“I’ve banked with Shelby State Bank for over 40 years. However, early this spring we thought we would try a more national bank for options. After 2 months of back and forth, poor communication, and needing “more documents “ for the underwriter…they denied us. I’ve never had that process take 2 months. Here’s the good part… I stopped in and talked with Kayla on Thursday and together we came up with a plan to help us out in 24 hours. Thank you Kayla, Ken, and Vicky for taking care of us. “Jon G. @ this branch was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and compassionate when we reached out to address an issue regarding a family member's account being compromised while recovering from serious medical issues. We had tried to resolve the issues via the call center but we had not made much progress so we decided to reach out to a branch and meet with someone in person. We couldn't have gotten luckier to get an appointment with Jon. He listened patiently to the details of what happened and them immediately took action to ensure accounts were secure. He also reached out to the appropriate departments to ensure the investigation was moving forward. He also advised us on additional steps we could take at home to address security issues beyond the bank's scope. We left feeling like a huge weight was lifted! Thank you again to Jon for being such a blessing for us during this stressful time!!”
