Pet Supplies Plus Ann Arbor - S Main
2224 S Main St, Ann ArborGreat location, easy in/out for Ann Arbor! Plenty of parking and a short walk into the store. We are always greeted by staff here when we walk in. Great selection of products. We use this location when our doodle needs a wash, as we bought a 5 pack of passes to the self-serve station in the back. So much easier than trying to wash her at home, and the kids love getting in there and helping scrub her down and dry her off.

Uptown Veterinary Clinic
1723 Plymouth Rd, Ann ArborUptown Veterinary Clinic staff was absolutely amazing when we had to say goodbye to our 15 year old lab, Talula. They explained everything and let our sweet girl stay on her bed in the back of our car so she could be outside in the sunshine. They gave us time for lots of hugs and tears, making such a painful experience as comfortable as possible. The staff was incredible! They also made sure Faithful Companion was there within minutes of us leaving to take her for cremation. We received a call the following morning saying she was back and ready to be taken home! Uptown Vet staff even washed her blanket and had it ready when we returned. I highly recommend Uptown Veterinary Clinic. We miss our "Lula" so much but the compassion and care they showed to us and Talula will never be forgotten.

Stadium Veterinary Services
2117 W Stadium Blvd, Ann ArborWe took our beautiful and beloved Khaleesi to Stadium last week for her rainbow bridge appointment.
She had a very rare adverse reaction to a treatment and then a series of incorrect diagnoses and treatments through two after-hour care areas.
When we came to the understanding that she was not going to recover, we brought her in with the whole family at the very end of the day at Stadium. Dr. Megan made the time to meet with us (though we didn't have an evaluation appointment). She talked through the symptoms and the prior treatments. She confirmed the prognosis that our baby would not recover. And she listened. She listened while our youngest talked to her about our dog, what she was like, how we had treateed her, where we were not listened to...
She confirmed each injection with us, ensuring the kids were prepared to watch or not watch, etc. She allowed us to be with our grief, not trying to soothe us or move us forward more quickly. She reflected a true compassionate stance. When we left the office, I looked at the time and realized we had kept her over her shift by a good deal. And yet-- she then emailed over the weekend to check in on US, how WE were doing with our grief.
We have been bringing our pups to Stadium Veterinary since before the name change. 12 years now, maybe? (They used to be Affordable Vet.) It's possible we will NEVER go to an after-hours clinic again if we can help it....
Their entire team is caring and careful-- and BOTH of these qualities signal their excellence. Many thanks, Stadium Vet, and Dr. Megan especially.

Compassionate Care Animal Hospital
2200 S Main St, Ann Arbor2024 UPDATE: I wanted to share that I've been a client working with CCAH for at least a few years now, and their level of care and dedication continues to be top tier and somehow improving upon that greatness! They are a super far drive for me, as I've moved in the last year, but I continue to visit them because I value their expertise and practice so much! They've expanded in many ways, offering a variety of new services like 24/7 phone staffing. I feel so confident in the care they provide to my fur babies. Every single person I interact with is a gem, and I appreciate them all! I've had such a pleasure getting to know the CCAH team. I wish they shared their favorite office snacks on their website or something, so that I could shower them in little treats to make the long work days easier. They deserve the world!
Original review: Can we stop for a minute to appreciate when a animal hospital truly loves what they do and appreciates our pets? That's what they do here.
I have an almost 7 year old dog and a 2 year old cat. They are my babies, and I will take them to the medical professionals without hesitation to make sure they're happy/healthy.
The entire team at Compassionate Care Animal Hospital is so lovely! Dr. Forbes especially has been a light in our life. My dog has been struggling with some chronic issues for a few years now (she's a tricky case, seen a variety of vets over the years) and I love love love our primary care vet but brought our pup here to explore options they don't have (like imaging, for example).
I heard back from Dr. Forbes within four DAYS of her testing with a complex written explanation/treatment plan that included alternative options to her recommendations. Are you kidding me?! That's outstanding!
The last thing I wanted to mention is how happy my dog is when we leave. I know it sucks not to be able to go in with our babies, but I don't have too much concern about that here. My dog is extremely nervous but it's so clear that every person in the office takes care of your pet while they're inside. My dog warmed right up to them. Their impact was so great that when we went to the pet store down the road after our appointment my pup was warm and excited (without hesitation) with those strangers, too! They have a lasting impact on their patients. <3
I can't recommend them and this hospital enough. If you have a furry friend who needs the help of medical professionals, please give them a shot!

