“Smith and Son Jewelers Springfield, MAI'm not the best person to ask about this store. But I guess my experience there has been something that they would want people to know about. Years ago my mother had done business with them when we lived in Forest Park and from time to time we used them for small simple jewelry for my wife. When I got married we had our diamond ring done there. When I lost weight I had my wedding ring re-sized. I'm totally ignorant of all things jewelry and they know that but still they don't talk down to you there. Recently, and this has been happening a lot lately, my watch battery died. I live in Chicopee, and I'm sure there are jewelers around Chicopee that could help me with this issue. But Smith and Sons' price is right and I just trust them and often times they drop everything and do it right then and there. This most recent time I was in the area and I parked at WONG WOK hoping they wouldn't tow my car. I went in, usually the guy in the wheelchair helps me but this time is an older man. He immediately started grabbing his tools. Then I told a joke without even thinking about it asking if I could watch him change my watch battery. We all laughed and he said, "I wouldn't be out here if I didn't want you to watch!" We chatted about the new lithium battery packets and how difficult they are to open for him and an assistant helped him out. Then with his tiny magnifying glass he popped the watch back open and boom badabing it was over. I paid the cheap bill and walked out knowing for the next couple months I didn't need to look at my phone anymore for the time. I could just raise my wrist. Thanks Smith and Son Jewelers!”

“I was given my mom’s engagement ring and wanted to give it to my daughter for her engagement. They took it to a different jeweler who told them there was a crack in the diamond and that it would be easily broken or damaged and proceeded to sell them another ring. I then took the ring to Smith & Son Jewelers and Tom took a look at the ring and told me that was not the case at all. He resized the ring and I am so thrilled to be wearing my mom’s beautiful ring. I wanted to continue wearing my original engagement ring that had small diamonds on either side of a large diamond. Tom removed the main diamond and prong and filled in the space with new diamonds. The ring is beautiful and you would never know that the big diamond and prong had been removed. I wear the rings stacked now, my wedding band, my mom’s ring & my engagement ring. Lastly, I wanted to use the diamond from my original engagement ring in a necklace so Tom helped me to design an incredible gold necklace with the diamond nestled between 6 pearls graduated in size from largest to smallest on each side of the diamond. The necklace is absolutely stunning and I will treasure it and the rings always. I most likely would not have attempted this had it not been for Tom’s knowledge, skill and experience. He is a such a genuinely kind person and a real gem ;)

“So I needed a power generator for an upcoming storm, all the big box stores were sold out, FB marketplace was sold out, I call this store and he told me he had one available , I met the owner there and there was a line at the door looking for power generators, he said he only had the one and that it was reserved for me as I had called beforehand. “Julie and Rick are amazing!! I stopped in just before my wedding to have the prongs checked on my engagement ring. They were very friendly and efficient, and I knew I would feel comfortable leaving my jewelry with them. So in a few weeks I returned to have my rings soldered together and sized. The ring ended up being a little too small (through no fault of theirs) and they sized it back up half a size free of charge. Throughout the whole process, Julie and Rick were communicative and friendly, their prices are very fair, and they do an amazing job! Would highly recommend!”
