“I’m a 63 year old male that has been doing SSB for 6 months now. I can confirm everything I have read in the 5 star reviews here. After 8 weeks I could tell this was the most effective fitness activity I have ever done. Running, rowing, yoga, dumbbells all made me feel better and gave me a feeling of wellbeing, but after 8 week of SSB I started to feel like a different person. I felt stronger, I was stronger, I moved through the world with ease, my chronic lower back issues dissipated. After four months I had gained 11 pounds of lean body mass and my bone density had increased slightly (before and after DEXA scans). It is no exaggeration to say I feel 10 years younger. Heck, I don’t think I have felt this good in 15 years. There is no way I could have done this without Starting Strength.I will repeat one thing that others have said because they deserve to be recognized - the SS coaches are excellent. They go through a rigorous program to become certified. Thanks Steve, Mike and Marie!”

“Love this gym. Having trained bjj at a few different gyms, I can honestly say that this gym has been the best. Jason is very knowledgeable not just in bjj, but in other disciplines as well. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The pace of the instruction part of the classes are balanced and easy to follow (even with complex sequences). The rolls are competitive, yet slow enough to practice techniques. A true family atmosphere.”

“Joining Boston Underground Strength Training has been one of the best decisions I’ve made! I first joined during a really busy period of grad school where I was working long hours and had a constantly changing routine. It was so nice to know that no matter how busy I was, I would always be getting at least two workouts in each week! I’ve been training with them for 6 months and feel like I have my body back and am stronger than ever! The coaches are so kind and professional and they’re always able to provide adaptations to the exercises when needed. I also really appreciate that the community isn’t focused on weight loss, rather getting strong and feeling good for life. “I’ve discovered muscles I didn’t know I had after more than a year of classes here ?‍? the instructors plan out the classes well and emphasize functional training with the movements. I’ve gotten a lot stronger since joining and have learned the correct form for exercises I was doing incorrectly in the past. The small class sizes make it so the instructor can give more focused attention. Good variety within classes as well! No two strength, core, or yoga classes are ever the same.Highly recommend their group classes ?”

I have had different coaches and they are all amazing. I love Megan because she is always challenging me and is very encouraging. She also does chin-ups with me to help motivate me. “This my favorite place to workout. I have been doing the regular big gym memberships on and off for years. But here, I feel the personal attention and coaching has been bar-none. I'm love being there and I always push myself a little more than I would by myself. Jesse is a very knowledgeable trainer and more importantly, a good friend.