Washtenaw Veterinary Hospital
2729 Packard St, Ann ArborI truly can’t speak highly enough of this vet. I’m grateful from the bottom of my heart to the whole staff for their steadfast determination, compassion, and wisdom through my dog’s health issues and later battle with cancer. You’ve never seen a dog more loved and well-cared-for at a doctor than him, and he would practically bust the door down to see some or his favorite people every time.
My puppy now benefits from the kindness of the team as well. From social visits to help him warm up to new situations to taking several minutes to patiently encourage him to use the scale, they’ve helped him grow so confident in such a short amount of time that he now loves to see his friends at the vet—just like his brother before him.
I’ve spent more time than most with the Washtenaw Veterinary Hospital staff (and vets in general), and I can honestly say they’re the best of the best. The facilities are clean, the service is always thorough but on time, and the doctors will work to uncover solutions and options other vets won’t even suggest (speaking from experience).

Biercamp
1643 S State St, Ann ArborHidden gem, I said it! It's has the feels of a great place to visit on a fall day or even a slight snow fall. There are fire pits and seating between the two buildings. One building has food including bbq pork, brats, onion rings and so much more. There are packaged summer sausage, brats, bacon, sauces, dips and more to choose from. Can't forget the beer and cider options as well. The other building had tables and a bathroom for people to relax inside outside of the elements. I'll definitely be back as I'm already dreaming of those delicious brats (jalapeño cheese)

713 W Ellsworth Rd, Ann ArborI thought I posted this last year but apparently not lol... I remember going to old location when you first opened...Very small but the staff was extremely friendly and the beer was excellent!!! Fast forward to last November at the new location...Beautiful building...great vibe and the beer is still top notch. Ive been a homebrewer for 15 plus years and now brewer at Rekt Brewing in my hometown(Horseheads NY)so im kind of a beer snob. So the lady...think she was the manager? Asked me what my 4 favorite beers they had were so I told her . She grabbed one of each and said these are on me.....Thanks for coming all the way to NY to enjoy our beers. HOMES used to be my favorite Ann Arbor brewery but you've overtaken them and thats not a jab at HOMES... Coming into town Thursday and will be stopping by!!!! Cheers!!! ?

Blank Slate Creamery
300 W Liberty St, Ann ArborStopped by this local ice cream shop recently while out with friends. The place had a cozy vibe and a decent selection of flavors — some classic, some more unique. The staff was friendly and patient while we sampled a few options before deciding. The ice cream itself was rich and creamy, though a couple of flavors were a bit too sweet for my taste. Prices were about what you’d expect for a specialty shop, maybe a little on the higher side, but the quality matched up. Overall, a nice spot for a treat if you’re in the area and want something a little different from the usual chain options.

Washtenaw Dairy
602 S Ashley St, Ann ArborMy mom and I visited Washtenaw Dairy yesterday to celebrate her 70th birthday, and the experience was simply wonderful. From the moment we walked in, the warmth of the place wrapped around us like a comforting blanket. The décor, the cheerful hum of families and friends, and the scent of freshly made donuts all contributed to a genuine “small-town but heart-big” atmosphere. (Yes, even in the heart of Ann Arbor!)
Our servers Gustav and Taylor deserves special recognition. Not only were they friendly, efficient, and full of bright energy, Gustav kindly offered to take a photo of my mom and me together. His kindness turned a simple outing into a cherished memory. He made my mom feel celebrated—like the guest of honor she was—and made me feel like I’d picked the perfect spot for our milestone celebration.
And of course, the treats themselves were top-notch: generous scoops of rich ice cream, a wide selection of flavors (including some I’d never tried before), and a classic donut that took me back to childhood. Washtenaw Dairy has clearly built a legacy on more than just dairy—they’ve built a
place where people feel welcomed, included, and cared for.
If you’re looking for a place to make an ordinary day feel special, or to mark a milestone like a 70th birthday, look no further. Gustav and the team (including Ryan) at Washtenaw Dairy made our day brighter, and I can’t wait to come back.

Izzy's Hoagie Shop
1924 W Stadium Blvd, Ann ArborThis place continues to deliver the same high bar of quality food after decades and changing hands.
I always get the Italian, although the steak hoagies are also quite nice.
For the 3 months after lent they do fish and chips and I was floored by the quality; unfortunately I have to wait 9 months for that again (pleeease make this a regular menu item!!)
Kinda a weird thing to add but their fountain pop offerings are on point as well.
Do yourself a favor and grab an Italian hoagie- the oregano and olive oil drizzled on top is truly unique.
