“The best discount store ever in Michigan they're not the types to make stupid remarks like Schoolcraft Dollar General, they put Schoolcraft to shame. Also they got nice people working here! it's pretty sad when you can't go shop at a store (without them making d*** remarks!). Vicksburg Dollar General, will always have my business!”

“Nice store in our little town! Kind of small aisles, but a good selection of everything. I found everything I needed. Good deli counter, too. And nice people! :)”

“When I was growing up, we only had this tiny shack of an Asian market so most of the time we would make regular trips to Korean grocery stores in Chicago. More recently, I kept hearing about this place so I had it bookmarked to check out the next time I was visiting family. Before we visit, my husband and I load up suitcase with non-perishable Asian goods since it's cheaper where we live. So the pricing was fairly fresh in our mind when we stopped by Pacific Rim. I was pleasantly surprised that most of the pricing was within a few dollars of what we paid in LA. I think if you need anything in a pinch, this is the perfect place. Although I have to say that the Sriracha was double the cost here, but that's pretty understandable. They have a wide variety of just about everything. Pho noodles, pad thai noodles, Korean style noodles, sauces, frozen goodies, sake, soju and veggies. It also looks like they rotate out their fresh produce with whatever is in season so it was nice checking to see whatever was new. Staff here is friendly and very helpful. Their restaurant always seems busy, so it'll be nice if they can one day expand and have a sit down spot at some point. It also seems like they rotate out some dishes so they can offer a variety. My mom really wanted to try their jjampong, but when we went to look for it, it wasn't on the menu. I'm so happy that Kalamazoo/Portage has better options now for Asian groceries and food.”

“I love this Hardings! The workers here are always kind and helpful :) The only change I would make is giving the cashiers tall stools at the cash register or providing chairs for them. It would go a long ways to accommodate disabled workers.”

“This store has a small town feel imo. The meat selection is great! Ice cream machines with a ton of topping options are great! I like the location (not on Westnedge), so it isn't overcrowded.”

“They have everything you need to keep your restaurant or concession Stand with all the products needed to serve food to the masses. Reasonably priced to help keep your food costs low while producing high quality food.”

“I went there looking for specific things but had no idea of where they were and what exactly I was getting. A kind clerk helped me find the Liquid coconut oil but they were out if Arnica oil so put me on the list to contact when they order next. Very friendly people and customer service oriented. Thank you”

“What a kick a$$ little deli and store. Now under new ownership that is investing in the place and building on a solid foundation of what Robert built, the Scotts Store offers great pizza slices for lunch on the go and tasty toasted subs that are great bang for your buck. Soft serve machine during the warm weather months is a staple that was brought back and is welcome by all. The staff is really friendly and helpful. P.S. the breakfast pizza on Wednesday mornings is crazy good.”

“This is a grocery type store. My granddaughter is gluten-free and can get her things here. Today we got pie shells for Thanksgiving pies and a pretzel. Hard to get to with the construction but worth the effort.”

“Great selection of fresh items. I was traveling to this area from another state and tried this store. Purchased some refrigerated potato soup, it was very good. Also had their sushi, it was excellent. Definitely will return if my travels take me back to the area.”

“Honestly, this place is a hidden gem for most. They have a good selection of groceries, a butcher in the back, and up front you can order tacos, burritos, etc. Also, they make their own salsa (Roja & Verde), which is really good.”

“Way to go store manager Rich for thinking outside of the box and going above and beyond and ensuring that we could correct my issue with the deli slicing smaller chunks of cheese to ensure there wasn’t a danger to staff.”

“In general a nice place to go! Stocked well. Most of the cashiers are nice and I enjoy talking to them. One of the younger folks is blank-faced, lacking personality, but it’s whatever.”

“Great fresh vegetables, and the best gluten-free bread I have ever found. Note: They recently went to a computerized, self-serve only check-out and only accept credit or debit cards. They do not accept cash.”

4.2 Good47 Reviews

“Great selection of different foods. They have the option of having the bagger take out the groceries for you for free. They have a hot bar and the food is good for a grocery store. They also have a bakery love the fresh different types of breads they have here. Everyone is friendly and the store is organized and clean.”

“This is the cleanest, most organized DG in our area. The management seems to really be trying hard to keep this new store in top shape. People at the registers are friendly and helpful, too!”

“I like it, I visit often. Nice employees, and I'm just finding out lately that there are things there that I use alot. It's a little more expensive, but I don't want to go to Walmart everyday.”

4.1 Good24 Reviews

“This store is perfect for that last minute idem that you need. There's a nice selection of products that are smaller and cheaper than big box. And it's right down the street from where I live. Bonus!!Seasonal stuff rotation with the season. And new stuff all the time. Always a quick store to stop at sometimes faster than gas station.”

“I like Hardings. It's smaller, so your selections are somewhat smaller, but all the basics are covered. The prices are higher, but the convenience of being able to run in, grab a few things, and leave in 10 minutes, an impossibility in a large store, make the prices worth it. The employees are always nice, friendly and helpful. The store is very clean. But be careful-their fresh deli foods, bakery items, fresh produce, and sale items may result in you, like me yesterday, going in for a bag of potatoes and ending up getting $57 of groceries!”

“This is the cleanest, most organized, and best stocked Dollar General stores that I've ever been to. It seems to be run by people who care to make it a nice place to shop.”

“After three days and driving several miles between three Target stores and hitting several barriers to get my Consumer Cellular phone activated (my old one was no longer working) I had the great fortune to be served by Blake Littlejohn in the Westnedge. It was clear that my needs did not fit his job description, so he asked his manager's permission to help me. His technical skills were just what I (a tech challenged senior citizen) needed to get connected. His courtesy and willingness to go the extra mile reminded me of my earlier years when customer service was routine and not the exception. My thanks to Blake and his manager for their sensitivity to my particular needs.”

“The store is currently under some new renovations, new floors all new everything. The store was in need of a redo beforehand but every employee I’ve ever spoken to there has been nice and I’ve had no reason to rate it anything other than a 5.”

“I'm adding this review to the Portage Ave. store. Not very often do you go into a DG and have not one but all the staff great you and ask if you need help. The people working Saturday January 6th, day shift around 12:-1pm were all so helpful. The store was nice, clean and well stocked. Also something you don't see often at a DG. I am sure this company doesn't have great reviews but I wanted to give credit where credit was due. I have another DG that is closer to me, but from now on I will only go to this one. Management should be very happy with their staff and give them some kudos.”

3.3 Good17 Reviews

“This is a well kept and popular store worth a great selection of everyday goods. It is really a good place for one stop shopping. The prices are better on average than the competitors.”

“I am giving a five star rating to one employee in particular, and extraordinary young lady named Saba. She was working the self checkout lane and was everything an excellent employee should be. She was proactive and engaging and remarkably efficient. I heard her tell each and every customer to have a nice day and drive safely. Any retailer would be so blessed to have her working there. Well done, Saba.”
