“Another interesting business, that over the years has made increasingly good quality products for cheap prices: China. Harbor Freight has cheap tools with limited life-time warranties. Today, day 3-of-4 of a 4 day Memorial Day weekend sale allowed me to buy 1 item 25% off (per customer, per day - I’ll be back tomorrow). I bought a Quinn Master Impact 3/8’s Socket Set with extensions and various adapters. With sockets running metric and SAE from 8mm to 19mm, and 7/32 to 3/4. Short and deep well sockets. It was originally priced at 109.99 before 6% sales tax. I walked out the door with it, after tax, for $87.44 and I’m so pumped! I have grown up, alongside my dad using Snap-On, SK, Craftsman, and other tools brands with great satisfaction. In my dad’s retired years, he uses Harbor Freight and they’re almost as good for less than half the price with a surprisingly great warranty policy. Not that many months ago, I brought in a broken and faded 3/8 swivel ratchet for my dad - they questioned it only for a little bit because the color was off due to sun damage. Once I grabbed a matching, new ratchet off the rack and showed them they were exactly the same everything, they brought me back to the counter; with a printed off replacement receipt and new ratchet in-hand, out the door I walked, impressed.
