“My FAVORITE post office! Tim, and Laura make sure everyone feels right at home when visiting. I've never been to any post office where everyone's personality is GREAT, fun, and always upbeat! If I could give this post office 10 stars I would. The only downside is that they aren’t open Saturday's, and close at 5pm M-F. 6:30/7pm would be a great closing time, but I do understand that romulus isn't a very big town, and they probably don't have enough customers to really stay open that late. “I went in about 2 months ago to turn in my passport application, and they were a million times better than the other 2 post offices I tried. The workers were great and helpful. I’m deducting a star because no one answered the phone when I tried calling at different times.
You do have to make a passport appointment online (I think they had signs about not doing walk-ins?, even tho the website makes it look like every PO has walk-in hours), and the website sucks hard, but I figured it out: every PO has different days and times they do passports. You have to look at their passport hours first, and then try to schedule an appointment only during those times. (Also, no same-day appointments.) That worked for me.
Other tips: if you don’t have a printer, pick up the application from a PO ahead of time and fill it out. I went to Walgreens for a picture, but this PO offered to take one even tho I didn’t choose that with my appointment. They also offered to make copies of my documents, which some PO’s don’t because they’re not required to. I recommend making 2 of your birth certificate, one for yourself in case you need it while the Dept of State takes your real one and mails it back. Make sure you read how to pay the Dept of State, I wrote a check, while for the PO charge I used a credit card.”
“The people who work here are always very helpful and very pleasant. I enjoy that. There’s never a line here and they ALWAYS have the most insane selection of stamps including international/global, yearly collections, special character's, historical stuff. They seem to do some passport stuff here too. This is 100% my preferred post office as someone who goes to the post office a lot.”

“I am only giving this location a 5 star because of Gary Hicks. Why is he the only employee ever working the counter ? This location has no staff except for this one employee. If your employees call off get the supervisor to help . I come into this location once a month with 100 certifies hold the line up out the door and no one ever comes to help. Gary is patient and kind all I can do is work along side with him while he services me and other customers. Give this man a raise he deserves it!”

First of all...I never have gotten my mail on time or at a consistent time since the old mail carrier retired and moved out of state.... Now.. I rarely see my mail until after 630p some days... And packages are even worse! I get it....short staff blah blah blah but come on..! How long are you going to use that excuse usps!? Do better! People need their mail TIMELY AND CONSISTENTLY! THAT'S NOT ASKING A LOT SEEING AS ITS A RIGHT OF OURS! My informed delivery showed a very important package....my glasses so I could see....for delivery today.. But instead of them going from Detroit facility to Westland they end up in canton! Even further! Now I have no delivery date and can't contact anyone at the Damn post office of course! Why do they even have a number listed...they never answer the phone! I am so frustrated and have had this issue for years now and made multiple complaints and it never gets better.! Ever since I moved out here mail delivery has absolutely sucked! Do better! Plan accordingly! Something geez! I've had it!”

“On 9/1/21, I experienced a rude female USPS employee. The blue drop box states 5:00 p.m. collection pick up time. It was 4:34 p.m. when the employee rolled away the mail bin from the blue drop box. She refused to answer me in a professional manner, if the mail that gets placed into the drop box at the present time 4:35 p.m., will not be collected or processed until the following day?”
“This place rocks! Super nice postal carriers who truly deliver rain, sleet, or storm! They start at the wee hours of the morning and deliver until it's dark out. I trust the post office because they do a great job! Some ppl in the comments clearly think the world revolves around them. It's sad that adults are allowed to post such ridiculousness. “For any of you wondering, there is a difference between the Allen Park Post Office and the Allen Park USPS distribution center. The post office is small and it's virtually impossible for packages to be lost for weeks. The distribution center is a completely different ball game.”

“I'm sad to see bad reviews. I am a small business owner and I have used this post office for 2 years now. I have never had an issue with any of my prepaid postage parcels going missing or not being scanned in to active tracking information. In the past I have had issued with other post offices not scanning in every parcel. So far, so good. And in my experience, the people who work here are absolutely the most pleasant and professional. Remember these are government employees and should be treated with respect. This is a good place.”
