“Awesome experience to include with my day of plans at the Mall of America. For context, I slept in the airport the night prior, so being able to relish doing a nice peaceful activity was just what I needed. I took a book off the shelf and ordered a macchiato to enjoy while reading. It was great, a book and a coffee in a peaceful atmosphere is always a delight. Can’t go wrong when you walk into Barnes & Noble.”
“We loved our first visit to Birchbark Books! It's obvious that there is a lot of care put into this store. I love the staff recommendations and highlighting indigenous authors! Staff were very welcoming!”
“Such a cute hidden gem I'm glad I stumbled upon on Instagram. They have a wide variety, chairs to sit on and read a little. Shirts for sale & great local made gifts. Don't forget to say hi to the kitties!”
“Lovely children’s bookstore that is quirky and clearly designed with young ones in mind. Staff is always happy to help or recommend books; cats roam freely through the store, and a few other animals call the bookstore home too. The best. :)”
“Not only is this a cute bookshop, but the STAFF!! They are so knowledgeable and willing to help. Their book recommendations always hit the spot I was looking for. Everyone here loves to read and it makes me so happy!”
“Dream Haven Books & Comics has all the fantasy/sci fi/adventure/horror you never heard of before walking in. Tons and tons of packed rows of books, including ones that are out of print, or signed by the author.”

“I visited this store today and was instantly in awe! Jess was amazing and was super knowledgeable. I couldn’t believe the selection! I will definitely be back!”
“I hope this local bookstore continues to stay open after so many other good places in the area have closed through the years. Love coming in here. You can expect to pay the full price for your book unlike at a used bookstore or online, but it’s worth it. They also sell journals and puzzles.”
“One of my favorite bookstores in the world - the combination of the breadth in the used collection and the intensely queer viewpoint of the curation make this absolutely hit my sweet spot”
“Has an incredible selection of books, kind staff, and just a generally nice atmosphere. Hosts fun events for all kinds of interests. Inclusive space and content for all ages and reading levels.”
“Cozy and wonderful store with an interesting selection. Meeting Nat and Zoro (bunny) was an added bonus. We will return on future trips to Minneapolis; in the meantime, we'll use the online store.”
“Location has a great selection of all areas, including magazines, children's books and children's toys. Store is always clean and staff have always been friendly and helpful.”
“What an amazing and welcoming bookstore! It’s so nice to be greeted in a genuine fashion by someone who is interested in their customers. This is a charming little shop absolutely packed with paperbacks. It’s definitely worth a visit!”
“Who doesn't like Barnes and Noble for your book and coffee needs? This location has always done a good job about having the product we want in stock and if not they'll have it delivered to there location for pick up. Also the Baristas in the Starbucks are always very nice and respectful with the coffee being delicious as always! 10/10!”
“Appreciate the staff here, the game selection and the atmosphere. Definitely recommend stopping buy if your looking for books, games or a cool gift for a loved one! There weren’t any DVDs but lots of everything else though!”
“My buddy has cancer. Thanks to this place it seems that my friend has had some reduction of cancer in his lungs. I didn't say it cured him but it slowed down the process...cats claw! Go see this guy who works his potions right in the store. Tha k you man for what you do. Staff is friendly too.”

“What a place! There was a wonderful blend of new & used books, including entire series but at used prices! I left with several books and a T-shirt, I'll be back.”
“Everyone is always super friendly and helpful. I also love how inclusive they are to everyone.
Also, if you have extra paper bags you can bring them to a location for them to reuse. It's great that they're recycling.”
“Great tarot reading from Wildstar! It had been many years since my last experience with tarot readings done by others, which had been wildly inaccurate. Wildstar let me choose from many decks, thoroughly explained each card and its relationship to others, and even took pictures for me so I could recall the experience whenever I need to be reminded of the suggestions from the reading! I'll be back next time I have a question on which I need guidance from the Universe!”
“Lovely store, my niece found some great books on tarot card reading and some fantasy fiction. I enjoyed a nice tall cold beverage from Starbucks. Staff were helpful and friendly.”
“Well stocked and airy. Convenient to order online for pickup. Google Maps may give you as poor of directions as it gave me to get to the front door, but there is a parking lot with plenty of space and some street parking nearby as well. You can turn into the lot from either direction on Ford, though it is easiest if you're driving westward (toward the river).”
“Very friendly and efficient. We went there to sell DVDs and books that we were getting rid of. We got a fair price and we're hoping that someone else will be able to use them as we did.”
“The store itself was ok. There was a large selection of books for all ages. My kids were overcome with joy and excitement from the children's section and all it had to offer. The lady at the café was very rude. She did not treat customers equally. I will leave it at that.”
“Great little book store.
Lots of recommendations, local authors represented, current politics and supportive to the communit; including posters, pins and stickers to liven up your local ? protest”
“Came in from out of town, put this on my list of things to do. I'd highly reccomend this place for many reasons. Vibes are immaculate, chatted with some older comrades while browsing for books. Awesome selection of leftist books spanning the broad spectrum of the left from Anarchist theorists like Kropotkin and Bookchin to the collective works of Stalin and Ho Chi Minh. Amazing selection of Palestine and Cuba literature as well as great speculative fiction. Plenty of books on trans liberation. Cash only but the 15% discount on everything is well worth it. Absolutely would reccomend anyone to go and get smart.”
“Midway Used and Rare Books is an alright bookstore in St. Paul. They use every inch of floor and shelf space, including the basement. It’s the type of store you can spend some time getting lost in. However, they sometimes lock their doors and you have to knock to get in, making it a little less friendly than you’d want.”

“I normally don’t do reviews, but i absolutely love this place. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, hugeee selection, and one of the first trans-friendly adult stores ive seen!”
“Tons to look at. Boneshakers is a neighborhood staple. A must visit. I attended a National Collage Day event and made some button pins, under the guidance of Twin Cities Collage Collective. Tons of artwork from local artists. An excellent selection of books. Very comfortable atmosphere.”
“Great store with an always interesting collection of poetry, fiction and more. There is a cafe in the same space and a center for book arts that has art prints for sale.”
“Very helpful staff. Great selection. I enjoyed the DnD shelves. One of the staff held a conversation with my 10 year old about anime shows while I checked out which he enjoyed”
