“Created my account online. For some reason my account was flagged for fraud and could not gain access to my account. So, I ended up customer service I was told as a precautionary measure I would have to find a branch and verify in person. Frustrated that I had to go in and this branch being the closest I was timid. I am African American and reading that they are discriminatory towards us as color I did not want to go. However, I did any ways. Sometimes you can’t go off whatever others say because when I tell you it was two of the nicest people there Gretchen (not that it matters) - Black and Alec (White) they were as sweet as butter cream icing on a strawberry cupcake. Alec helped me very calming/reassuring demeanor explained to me that creating online is supposed to be easier however they’re taking precautions by having customers come in verify that they are who they say they are. My only recommendation if you are looking to opening account with this “key bank” is to open in person. They are wonderful people. You won’t regret it”
