“Absolutely loved my stay! The hotel was spotless, beautifully decorated, and felt very welcoming the moment we walked in. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and the customer service was genuinely outstanding. The room had a water front view and very comfortable, quiet, and had all the little touches that made it feel luxurious. The location was convenient, in the downtown neighborhood , the amenities were excellent, and my overall experience exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay that come with free breakfast and drinks and snacks during your entire stay.”

“The rooms were great- clean, had microwave/fridge, and plenty of storage. The pool and hot tub were a huge hit with my kids. The pool was clean and kept warm. The hot tub was bigger than I expected, it was kept hot and the indoor/outdoor concept was great! Location wasn't the most convenient, food/ stores were a little bit of a drive. It was a little bit on the pricier side, but we would definitely go back. Want to shout out Curtis for his outstanding customer service, professionalism with friendliness, and attention to his customers.”

“We had a wonderful stay at the JW Marriott Grand Rapids! The location was perfect—within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops, and everything downtown has to offer. The accommodations were beautiful, clean, comfortable, and made for a relaxing weekend. A special thank you to Meghan at the spa for an outstanding massage. She was professional, attentive, and truly made for an exceptional and rejuvenating experience. We also want to recognize Nate with valet services. His warm welcome, friendly attitude, and outstanding hospitality set the tone from the moment we arrived. He consistently went above and beyond to make us feel valued and taken care of. The entire valet team welcomed us each time we returned and bid us fun as we went off to our adventures. From the excellent service to the beautiful property, every part of our stay exceeded expectations. We look forward to staying here again the next time we’re in Grand Rapids!”

“Arrived later than expected. Ashley & Christine(?) were helpful with local information. Had a room issue only because reservation person didn't put in correctly but we solved the problem. Ms Stephanie seems to work very well managing her staff. FYI-parking is good until 6pm on check out day. You keep your key until you leave the garage.”

“Breakfast every day was absolutely great. Diverse options( fruit, granola, yogurt, eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, cereal, waffles.) room was perfectly clean. All appliances and air conditioner worked great. Furniture was clean, shower was clean. Direct TV cable so alot of channels to browse. Pool and hotub outside is a great touch. Along with the new grill to cook out on. And a cozy fire pit to gather around with a few beers and friends on a cool night was a very nice touch. Staff was amazing. From David the maintence man bless his heart. Works so hard, to nick the general manager who is very welcoming and witty makes you feel like one of his friends. Heide was absolutely amazing as a front desk worker as was alexia and abby. No task was to small for them and they were very warm and welcoming. The hotel itself is very homey. The whole experience was absolutely amazing. Will definitely be returning. Kudos to this location they clearly know what they're doing here.”

“This is the closest hotel to GRR. Combined with the park & ride option, it is ideal for traveling. Travelers will also like the nice little breakfast buffet served daily. Staff are helpful and personable. The young woman working the front desk remained cordial and unflappable even as the lobby filled with worried guests gathering on this low floor watching the TVs for the minute by minute updates on an approaching tornado. WELL DONE! Of course, my room was clean and had all the expected stuff including liquid hand soap and shower gel, along with shampoo, conditioner and lotion. - BTW the tornado missed us ;-)”

I really Think that this hotel provides exceptional service from the really great breakfast to the staff everything is organized properly and staff is really kind. Specifically, wanna thank Mahrielle your front desk agent, she went above and beyond on multiple of my stays, helping me with bags and showing me directions to great food places just overall such a pleasant experience she brings a really positive and vibrant attitude as soon as you walk in makes everything feel welcoming and just truly exceptional(: Mahrielle thank you for all you do! 🤍”

“Was only in town for a weekend and needed something clean, convenient and not a ton of money. This place hit all of those wants! It was very clean, service was very good from the staff, beds and linens were all clean. It has a fridge and a microwave which I was not expecting. Nice channel line up. Beds and pillows could use updating but everything else was very good. Would definitely come here again!”

“The only reason this loses 1 star is specifically because of 1 hotel staff member/cleaner. Apparently when breakfast is SERVED from 6:30am-10am on Saturdays, it means you better have gotten your breakfast items before 930am, becuase this one staff member started swiftly clearing out the inventory of breakfast items right around 930am. She was giving everyone still grabbing items the stink eye for 30 mins and I literally watched her eye up the people at the waffle iron who poured their waffles in at 950 and as soon as they walk away to grab a drink she unplugs the irons! They were mid cooking their waffles mind you, batter still in the iron!... And then had the gull to argue with the guest telling them that breakfast ends at 10am, acting like they were in the wrong for making food 10 Mins before the 10am end time. Food that has a whopping 2 minute timer meaning it would have clearly been done cooking well before 10am. Absolutely ridiculous. You are in a Guest Service industry, that is completely unacceptable behavior, especially when no guests are even being rude to begin with. I could understand promptly removing food and shooing people away (in a more guest friendly manner) AT 10am... But not 30 mins before the advertised end time. Other than that, the stay was nice. The 3 different front desk staff I interacted with during my stay were all very friendly and helpful. Bed was far more comfortable than expected for a budget priced hotel, which was really nice, haven't slept that well in a while at a hotel. Room itself was as expected for the price. Nothin fancy but has what you need. Clean and tidy. You can keep the fan running constantly in the AC unit, which is a HUGE plus for someone like me who needs white noise to sleep better. Overall would stay again, and will be sure to guard my waffle iron 10/15 mins before the end of the breakfast time.”

“Visited during a pretty busy weekend in town. The gentleman at check-in was very courteous despite a clearly hectic day. The room was clean; there were lots of people coming and going, but I didn’t hear any majorly disruptions so it wasn't that bad. Breakfast was well-organized with good hot options. About a 10 minute ride into downtown without the chaos of paying for/finding parking!”

“We stayed here for two nights. It definitely looks kinda sketchy from the outside but it was a pleasant stay! Our room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint was that the pillows were abnormally small and they only provided us with two, which was slightly uncomfortable for two people. Hotel itself is right off the highway so getting into town took less than 10 min which was great. Good location for the price!”

“my partner logan and i and our cat have been staying here for a while now since our eviction back in april. the staff is friendly and amazing!!! older motel that has been spruced up. clean and housekeeping do their best to keep the motel clean. neighbors are nice, just trying to get by till they can find an apartment etc. it's a place of 2nd chances, and a chance to rebuild hope. i only wish the weekly rooms had a bigger fridge that also had a freezer.”

“Stayed 2 nights. Pool and fitness room available but we didn't use. Gentlemen that looked after breakfast was awesome! He made sure that the egg trays and hot biscuit trays were always full and available. He always checked to make sure that guests were happy. We had eggs, fruit and toasted bagels the first morning and made our own waffles the next morning. Good value for the money. Rooms: Rooms were average and featured coffee makers and fridge. Nearby activities: Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Walkability: Can walk to restaurants and shopping (Meijer's across the street) Food and drinks: Good restaurants nearby”
