“Clean hotel with great pool and indoor/outdoor hot tub. The kids loved swimming for a night as a mini vacation.
I can’t give it 5 stars though because we paid more per night than I typically do and they do not include breakfast. It’s a pain to go get breakfast elsewhere with kids or pay extra versus walking downstairs and having the cost already part of the room rate.”

“Wanted to stay near FMG, took a chance on Country Inn & Suites and was not disappointed. The lobby was clean and the staff were friendly, and who doesn’t love fresh coffee & cookies after a long day on the road?
Our room on the third floor looked out at Beltline and 96, and while we could see lots of traffic we heard nothing of it. In fact, we were pleasantly surprised at the quietness of the room overall. It was a very clean, comfortable stay.
Bonus: the door to the room doesn’t make a sound when it closes behind you. This means you don’t have to hear anyone else go in or out of their rooms nearby either.”

“Holiday Inn Downtown has EXCELLENT SERVICE!! The Front Desk has welcoming smiling faces. They was very polite. The Lobby Attendant Margarete was so helpful. I asked her for ideas and directions. She was a big help‼️ I told her she should become a Concierge. The lobby and restroom was nice and clean. I would definitely revisit this location again.

“I recently spent two nights at this hotel while in the city for work, and overall, I had a great stay. Parking was easy with both self-parking and valet options available. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and the lobby was spotless with a fresh, pleasant scent — a great first impression.
My room was beautiful, modern, and very clean. I especially loved the cozy corner sofa and table, which made the space feel more like home than a typical hotel room. The bathroom was well-equipped with both a tub and a standing shower, though the sink area was a bit smaller than expected.
I did try the on-site restaurant — while convenient, the prices were on the higher side and the food was just okay. If you have other dining options, I’d recommend exploring those instead. There’s also a Starbucks in the lobby, though be aware it closes at 2 PM, which was earlier than I’d hoped. The mini market downstairs was helpful for quick snacks, but I was expecting a wider selection.
A highlight of my stay was the housekeeping staff, especially one kind lady I encountered twice in the main lobby. She greeted me warmly every time, even called the elevator for me — truly a standout in terms of hospitality.
I also took advantage of the gym and pool, both of which were very clean and well-maintained. Unfortunately, the sauna was closed for maintenance during my stay. My room was located near the elevators, and it did get a bit noisy, especially with music playing in the hallways late into the night, which made it harder to fall asleep.
Despite a few minor inconveniences, I’d definitely consider staying here again. The cleanliness, comfort, and friendly service really stood out.”

“This is a great downtown hotel to stay in. Clean rooms. Quiet hallways. Pretty much all you could hope for from a hotel. Except that they charge $11 per person for a mediocre breakfast. Pretty much the only hotel in town that does this. Seems kinda petty? Yeah but there’s the rate and the parking costs. So keep your $11. Just my .02.”

“Hi my name is Papi and I'm a Siberian Husky. I just spent around 3 weeks at this hotel with my Mom and Dad while our house was being fixed, we had a king suite. It was the best time I've ever had. Everyone was so nice to me they greeted me every time I came in and sometimes they petted me and said what a good boy I am. Lots of them commented on how handsome I am too, (which is true). I'm posting some photos of my activities which included; napping, power napping, watching TV and snacking... This is a very dog friendly hotel and I really enjoyed my stay I hope I get to go back soon and see all of my friends! Thank you Staybridge Suites Airport!

“Was only in town for a weekend and needed something clean, convenient and not a ton of money. This place hit all of those wants! It was very clean, service was very good from the staff, beds and linens were all clean. It has a fridge and a microwave which I was not expecting. Nice channel line up. Beds and pillows could use updating but everything else was very good. Would definitely come here again!”

“This is the closest hotel to GRR. Combined with the park & ride option, it is ideal for traveling. Travelers will also like the nice little breakfast buffet served daily.
Staff are helpful and personable. The young woman working the front desk remained cordial and unflappable even as the lobby filled with worried guests gathering on this low floor watching the TVs for the minute by minute updates on an approaching tornado. WELL DONE!
Of course, my room was clean and had all the expected stuff including liquid hand soap and shower gel, along with shampoo, conditioner and lotion.

“Beautiful hotel, had a lovely stay. Only downside is no hotel parking. If you can manage streetwise parking, its really nice and there are lots of parking garages - just no lot for the hotel itself.”

“We checked in at Midnight. All was quiet. The hallways have pretty, well maintained carpet. The rooms are starting to show age if you look. My mom loved that they carried DOVE bathroom products. We check out right at noon without housekeeping knocking which was nice. We did not see much else because we were there to just rest and off to the hospital again.”

“This hotel staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. My daughter was having surgery at Corewell Health South Pavilion early morning. So we stayed overnight as the hotel was conveniently located 4 minutes away.
Sadly I booked through booking.com which I want to stress I WILL NEVER DO AGAIN. There was a problem and the company was a nightmare to work with. Justina and Serena went ABOVE AND BEYOND TO HELP ME DEAL WITH booking.com. Words cannot express how grateful I am for those two. I’d give it a 10 star if I could for service

“Visited during a pretty busy weekend in town. The gentleman at check-in was very courteous despite a clearly hectic day. The room was clean; there were lots of people coming and going, but I didn’t hear any majorly disruptions so it wasn't that bad. Breakfast was well-organized with good hot options. About a 10 minute ride into downtown without the chaos of paying for/finding parking!”
“We stayed here for two nights. It definitely looks kinda sketchy from the outside but it was a pleasant stay! Our room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint was that the pillows were abnormally small and they only provided us with two, which was slightly uncomfortable for two people. Hotel itself is right off the highway so getting into town took less than 10 min which was great. Good location for the price!”
“my partner logan and i and our cat have been staying here for a while now since our eviction back in april. the staff is friendly and amazing!!! older motel that has been spruced up. clean and housekeeping do their best to keep the motel clean. neighbors are nice, just trying to get by till they can find an apartment etc. it's a place of 2nd chances, and a chance to rebuild hope. i only wish the weekly rooms had a bigger fridge that also had a freezer.”

“Stayed 2 nights. Pool and fitness room available but we didn't use. Gentlemen that looked after breakfast was awesome! He made sure that the egg trays and hot biscuit trays were always full and available. He always checked to make sure that guests were happy. We had eggs, fruit and toasted bagels the first morning and made our own waffles the next morning. Good value for the money.
Rooms: Rooms were average and featured coffee makers and fridge.
Nearby activities: Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.
Walkability: Can walk to restaurants and shopping (Meijer's across the street)
