“After a poor experience with a not-so-good-hood mobile mechanic company, I still had a caliper that was leaking break fluid. Like many people, I rely heavily on my car and the idea of my breaks failing was terrifying. That's when I found Auto Ave. It is a first-come-first-served system so I was there bright and early. They entire staff were very professional and friendly. They took care of my car right away, changed my rotors, pads, and caliper and they even worked with me to make it relatively affordable by allowing me to bring my own caliper. At the end of the repair, the mechanic tested my car to make sure everything was working right. The price tag was very reasonable, and they did not inflate the cost of the supplies like other companies do. I even got a 15% discount as a new costumer. I will 100% be back for any future car repairs.”

This transaction was so easy, beginning with the wonderful and welcoming lady who initially took my call and processed my paperwork, to the tow truck driver who picked up my car within 24 hours. He was on time, friendly and really went above and beyond. They made this process so easy and paid me WAY MORE than other salvage yards offered! They were also much more efficient and friendly! They also paid in CASH! The other yard I called wanted me to drive there to pick up a check (for much less $).

“UPDATE: picked my car up Friday, Mike said it was test drove about a hour, drives great all is good and this generation of car can go for years. Drove out of the lot, headed two miles for home, had to pull over within 5 minutes, over heating and dummy lights. Took it back, talked to Keith this morning, hoping for good news soon. Everything else in it seemed fine, no smoke or anything. Fingers crossed! It was about 103 degrees with the heat index at pick up,

I searched without sleep for 48 hours reading reviews and posting on local sites asking where to take my Honda, (my baby) to have the serpentine belt fixed It snapped on one of the most ridiculous hot days ever in Michigan. I have a husband and son who are not physically healthy enough to help me, so My car has been dealership maintained since its birth. She has almost 300k miles and not one dash light. I truly love my car, it is my safe place, it’s where I think, relax, with my job, sometimes sleep and I am one of those one paycheck away from losing everything, so I can’t afford a new one. I have to be able to get to work, family doctor appts, etc. My car is everything. I have RA and Lupus, I can’t be breaking down, this was scary for me to go outside the comfort of the dealership. Within 24 hours of having her towed in I received a call from Keith with the price, what the work entailed so i understood exactly what was happening. They charged a very fair price, gave me comfort of work being done and explained the warranty. If you are looking for a place to take your car, not just for a repair but to care for your baby, to keep her safe on the road, please do not hesitate to call Keith or Mike. “I own an old Toyota Camry with over 300,000 miles on it, and it’s still running strong. I have a deep emotional connection to this car—it was the very first car I drove after arriving in the U.S., and I simply can’t bring myself to sell, trade, or replace it. Although I own two newer cars, I still prefer driving my Camry for my daily commutes.

Recently, while driving, I heard a strange noise coming from underneath the car. After checking, I discovered that the exhaust flex pipe had broken and was dragging on the ground. The car became extremely loud, and I had to have it towed home.

After doing some research online, I found that replacing the exhaust pipe could be quite expensive—especially considering the car’s age and limited value. I contacted several local muffler shops, and most quoted me prices over $500.

One day, while driving down Ecorse Road, I stopped by a small shop and met Emad. I expected to hear the same high estimates I’d received elsewhere, but Emad was very honest and straightforward. He told me that it wouldn’t make sense to spend too much on an older vehicle, but since I clearly loved the car, he would do his best to help and offered me a price that was nearly half of what others had quoted.

Emad asked for a couple of hours to complete the repair and even lent me his personal car to use in the meantime—a gesture I deeply appreciated. When I returned, I was amazed. Not only had he expertly welded and fixed the flex pipe, but the car’s noise was completely gone. He even went the extra mile and cleaned my headlights, making them shine like new.

Now, my Camry drives smoothly and quietly once again. Emad’s shop may not be the most glamorous or high-end, but he has a genuine heart, strong work ethic, and honesty that’s hard to find these days. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending his shop to others.”

“I grew up in a small town where you could trust your mechanic to always look out for you; make sure I'm driving safe while not overcharging or performing maintainence so they can make a buck. I struggled to find that experience in Ann Arbor until I started taking my wheelchair accessible van to Mike at Mr. Muffler.

He is always responsive and will go out of his way to get you going that day even at the cost of him missing dinner with his family. On top of his responsive and positive attitude towards all his customers him and his team have a depth of knowledge to repair everything from my suspension to a full replacement of my engine and transmission.

I can't reccomend taking your vehicle and your family's vehicles to Mike at Mr. Muffler enough. I know I'm safe driving every day because I have a trusted mechanic who stands by his work and I feel comfortable taking my vehicle to him whenever I'm concerned over a problem because he treats me and all his customers with respect.

I been going there for a while and it always the same guys. very Friendly and approachable. they have been there a long time and anyone of em knows about everything in the shop n the services they offer. they don't Have to ask a co worker or the owner or boss. they all individually know how to run that shop. I am posting this review because this is the 2nd time they fixed my vehicle after it was messed up at uncle Ed's oil shoppe on washtenaw..I took a vehicle to uncle Ed's oil shoppe on washtenaw twice in the last few mos. my 1st time I pull up to uncle Ed's oil shoppe on washtenaw n 2 young kids are texting and laughing it up..they are about to close soon. they came up from under the vehicle n told me they can't change the oil because their are multiple leaks. well I took it to victory lane on washtenaw n all them changed my oil n said they didn't see any leaks. after that I took my vehicle to have an inspection at a dealership n they didn't see any leaks..ok well a couple days ago, I took another vehicle to uncle Ed's oil shoppe on washtenaw, it was maybe half hr before close. they advertise a 10 min oil change. they came up to my vehicle and he shoved his hand in my vehicle to the windshield n ripped off my victory lane oil sticker..n said 1st thing 1st..these guys are a bunch of @%#&$ ect..n so a few min later a guy come up from under my vehicle n said who changed ur oil last..I said victory lane, the sticker u guys just ripped off..he said well victory lane $&$% up ur oil pan n I can't get the plug off it'll wreck the plug n oil pan. it's a dealership issue now. well I called up victory lane as I left and told em. they immediately told me to come in. I came in today to victory lane n they inspected my vehicle and my oil pan is fine n they changed my oil and my oil pan plug is fine. they had no problem getting the plug out. I recommend victory lane on washtenaw Ave all day long..I strongly recommend that people do not go to uncle Ed's oil shoppe on washtenaw I've had 2 very bad experiences there consecutively.. there won't be a 3rd. my business is going to victory lane on washtenaw from here on out”
