“Love johnny Ds, especially in a pinch. Fresh quality produce in a community atmosphere. Going into this place feels like time warping back to an older Boston. Johnny is always attentive, empathic and friendly, as are his employees. Fun music is always being played. I wish they carried more Organic produce.”
“I didn’t think the mushrooms would be that different from chain grocery store and I was SO WRONG; we bought maitake mushrooms and added them to a pasta and they were the most flavorful, umami, pillowy delicious addition to the dish. Worth every penny. I can’t eat mass produced mushrooms anymore. These are incredible. And the tea selection is legit; I bought a pu’erh inside a dried mandarin and it was some of the nicest tea I’ve had in recent memory. And the sticker selection was incredible. This is my favorite store in Cambridge”
“I’m very picky! I recommend this place to friends in the area. He grills it perfectly in front of you. Not dry or overly oily- very tasty! Also there’s these cookies that come from local vender who serves organic -few ingredients grab some of those too. Super yummy food and local treats with short ingredients along with saffron ice cream and other interesting items. Sam the owner is super kind! Thank you I’m sad I’m not longer near this place- enjoy:)”

“Just moved from the north end and while they don't have everything you'd want from a neighborhood grocer (more snacks than necessities) they have a good selection at far better prices than the Golden Goose. Very happy to have them around the corner.”

“This market offers a delightful immersion in Greek cuisine and culture. Its signature selection of fresh yogurt, feta and olives is impressive. In addition, there are homestyle prepared foods such as moussaka, pastichio and stuffed peppers. Mini-departments within the shop showcase soaps and shampoos, jewelry and cards, baked goods, frozen foods, oils and vinegars, dried pasta and fresh breads. Well worth a visit! ??”
“The Tzatziki here is the best I’ve ever had outside of Athens. I love the Greek yogurt, it’s delicious with a little honey and some fresh fruit. Love that I can sometimes find Oregano chips here too. Lots of fresh food as well as frozen. Great olive bar.”
“Outstanding customer service. I needed help to look for an item - an associate stoped what he was working on to help look for that and check the system for inventory. Unfortunately the item has been out of stock. He also gave me a target restock date and that was additionally helpful!”
“A great convenient location for city dwellers and tourists right in heart of it all. It is immaculate and despite how long the line gets, it moves so quickly with plenty of cashiers & self checkout stations. Staff is friendly, products plentiful & stocked and prices are Fab! “I live in the area. I probably come to this location 4-5 times per week. Their bananas and potatoes are super cheap. They also have really good orange juice. Their bananas are $0.23 . Doesn't get cheaper than that. They also have great granny smith apples. Like weirdly good. Better than star market. I always buy my granny smith apples from this store. They always have a good selection of them. I also love their russett potatoes. Staff is super friendly. Kind of a staple for the local scene.”

“Clean, well stocked, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. They could definitely use more parking due to the volume of customers but that's not something they can necessarily change. Lines usually move quickly and cashiers are generally more pleasant than other grocery stores.”
