“Great hotel with easy access to the Detroit airport!

Staff working the front desk were polite and knowledgeable. Room was spacious, clean, and seemed to be recently renovated.

Hotel amenities were also nice. Small snack store in the lobby, fitness center, and an indoor pool with a hot tub.

The breakfast was one of the better hotel breakfasts I have eaten at. Very impressed by the omelette station they offer.

Would stay here again, recommend it to anyone needing a place to stay near the airport.”

“OMG.. Theresa is the best!! She took great care of me and my significant other. We checked in very late but she still took the time to give us a full tour of the establishment and made sure we had everything we needed!! After a very long day Theresa made it 100 percent better..”

“Booked a park, stay and fly package at the Westin located at DTW. When we booked online we were prompted to qualify for a Marriott CC, approval gave us a GREAT room discount. Loved being able to pull up to the terminal and hand car keys to valet. Then when we returned they had our car parked in front of the terminal and warmed up! Awesome stuff! If you fly out of the same terminal as the hotel, all you have to do is walk from the hotel directly into the terminal. If you fly out of the other terminal they have an easy to use shuttle. Restaurant at the hotel is great! Hotel was beautiful and clean. Will stay again!”

“Location is perfect distance to the airport, and hotel is nice. Lots of pilots and flight attendants stay here too. Shuttle runs every 20 minutes from 4am till midnight to and from the airport too. Would recommend!”

“Very nice front desk. Pleasant environment. But the shuttle service is terrifying. The male driver speaks rude words to tourists. Avoid the male driver who may attack people.”

“Man, we always dig a Hampton. On this occasion, we were driving a friend to the Detroit airport for an early flight, so we all had a nice meal at Leonardo's and spent the night close by.

The dude at the desk went out of his way to put our rooms next to each other. We would have been fine, but he insisted.

Our room was a king suite - ooh la la! Kind of a strange layout. The bed was sideways with our feet facing the window. And the space between the bed and the window was taken up by a couch, which I think was a pull-out. No side table or coffee table for the sofa. There was a round table instead of a desk. And a pretty nice upholstered office chair. None of these things matched in looks or in function. I ended up dragging the table over to the couch to set my drink on. And I used the office chair as an ottoman. There was an enormous tv hanging on the wall. We watched Clueless.

The beds at Hamptons are always comfy. The pillows are usually great, too. Both being true at this location, I slept so soundly that my wife had to nudge me when my alarm went off in the morning.

A possible downfall of any hotel is the water pressure. Many don't have enough to blast the shampoo out of my thick hair. This Hampton location did okay. Our bathroom was very clean. Our towels were neatly arranged.

Hamptons have free breakfast, which almost always includes 2 or 3 hot items, bread and bagels with appropriate spreads, hard-boiled eggs, a make-your-own waffle station, yogurt, oatmeal, some kind of fruit, and pastries & muffins. Plus juices, coffee, and milk. Today's location also had almond milk. I had a little premade omelet thing, a couple of slices of processed ham, and some pretty good home fries. A couple of notches above adequate.

The kind woman at the desk this morning helped me get back into our room to retrieve our leftovers from dinner. Very gracious and helpful.

Overall, this one's a keeper.

Really nice”

“So happy this place exists. We were delayed for several hours overnight and ended up finding the quieter, private space a great respite from the chaos of the busy airport. There's only a few napping pods so plan ahead when possible. It was clean and everything we expected. It was about $170 for 2.5 hours.”

“Under renovation. Rented rooms with stained carpets and sheets that should have been retired, but room seemed mostly clean. They need to do one floor at a time.”

“I used to love this place but things have changed. The new staff is very off putting and rude. I work from out of town so my visits can be spontaneous. I walked in Jan 2nd to book a room around 10 am, I asked if there was any rooms available and before I could even finish speaking the lady the front desk started barking at me so I just turned around and went to Best Western next door. They charged me a extra $25 for early check in but that was cool for me! The rooms were much nicer!”

“I stayed here with my wife and kids while visiting scenic downriver. I forgot my alarm clock which could have spoiled the entire vacation. Luckily, the hourly wake up calls courtesy of the Southgate Police Department saved it. The many second-hand stores in the area made shopping easy and inexpensive. If you're willing to eat nothing but Little Caesar's for the time you are there, it will fall within anyone's budget. Plus, it's hooker adjacent.”

“Awesome hotel and great atmosphere with complimentary breakfast. Wonderful customer service! Also, have an indoor and outdoor swimming pool. Due to weather during the winter, only the indoor pool was utilized of course. Real trees indoor, looks like an actual garden. Great stay ??”
