“Our stay at Hotel Del Mar was nothing short of exceptional. The accommodations are absolutely beautiful, with incredibly comfortable beds, a stunning lake view, a luxurious waterfall shower, and every amenity you could possibly want. The Bulgari bath products were such a thoughtful touch and made the entire experience feel truly first class.
What really sets this hotel apart, though, is the people.
Every member of the staff was warm, welcoming, and professional, but I especially want to recognize the night manager, Andrew. During our stay, we experienced one of the most terrifying moments our family has ever faced. Our beloved aunt, who has both dementia and Parkinson's disease, wandered out of our room in the middle of the night. We called the front desk in a panic, and Andrew was at our door within seconds. He immediately began searching every floor of the hotel and found her near the laundry room. Thankfully, she was tired but completely safe.
Andrew handled the entire situation with remarkable professionalism, urgency, empathy, and kindness. Afterward, he even gave me a hug because he could see how shaken I was. In a moment of absolute crisis, he remained calm, compassionate, and incredibly effective. He deserves a medal.
We will never forget his kindness or the outstanding care we received from everyone at Hotel Del Mar. If you're looking for a beautiful place to stay with a staff that genuinely cares about its guests, this is it. Thank you for turning what could have been a tragedy into a story of compassion and exceptional service.”

“Just came for lunch at their restaurant cos I heard the food was good and it REALLY IS. Great portion sizes and fresh ingredients. We were laughing at the size of their Walleye sandwich, it was bigger than my friends head. The pita bread was delicious. My burrata salad was the only dish that was mediocre, hence the 4 stars.”

“Stayed two nights and wish we had more time to enjoy this historic Inn and it's surroundings. The setting is peaceful with a pretty water view of the lake. The owners are incredibly kind, friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the history of the Inn and it's prior owners. We had a comfortable stay and enjoyed viewing the carefully chosen antiques around the property and reading stories about past owners. The location is convenient to the peninsula lighthouse, numerous vineyards, and orchards, as well as a short scenic drive to downtown.”

“We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Traverse Motel! We were traveling with our two dogs, and after staying at several budget motels on this trip, this place was truly a pleasant surprise.

The front desk attendant was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. We were given a downstairs room where we could park right outside our door, which made loading and unloading the car incredibly convenient.

The room was spotless, recently remodeled, and the bed was very comfortable. The air conditioner is a built-in wall/window unit, so it was a little louder than central air, but it actually worked well as white noise and helped drown out the traffic and outside noise.

One thing we especially appreciated was the well-maintained pet relief area located just steps from our room. Our two pups can sometimes be barkers in unfamiliar places, but they were completely relaxed here and didn’t bark once.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay here again if we’re ever back in the area. We only wish we could have stayed another night! Highly recommend this motel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, pet-friendly place to stay at a great value.”

“Recently stayed in Cabin 9 for a family vacation. The setting is absolutely gorgeous and even though all other cabins on the property were rented by a very large and active group, cabin 9 was very peaceful, however that quiet comes at the expense of a very limited view of the lake. The property is extremely well maintained and has a good amount of amenities. The beach area is well kept and the swimming area at the property has a predominantly soft sandy bottom. The newer pontoon boats are very well maintained and extremely comfortable for a day out on the lake, in addition I really loved that renting a tube is an option and the on site kyacks that are open for resort guest use. The owners truly thought of anything and everything.

The reason for four stars instead of five is for cabin #9 itself. I'm sure this isn't an issue for most but but I haven't seen my concerns brought up in any other reviews and thought this feedback could be useful for any families considering staying in Cabin #9. The upstairs bedrooms seemed to be a later addition to this unit, it seems to be an attic conversion. There is no HVAC in either of the upstairs bedrooms which made these rooms very stuffy and warm during our stay. The owner or manager was on the spot with providing fans but it didn't do much to reduce how warm these rooms are. Also, for anyone staying with small kids or unsteady older adults, there is no bathroom on the upper floor and to reach the bathroom you have to walk down a rattly spiral staircase, which in the middle of the night can be dangerous or could wake up other guests in the home. We also cooked most nights and found all the knives to be dull (but this a constant with most vacation rentals in my experience). We also had to give the grill a very thorough scrub before use but again, this isn't something I'd count against the resort, but rather, something to just keep on your radar.

Overall this is a beautiful place that's been immaculately maintained, family friendly and pride in the ownership of this resort really reflects. I would definitely stay here again given the opportunity.... But maybe not upstairs in cabin #9.”

“So I currently live right up the street from this little gas station. And I absolutely love it. I go down there for a quick, convenient drink and snack or whatever. I'm feeling ☺️ new owners, by the way, still really good.”

“Very glad to have the convenience of the gas station back open. Very disappointed in the store’s prices on items. Seriously, $4.29 for a pack of hot dog buns! Feels a bit like price gauging. You can do better!”

“We spent the weekend at Ranch Rudolf for a retirement party and had such a great time! The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the food was delicious. The pool was perfect for relaxing, and the tubing down the river was an absolute highlight. Everything was well taken care of, and the whole atmosphere made for a fun and memorable weekend. Highly recommend for a getaway up north!”

“This review is more about the service we received:
My husband and I are currently staying at the Hotel Indigo in Traverse City for the Cherry Festival’s 100th Anniversary. Yesterday, we went to grab lunch at H&L Social Rooftop Bar & Eatery in the hotel but it was very crowded. My husband and I walked around town and found everything to be extremely busy as well. We walked backed to the hotel and sat down in the Warehouse Kitchen & Cork and saw a waitress but nobody else. We asked if they were serving food. They were not, but she went out of her way to ask her manager if she could serve us food! She explained that she knew how busy the rooftop was, how busy everything is, how hot it is outside, and that management served lunch there Friday because it was just too hot. We were exhausted and hungry, but this kind young woman provided us with everything we needed and more. Please please please help us in thanking her, Sela G., for taking a little time to help 2 old, new to IHG, customers feel appreciated and grateful for staying at the Hotel Indigo.”

“We liked the place. Everyone had a good time. The indoor waterpark was 80 degrees and it felt great. Some indoor waterparks(Kalahari) are a little too cold for me, but this one is great. It's mostly for kids, but they have some adult slides,a lazy river and a adults only hot tub. I had my grandson so it was perfect. Another plus is that there are tons of restaurants along the strip that it's on, plus a meijer next door in case you forgot anything.”
