“Actually wish I could give an extra star. Of all the dog friendly hotels and there are not that many, this is one of the most well kept properties. Please know that when booking especially if not traveling with a pet. We have stayed at almost all of the pet friendly hotels, this exceeds are expectations. And we are both health care providers. Additionally, yes all places will be over priced during peak tourist travel times in Traverse City. It’s dynamic pricing which you may appreciate if you are the traveler and owner of rentals or vacation rentals. So, expect it to be high in the summer like all places. Expect this to be pet friendly and truly pet friendly. Staff are AMAZING and so welcoming. I stay for business and some days need to leave at 5a and Scott tries his best to get some basic simple things out for me to grab and go. Thank you Christy Tricia Scott Shelia and Val! And the maintenance guy. Thank you Emily and Anna (I think). You are all so welcoming to us during our stays.”

“This hotel had a beautiful view and meet the expectations. The afternoon staff were very pleasant and helpful when asked about things to do. It was close to what we were looking to do in town. We did not access the shuttle but it was available to us if we so needed a ride to town. The location was a great spot to many things.”

“This is an excellent place to enjoy Fall in Michigan. It’s remote and gives you that nice relaxed lake life atmosphere. It’s still within 20 minutes of a extremely nice Meijer. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy nature. There’s a nice firepit as well! It’s dog friendly too!”

“Very glad to have the convenience of the gas station back open. Very disappointed in the store’s prices on items. Seriously, $4.29 for a pack of hot dog buns! Feels a bit like price gauging. You can do better!”

“This place has been my go to for years. Probably 40 nights a year. I enjoy staying here. Everything from the great staff to the clean rooms, exceptionally good internet (5ms ping 50 down 40 up) gaming and streaming is excellent. Plenty of tv channels (unlike the cherry tree) Breakfast is typical hotel fare with plenty of choices and run by the nicest woman. The great people here truly make my stay enjoyable.Rooms: Rooms are always neat and clean. They have high standards.May seem like a small thing, but they don't use thin hotel toilet paper.Only thing I'm not a fan of in any hotel is the liquids in the shower in the pumps. I understand why they use them I just don't like them.”

“We had a wonderful time with our Grandsons! Everything was Great! Sure wish it wasn't a cashless facility as that posed quite a problem considering I only brought cash so as to not overspend.Noteworthy details: This is a Cashless Facility! Sure wish I would have known that beforehand!”

“An absolute gem! From the moment I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly and welcoming staff. They went out of their way to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The grab and go breakfast options were particularly impressive. The room may not be the most luxurious, but it was spotlessly clean and had everything I needed. The beds were clean and comfortable. The room had plenty of storage including a full sized refrigerator. My only room complaint is that the shower did not get quite hot enough for me. The location is unbeatable, making it convenient to access all the local attractions and restaurants. If you're looking for a budget-friendly place that still offers a fantastic location, exceptional service, and a comfortable stay, I highly recommend this hidden gem of a motel. I'd gladly return for another stay!”

“Excellent staff, clean spacious room, good breakfast! We had a great time in TC. Hotel was a very pleasant experience! I struggled connecting to the internet, manager went out of his way to assist me. All staff were very kind and courteous. Mike, front desk, was a big help. Thank you!”

“We went to their Christmas Hayride and Santa greeting. It was lovely. The hay wagon has fresh hay and was pulled by two beautiful horses and driven by a “cowboy” (which thrilled my 3 year old grandson). Beautiful ride through the woods. Following we were welcomed into a lodge gorgeously decorated for Christmas. But (again for my grandson) the highlight was Santa Claus. His costume was beautiful and he was wonderful with little children. There was plenty of time for photos next to a roaring fire. They had refreshments (cookies and hot chocolate). By far best Santa sighting this year. We’ll go back next year!”

“Hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff was super friendly. Nice amenities. And location was - almost - five-star. I love that it's close to downtown and lots of brewpubs, restaurants and shops. BUT ... it also means that rooms facing the bay are literally right on the road and the noise from cars is very pronounced. Woke us up both mornings we were there well earlier than we wanted to get up! I know the bay side is perhaps prettier, but if I stayed here again I'd ask for a room on the town side and sleep a little better.Walkability: Downtown location means you can walk to most of old downtown in 10-15 minutes at most. Great brewpubs and distilleries within a 2 minute walk.”

“Pulling in the lot was covered in ice but there qas pleanty of parking, walkomg in was quiet given the time of day but the worker was sitting in the general area on her phone instead of behind the desk, got all checked in and she was quick to run through room number and direction to room, pool times, breakfast times and rules. The stay was decent the pool area was quiet not alpt of seats and the ppol was kinda dingy, the hot tub was kinda nasty with brown bubbles and hair floating around, npt too many towels for guests either. Beds were pretty comfortable but the half sized pillows kinda sucked. Shower pressure sucked and tub was dirty. They were pet friendly wich was nice. Then for breakfast it was a small set up with prepackaged oatmeal, danishes and a small coffee bar, they had bagels and bread for toast, buscits with a pot of gravey and a single waffle maker. Not an out of this world experience but got us through the 1 night trip intended.”

“This is an older hotel which has been updated and remodeled yet has a lot of classic character remaining. The staff here were very attentive, kind and respectful. The location of the hotel is in the heart of downtown, which is absolutely stunning and beautiful. Major kudos to Amy and Sydney and all the staff for stellar service!Rooms: The rooms are quite comfortable and cozy and very cleanNearby activities: Pretty much everything around the hotel is in walking distanceSafety: You can walk any time and feel quite safeWalkability: Great walking to any shops and restaurants”
