“I took my family to GWL over the weekend and enjoyed our stay! our room was clean and prepared. The front desk people were awesome! Food was good and the water park was great. That wasn't the best part. Unfortunately my wife suffered a medical emergency in our room, I called 911 and the front desk. (my wife has since recovered fully) Von and the on site first responders were there in what felt like seconds and even out of breath from running. She was great and so was Von the day shift manager. I couldn't imagine having something like this happen and not receiving the caring support we did. They helped me gather my things with our 2 year old and even let us keep the things in our room even though we were checking out. Von offered to keep the room under our name incase we needed to stay in town, which we did for another day with my in-laws who came to town and used our room. They went absolutely above and beyond! they even called us a few days later to check in on the incident report and how my wife was doing. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!”

“Shuttle to and from airport and mall of America was convenient. Restaurant was delicious, highly recommend the chicken sandwich for dinner. Good location and clean hotel.

Stayed on the 5th floor and it was quite noisy, not sure if it was the ice machine on the floor above or what but it was quite disruptive. Front desk told us breakfast was from 6-10, next morning breakfast ended at 9 so that was frustrating, I do wish the staff communicated better so we didn’t waste our money on a breakfast voucher that they could not refund.”

“The outdoor area was under construction the entire time we were there. The gym is small and combined with a laundry room. However, the gym has plenty of free weights, a couple of treads and ellipticals, as well as an incline bench, some medicine balls and additional stuff. The laundry is free, which is a nice bonus. The breakfast layout was a little crowded but had a pretty good variety. Overall not a bad stay. No real issues. Just wish the the amenities had been little more available”

“Great location, pretty clean rooms. Unwelcoming front desk staff with the exception of Reckya/Rikkia, (unsure of spelling) who checked me out when I left, who was very kind. The other woman who checked me in seemed more concerned with her phone and who I can only assume who was her family, including a young child, who all lounged in the front lobby until at least 2 am. I was not greeted or made aware of any amenities when I checked in, including WiFi, how to access the pool, etc. Sad to see basic customer service skills and general human kindness are lost among so many people”

“We find ourselves coming back to this hotel often, as the rooms are clean and the hot tub is warm. This weekends stay prompted me to finally submit a review. Major snowstorm cancelled many flights and we ended up staying a second night. What stood out for us was Jennifer at the front desk. She was pleasant and efficient when we checked in on Saturday - but she really shone on Sunday when travel was almost impossible and people were re-booking and it was just chaos. She was calm, efficient, friendly and emphatic. She not only assisted with the rebooking of many guests, but she was super kind and provided assistance to many guests who were technologically challenged. Jennifer deserves a bonus for dealing with March 15th alone with poise and professionalism. It is staff like her that keep us coming back”

“Mark, who is a manager here tonight is not only friendly , helpful and patient, but also made this part of my rough day with 2 canceled flights be the best part of my day! He helped me get to the shuttle- literally told me on the phone how to find it at MSP airport, but then he also was so professional and friendly getting my room set up at the front desk! He needs a raise! :) Or -well, at least praise!! Thank you very much, Windham and Mark!!”
