    “Shout out to their amazing worker Robert. I accidentally sent money to the wrong card before going shopping. I had almost $200 of groceries in my cart and was absolutely humiliated when my card was declined. I was already having a really bad day and just broke down right there and then. He was absolutely amazing walking me through my break down and told me he could hold the cart for 20 minutes. That was all I needed I ran home got the money to the correct place and came back. True to his word he held my cart for me and was ready and still extremely sweet and understanding when I came back. I already talked to the manager and told him how amazing Robert is but wanted everyone else to know as well!!!”

    “This Walmart has been a lifesaver for me. While setting up my cottages in the area for Airbnb, I visited Walmart almost every day. I've found the staff happy and helpful. I've also used their online portal to order and have things delivered. Super easy and convenient. So I started using that online app to order groceries and supplies. In this post-COVID, I know a lot of stars have trouble keeping employees, but I have seen many of the same faces every time I've been there.”

    “My wife was sent home from the ER and a prescription was phoned in. When I called, they were near closing but they could rush fill the prescription but I needed to hurry. I rushed but arrived after closing. The staff were on the way to turn in their registers but one staffer heard my groans of dismay and came back to make sure I got the med. Her name was Alicia and she really was kind and inconvenienced herself to give service that was truly above and beyond. Thank you Alicia and thank you Walmart.”

    “I usually try not to bother employees when they look busy, so I was a little hesitant to ask for help when I saw Jon moving pallets. But I’m really glad I did. Even though he was clearly working hard, he stopped what he was doing and helped me with everything I needed. Jon had such a positive and joyful attitude the whole time. He didn’t make me feel like I was interrupting him at all—in fact, he seemed genuinely happy to help.     Kroger is spending $112 million to build two new stores and renovate 15 existing locations across central and northwest Ohio. The company calls it a "record-breaking" commitment to the region. The two new Kroger Marketplace stores will rise in Canal Winchester and Delaware, Ohio, each costing roughly $30 million to build. Kroger broke ground on the Canal Winchester location on March 19 at the southeast corner of Diley Road and Greengate Boulevard. The 118,000-square-foot store is expected to open in late fall 2026 and will create around 250 jobs.

    Loblaw Companies Limited is putting serious money into its retail network this year. Canada's largest food and pharmacy retailer announced it will spend $2.4 billion in 2026 to open new stores, renovate existing locations and strengthen its supply chain. The company plans to open 70 new stores in 2026. That includes 34 Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix pharmacies and care clinics, along with 31 hard-discount No Frills and Maxi grocery stores. On top of the new openings, Loblaw will renovate another 191 stores and continue construction on a roughly 1.2 million-square-foot automated distribution center in Caledon, Ontario.
