I think "carnival" might be overeating the experience of buying my 2, 5, 8 and 11 year old shoes.
But then again "Shoe S*** Show" probably wouldn't help from a marketing perspective.
Only good things to say about the store, just my posse of small children that made it feel a little less then a carnival.

“Great service and goods. We went in for bats not knowing anything about length, drops, etc. Eden in the Wyoming (Michigan) store was so kind, so patient, and very, very knowledgeable. It was so great. We ended up buying a bat, some batting gloves and the protection plan on both of them as there is such a great value in them. Thanks, Eden!

On 4/18/26 we came in again and worked with Jacob tonight. He was very kind, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. He taught us about several items that could help us with baseball and did a wonderful job helping to steam my son's new glove!!! Thanks, Jacob!!! You rock!!!”

“My first experience here was amazing! This was my first time buying a pair of cowgirl boots so I absolutely lost on how they should properly fit. I lost a lot of weight and am now able to wear a regular pair of boots. And I have always worn a wide shoe so I was stuck on finding a wide size. Well, that's not the case anymore. I can now wear a standard width boot. I am so happy that I chose the Boot Barn as my first experience buying boots!! They have a customer for life!”

“This was my first time at a professional running store and I couldn't be happier. The sales associates were very knowledgeable and helpful. I went in with a general idea of the shoes I was looking for, I was fitted for my shoe size and width, and they grabbed a half dozen different styles and brands for me to try on and run in to find my best fit.
