“I was doing an 11,000 mile motorcycle challenge. I had just crossed the Mackinac Bridge and was beginning to make my way thru Michigan. It was getting dark and I made a wrong turn. I stopped at the closed Sunoco station to try and get my bearings. GPS is not allowed on this motorcycle challenge. A man and lady pulled in to the gas station and spoke with me. I found out he was the owner of the place. He brought me inside and showed me on a map where I made my wrong turn. We chatted for awhile and I had told him I could not sleep in motels but had to sleep outside with my motorcycle. He asked where I was going to go. I responded that I saw a campground sign 20 some miles back and would probably go there. He told me he also owned the lot across the road and I was more than welcome to stay there. They brought me across the road and told me no one will bother me and to set up camp anywhere. I set up my tent between 2 Uhaul trailers and parked my bike close by where I would not be seen by anyone driving by. Thank you SO MUCH Andy, Chrissy and Stanton!”
