“Always great selection and service at Kakos. The guy that works there, who is probably the owner, is very knowledgeable. I have followed his advice several times when buying something for myself or for a present and have never been disappointed.I would highly recommend!!!”

“Have been coming here for years and will always return! The owner and workers here are so nice and friendly, always smiling, always willing to help if I have a question or need assistance. They have a great selection of Mediterranean food that they make themselves including hummus, tabbouleh, and garlic sauce. Awesome selection of olives, cheese, and their Turkish coffee is wonderful! It reminds me of the espresso I used to drink when I was younger with my family members. I order their hummus and sliced pasterma all the time during the holidays like today (Thanksgiving) or during Christmas. I have never been disappointed and neither will you! Thank you Ismail for a wonderful experience every time!”

“I love Atko Market! I've visited the one in Shelby Twp and recently the one in Livonia. Both have excellent customer service and the best selection of European goodies. The burek and cevapi are 10/10!!”

“It's GFS -- it's useful for what it does. Unfortunately, after I called to ask if they accept Google Wallet (and they said yes) and then went out of my way on my way home from work, I found out at the checkout that they do not support Google Wallet or Apple Pay.”

“Myself, my husband & my boyfriend just moved to the area and came across this amazing store. We were all immediately happy walking in seeing the pride flag on display. We were greeted by a really nice tall handsome middle eastern man we think his name is sam. We told him that is three love drinking wine and getting a little handsy, sam bless his heart showed us his great assortment of wines. We were speechless with how clean, stocked and how organized the store was. We loved every min we spent there. Such a great store & sam is just absolutely amazing. He even walked our purchased goods to our car. I love me a tall middle eastern man, what a cutie”

“Tiny little hole in the wall Korean grocery market; just like the ones I used to know~~~ rather, ones I knew growing up. As you pull into the parking lot, the place has a highly visible yellow sign that writes "kagopa" in Korean. In a very ugly Korean writing.... I don't mean to knock, but it looks like it was written by a child, and maybe it was! I can't think of a reason why a grown up shop owner would choose to use an ugly writing unless there's some sorta sentimental value behind it. Or maybe I'm overanalyzing it. Either way, it's ugly, but in a charming way. Inside is exactly like what a mom n pop Korean grocery would look like. Bunch of shelves with canned, bottled, packaged goods; freezers full of frozen goods, etc. I guess where they focus on is the "banchan" offerings--Korean side dishes. Every time I visit, more often than not the owners are out back, making banchan, rather than sitting at the front counter. I've been going back to try as many dishes they have as possible. Some have been decent, and some have been great. I haven't run into anything too bad. So far, everything they do with squid have been excellent. Owners/staff are nice and friendly. Like I said, they are usually in the back, making banchan, but when they're out, they're helpful. I've got a bottle of whole-napa kimchi in the fridge. I like my kimchi not too pickled, but the ol' lady likes them fully pickled. I tried a piece the other day and it was to my liking. I'll just have to ferment them a bit longer to see how it turns out.”

“Just a delight, but we went on a Sunday, and it was absolute chaos. No fault of theirs, but it was just shoulder to shoulder that day.The staff is wonderful, and the music bumping in the store instantly puts me in a good mood every time.”

“If you don't shop at Aldi you have no clue what you're missing out on. All the essentials are much cheaper than the big box chains. Their brands are artificial sweetener, artificial preservative, and artificial dye free. They taste a million times better than that monopoly brand junk. Once you have their ice cream all others will taste awful. It's literally the only ice cream I'll eat. They have a great selection of craft beers and wine.Just step in one day, you'll wonder why you've waited so long!”

“I prefer this place over a regular grocery store. It can be a little costly at times but food is super expensive right now. The prepared foods are prepared nicely and presentation is good.”

“Very good quality and interesting products. Expensive! Their house made fresh sauces were really good. Eclairs in bakery, excellent. Very good range of cold cuts, including hard to find imports. Did not like their fresh pizza dough, had a weird taste. Huge selection of dried pasta brands and shapes. Check dates, some canned goods close to expiration. Overall, an interesting and enjoyable shopping experience and enjoyed most of what we got. Would definitely shop there again.”

“A small but worthy produce section yams, coconuts, plantains and items that aren't easy to find. Smoked fish, goat meat, chicken feet, frozen fish..for more adventurous cooks. I'm addicted to the tea/coffee biscuits ( come in a box, forgot the name sorry) Everyone is friendly, accept EBT and the prices are reasonable.”

“You will have a field day in this store. So many new things to try, all delicious! They also have marinated meats along the far wall, I recommend the beef bulgogi and spicy pork! Although, the spicy pork varies each time I go, so if you’re not into spicy food, maybe just go for the bulgogi. Yum!”

“Went into Hollywood Market in Troy to get some food for the football games and my experience was excellent! I have been shopping at this store for many decades and its my favorite of any store in the area. It is spotlessly clean, well stocked and organized. The Associates are very helpful and professional. Prices are reasonable and the quality and selection of products is outstanding! I will be back very soon! Many thanks to the great team at the store!”

“Excellent selection of African grocery items. They have frozen snapper and tilapia, tripe, goat, lamb and specialty spices and juices. There's a small produce section and I got plantains and mangoes. Staff was friendly and helped me carry everything to my car.”

“This a a favorite market! They have lots of produce, baked goods, and deli items! They currently have a sell on seafood that I couldn't pass up. Service wasn't notable today. No help was offered as I shopped. I did get what I came for, so there's that!”

“Clean store, limited brand selection of certain items, but they do have a variety of items available. Some name brands but mostly their store brands dominate. , which I heard are typical your name brands just rebranded so there's that. Small frozen section, meat & fish selection are decent, but mostly sold out when I visit, shop early if you want the popular items. They moved to self check out and that has improved the long lines. Well maintained and stocked well. Smaller store footprint, which I like, no need to go through department you don't want or need, in and out no fuss. Good recommend. Fairly priced items.”

“First time discover this place while i forgot to buy something from the big famous asian stores far away.Things i like: lots of selections in a relatively small space. 80% of what i usually buy, i can find here without driving 30+ minutes and wait long checkout line.Things that i wish they can improve: more clear price tags, some items in the fridge does not look so fresh or some items are close to expiration date.”
