people.
Thank you for being who you are and for helping those who truly need it.”
