The staff are great, they told us all about our stay.
Metamora Canine Kennel is our new kennel. Its worth the drive from Rochester Hills.

1 E High St, MetamoraThe food was good. I had cod dinner. Others had salad, Reuben sandwich, and pot roast dinner. Everyone thought their food was good. But the inside of the restaurant is very cool old style lot of wood hand crafted.

Great Lakes Dog Rescue
4079 S Lapeer Rd, MetamoraMy family visited four different shelters while on the search for a new furry friend, and I was blown away by the compassion and commitment of everyone we encountered in the rescue community. Great Lakes Dog Rescue was no exception. The director was incredibly responsive to my questions and went above and beyond to schedule a meet and greet. While we ultimately did not find the right match for my slightly neurotic beagle here, I was incredibly appreciative of the effort they put into finding forever homes for the dogs in their care.
Please don’t hesitate to look at this wonderful organization when adding a new four-legged family member! Adopt, don’t shop!
