“Good old-fashioned country store gas station. They're Chester's Chicken can be very good to outstanding. Their combo boxes you can't beat. Got three big pieces of potato wedges, two big pieces of chicken, plus a biscuit plus a 20 oz fountain drink out the door for $6.99 looking something different than fast, stop here and get it to goPretty nice friendly staff.The only downfall is the bathrooms need to be touched up more.”
“This is a very nice and clean store. It has come a long way. The vegetables and fruit are not the best selection, but if you need something quick to eat that day or the next for sure buy. The staff is a hit and miss with manners. The manager (male) is very nice and works hard in keeping the store look organized and clean, so my hat is off to him. I gave a four star due to mannerism.”

“I want to share the best customer service I have experienced in long long time. Last week on May 9th I went to the Starbucks inside Dowagiac Family Fare. There was only 1 employee working. Her name is Samari. This young lady was taking multiple orders for food items and drinks, turning around and making them, then handing them to the customers. ALL WITH THE MOST PLEASANT SMILE, KIND WORDS AND POSITIVE ATTITUDE. She was actually apologizing for us having to wait while she did EVERYTHING by herself. Her positive evergy shines. I hope that whomever reads this review can take the time to acknowledge her hard work and great attitude. Samari I hope you know that wherever life takes you and whatever jobs you may hold in the future they will be so lucky to have someone like you working for them!”

“I will say it’s definitely more stocked than those close to me in Elkhart. However, it’s too crammed and the baby section for instance is lacking compared to others. The self check out is always closed. But hey it’s open and has the things ya need to get by until you go to a big store. Of course I can find little complaints but either way the parking lot is great for gambling if you’re from Indiana and need a place to park and online casino bet!!”

“Love this store. Since I live close by I am in this store almost once a day sometimes more than once, all the workers recognize me. They say hello to every customer that walks through the door. Store is well kept, organized, clean, and well stocked. All the workers are friendly and helpful. Very great place to pick up quick dinner, cleaning supplies and pet food are good prices, and if you download the app you can link coupons to your account then when check out type phone # into credit card machine and the coupons you link will come off your total and you can even earn dollar general store cashback that can be used at Dollar general and is as easy as pulling up barcode in app for cashier to scan.”

“I use to avoid this store and have for years, I stopped in there a few months ago and I must say WOW! I think whoever is running that store is doing amazing! I have never seen that store look that good! As far as some of the recent bad reviews go...... they have no idea what they are talking about, this store is probably the best looking Dollar General I have been in! Aisles are clear (which says alot because I don't think they have any room to put anything when they get a shipment) them employees must be busting butt to keep that store looking that good! The ceiling looks great (looks like a new ceiling honestly) and no more leaking. Employees were very welcoming and had a great attitude...... I honestly can not find a single negative thing to say about this store! If you haven't been there in awhile PLEASE PLEASE go in and see! Tell them employees they are doing a great job, they deserve it!”

“I often visit Dollar General at a variety of locations. Visited this store on our way out of town for some snacks for our road trip out of town. Store was not busy, clean, had exactly what I was looking for. Cashier was courteous and efficient. Was in and out within 5 minutes.”
