3120 Carpenter Rd, YpsilantiAt this Petsmart, someone names every single betta in hopes they will get adopted, so it's also easier to see for sure if one has been there long. Despite being a big box store, I really have to give our Petsmart props. I have seen a dead fish only once, and when the temperatures got down to 0 outside, they moved all the betta temporarily so they wouldn't be too close to the door and get cold. I also did not see them restock them that week while they were in the back. I suspect so that they would not run the risk of a bunch dying? I am pleased to know the person in charge of that area does their best to put the fish first as much as they can considering the whole practice.
Also, the staff here has been incredibly kind. I have been in probably at least 8 times in the last 2 weeks getting my setup correct. I have done both pickups and in store shopping and the staff has been absolutely super. One of the employees helped me download the app so I could get the coupons for anything for fish month (I didn't even know it was a thing), and another held my in store purchases while I waited for my pickup points to load. They want to go above and beyond to help and I am very grateful.

4033 Carpenter Road, YpsilantiUpdate 5/2026: My cat has had several longer stays at PurrVella (by Mitten's Pets) and gets groomed there regularly, and she just comes home so happy and soft and well-cared for. By the time it's time for my cat to come home, she is practically asking to stay with her aunties at Mittens Pets longer! Everyone is so kind and the care is amazing. I'm so grateful to have PurrVella!
Update 7/2025: Mitten's Pets continues to be AMAZING. My kitty boards there and she can be grumpy, but she loves the staff there like Kayla and Leea. They really treat her like a queen.y cat also gets grooms with Leea and she enjoys her baths! This is an amazing team of people and a great place for cats!
Hannah is the best cat groomer! I have taken my cat to Hannah for years, and Hannah tells me when my cat doesn't feel well, and that helps me work with my vet for her arthritis treatment. My cat loves Hannah! I couldn't recommend this groomer more if you have a kitty!

Dr. Donato and the entire staff were amazing - honest, caring, and supportive throughout the whole process. They made sure we understood what to expect, and we felt completely comfortable and involved in Hans's care from beginning to end. Our other Frenchie, Franz, even got to be somewhat a part of it all, too!

37 Ecorse Road, YpsilantiI highly recommend the Ypsilanti Animal Clinic, my little Darcy, a terrier mix, had a variety of issues and was very lethargic and not eating much and definitely not herself.
The staff listened to my concerns and were professional and very compassionate with my concerns.
Dr Kunoff diagnosed her condition and developed a plan to get her well, I was moved to tears at how well my little Darcy is doing now and is back to being herself
Much Thanks to the entire staff and I am glad I have found a clinic as my go to moving forward

This is the best Taco Bell I’ve had in a while!!! Highly recommend if you’re nearby. My wait was short and my grilled cheese burrito was hot and delicious. They also gave me plenty of napkins which I appreciate.

Whispering Pines Pet Cemetery
943 Wray Court, YpsilantiOur cat Tiger was the world to us. He was our only child and lived a long life until he was over 15 years old. Tiger’s health took an unexpected turn for the worst and we had to make the hardest decision we have as pet parents. After Tiger’s passing, we were crying in the car thinking of the steps we had to take next for his burial. We searched and found “Whispering Pines” was near our home and it looked beautiful and peaceful. It sits up on a slight hill back in a woodsy area where the sun shines. It is quiet and maintained. It also has great reviews as well. Not only was the resting place beautiful, but what stood out the most to us, is that Paul, the owner, answered our desperate call minutes after Tiger passed. It was closer to the evening time and he picked up our call right away. Paul was kind and patient on the phone as we cried and tried to explain our situation. Paul stayed in constant contact as we waited for Tiger’s special casket to arrive. Paul was accommodating and professional and handled Tiger’s afterlife care with compassion and respect. He gave Tiger the utmost care and relieved our worries of the process for a burial. We even were able to visit the property at Whispering Pines and got to choose a special place for Tiger. Paul explained the entire process each step of the way when we buried him and allowed our family to grieve, cry, and say “see you later” to our one and only special boy, Tiger. Thank you to Paul for making this unbearable and incredibly emotional time less painful. We recommend his Whispering Pines cemetery to anyone who is looking for a final resting place for their furry friend.
