βHad a great experience here looking for media and other treasures. They have a big selection of records, Cd's, tapes and other media. For those looking for retro TV's they have a pretty good stock of CRTs in the back. Lots and lots of other stuff including tools, fixtures, furniture, and lots of miscellaneous. A good place to come dig around in and see what you can find. Prices were reasonable on media items.β
βLove save a lot. Great prices. Well stocked and always friendly and efficient check outs. The Mt Morris location parking lot is very hazardous due to numerous pot holes.β
βIt's a dollar store. They have lots of items to choose from. Tons of little toys and household iems. Snacks galore! A large balloon selection and party supplies and favors. Quality is not bad for the cost! ???β
βMelissa who checked us out on 11/29 was an absolute delight. We had a good conversation as she checked us out and told us all the great things about joining the rewards program (which we did sign up for!) When we left, we discovered our car battery died. We didnβt have anyone in the area readily available to help us, but who I believe is a worker there (I unfortunately did not catch a name but he was dressed in all black, tan, and dark hair) gave us a jump, literally saving our night.β
βI just want to say when it comes to some quick quality shopping I got to this dollar general the staff is extremely helpful and the manager is the best I come here all the time even if I'm on the other side of town prices are great and the store is clean .....I will be shopping here as long as they are thereβ
βAssociate's were helpful in finding the items I needed. Although checking out was slow it was due to the cashier assisting a few people with special needs and making sure they understood what they were doing, which to me shows how well this particular cashier has compassion and cares about her customers as a whole no matter the situation! I've never been disappointed when i have visited this store and i recommend it to people!β
βHit or miss with how busy it is. Sometimes thereβs only a couple people, sometimes itβs packed full. The lines take a little longe than most places, but itβs also cheaper than everywhere.β
βMix or store brands and national brands, most sections such as produce, dairy, baking supplies, etc are a fraction of a regular food store selection. Buyers should know there prices and make informed decisions on cost, quantity, quality, and limited options as not every item is a value. Aldi like in packing up your own purchases, supplying your own bags or buying their bags or use empty boxes from the aisles to pack and transport the purchases. More variety of frozen pizzas than frozen meals, a seemingly changed up product lignup, and small selection of sizes, flavors, and product.
Clean, bright, plenty of parking, good for basics and fill out the necessities elsewhere. Overall savings and reduced stress of shopping makes it worth the effort of planning, multi destination stores, etc.
These days, any savings are important and worth the extra effort.β

βI frequent the Dollar General on Coldwater Rd. Within the past year there has been a significant difference with the service and cleanliness! In all honesty, I actually enjoy shopping in there now. The staff greets you when you come in. The floors are clean (to be concrete floors) and it even smells clean now. There is no stale stench in the air. The shelves are stocked and I can actually make my way down the aisle without having to walk around products or trip over boxes (I can't say that for the surrounding Dollar Generals) Not only that, I've also overheard other customers saying the same thing! It's nice to know that they take pride in our local store now.β
βThey may not always have exactly what you are looking for with regards to the specific brands that they sell, but you will indeed save money when you shop here and pick up any grocery and food items! I would highly recommend this business if you are a bargain shopper!β
βFive Below, always fun and interesting items to buy! Kids like it because they think they can shop like kings! Easily seen from Linden Road in Flint, lots of parking in a well lit, busy lot. Clean and well stocked, staff is friendly and very helpful!β

Went in to get several balloons filled, while the store was busier than expected.
Justin was the epitome of customer service. Line never stopped, and the balloons got filled ASAP! Just a good guy doing a great job at this location!β
βThe family dollar is a good place for a quick trip for a few groceries and their prices are quite low compared to a convenience store and there is a variety of household items,cleaning supplies and even toys and pet supplies,itβs fast,cheap and the employees are always very friendly and helpful.β
βThe store has a lot of stock and so much to choose from. I like the convenient location to my house and work. Its also just down from McClaren Hospital. Highly recommend this store!β
βProbably one of the best/better Dollar Generals in the Flint/Burton area. Its super close to home which makes it easy to do a quick run up for needed supplies or groceries. I've been going here since I was a kid and honestly they've done a lot of remodeling and improvement through the years.
Only complaint is due to remodeling, they often change the placement of certain items which can be a little confusing for recurring shoppers, and staff is a little low meaning you might have to wait a minute or two before checking out somedays, but I feel that could easily be fixed with a bell or alert that someone is up front. Fixing the self checkout would also help out quite a lot.
Otherwise, it's a great store for quick or cheaper shopping!!β
βIt's rare that I participate in a survey, but I was impressed the moment I walked in the door and was greated with a jovial "Helll-oooo" while the cashier was checking someone out. I honed in on his interactions at the front while I shopped and noticed genuine interest and enthusiasm in his voice with each customer. His good mood was contagious. In an age where quality customer service seems lost, Daniel shines. Take care of that boy, he is certainly taking care of your store and customers. I will make it a point to shop there regularly all thanks to the exceptional experience Daniel created for all the customers in the store this afternoon.β
βThis location, DAVISON RD at ARLINGTON, services a LARGE AREA. I like their employees! Is the store a lil messy sometimes? But do you STILL FIND WHAT YOU NEED THERE? I do and if I don't see what I'm looking for I ASK THE MNGR. Sure enough! They are the ONLY ONES out of the Eastside stores who HAD A WINDOW FAN IN STOCK! They DO THEIR BEST and I really APPRECIATE this store! They ALWAYS have underclothing, SOCKS too IN STOCK and there is a MARKED DOWN clothing area where I got a gorgeous powder blue insulated HOODIE last winter for $10! i t WAS $19.99 so have fun HUNTING and ASK someone if you need something! ?β
βAlways a wide variety of things here if you want a cheap t-shirt or some socks but don't want to go far there is always a great location near you to visit a Family Dollar !β

βThe store manager has really done a lot to bring this store around. They now have a decent grocery selection with a frozen food section and dairy along with the non perishables you expect to find. The aisles are usually stocked well, but there are still many times that carts full of stock are left out in an aisle making it difficult to shop and maintain social distancing.β

Everything was well organized and clean. No products laying about on the floor anywhere.
Elijah and Titana were very polite courteous and above all Professional.
Once I returned home I explained my interactions with them and how great my experience was. We will definitely keep coming to this particular Dollar General.

βThe sales associate Melisa went above and beyond when checking me out, she talked about her love of podcasts about turtles and short wave radio. We had many laughs, but all in a timely manner truly a asset to this dollar general location.β
βLove the prices and the fact there are no long lines. The clearance section could use a little work. The managers are well equipped but need to learn more about their tethered system. Moving over to New software made it impossible to use digital coupons with manufacturing coupons. I think they should move their clothes rack back and pull their sunglasses and outdoor stuff upfront instead and the racks outside look horrible clean that up. All above they do a great job!β

βVery clean, great staff. I use to go to Walmart but not no more. Family Dollar has almost everything that Walmart does, only they don't have the crowd. I love Family Dollar in Genesee Township. Keep up the good work.β
