“I needed a color matching and all I had was a paint chip I cut from my wall because I couldn't find a can with the original paint in the house. They asked me if I knew what the texture was (flat, matte, etc.) but I had no idea. So they did their best to match the texture as well as the color. The color matched very well, but the texture turned out to be too flat, which was noticeable when viewed at an angle. So I went back and they did a more careful analysis, using some white paint with different textures dabbed on the paint chip to see which matched closest. This took quite a bit of their time and they took half the price off the new can of paint. And the texture and color match turned out to be as good as can be expected. So I'm very pleased with the helpful staff and the results I got.”

“I’ve been working with Merritt and Kevin at Repcolite Paints in Pontiac since 2015, and they’ve been my biggest supplier ever since. These guys are what a real paint store is all about.
When you walk into their old building at the corner of Woodward and M-59, you can feel the history — it’s been a paint store for decades. You can go to a big corporate location, but you’ll never get the kind of service, knowledge, or support you’ll find here.
Merritt and his team have latex paint running through their veins. Even after 23 years in the painting business, I still learn things from them. They always recommend the right coating for the right substrate, and they make sure I’m stocked with top-quality Benjamin Moore exterior paint for our jobs.
They deliver to my shop every day, label my paint in special ways so it never gets mixed up on site, and always have my back. It’s old-school customer service that’s hard to find anymore.

“Wow. Steve was awesome. The most helpful. I've been painting my house, and been trying to match this paint for ages. Nobody has done it. After about literally 5 or 6 trips to the store, and about an hour of minute adjustments, we got it. And it was a bit of a mid understanding which paint I was going for, and we matched the wrong color on the lid because someone had painted the lid for some reason. And Karen is the most helpful, knowledgeable, and compassionate employee ever. As a former painter, she not only knows everything about paint types and colors, but she is happy to take the time to share her wealth of knowledge with you and educate the customer about the choices and options out there. Plus, she expertly mixed two colors we needed for a color match. These colors and its sheens are flawless and completely disappeared with touchups on the interior walls. After I had a nightmare experience with a painter I found online, she recommended to me Chris Wise of Wize Painting and I couldn't be happier with the results. “Ilco, thanks for your help. I've been fighting with the paint colors for my weird bathroom for weeks and its finally over. He scanned my tile to color match it which he assured me wasn't always 100% reliable but it was a gamble I was was willing to take. It came out gorgeous. We dropped a little dab of the paint onto the tile I brought in and once it dried, it was nearly indistinguishable from the tile.
