“New owners, slowly changing things. Gas pumps are easily 45 years old. Smells like bait. Register your wild game or pick up your license. Don't go for the coffee, but they do have a smallish market of basic food necessities.”

“I am so very lucky, so thrilled every time I visit my CVS pharmacy in Grand in Rapids, Minnesota. Every single employee in that area is top quality. They are kind, considerate, knowledgeable, and so very helpful. From the pharmacist himself, to every single assistant or clerk. We are so lucky in Grand Rapids to have this fantastic pharmacy!”

“I was in Casey's today for a quick snack. While waiting in line I noticed the cashier interacting with a young customer, probably 10 years old or so. The cashier was upbeat, engaging, and appropriate for such a customer. It made me smile. Then, after he rung the young man up it became apparent that he didn't have enough money to pay for the few items he bought, but the cashier kept it upbeat, was helping him figure out what he could keep and never said anything that would embarrass or make his customer feel bad. A different customer offered to pay for the balance of his purchases and both the young customer and the cashier were immensely thankful, polite and so pleasant. It was such a great exchange to witness.
I don't know the young customer or the cashier but I made a point of finding out the cashiers name. Zach, thank you for being so great in what could have been an awkward situation for this young customer. You were awesome to him and the customer who helped. It really restored my faith in people watching how you delt with that! You are a great person.”

“A convenient store with gas pumps on a large lot on busy hwy 2 seems to be mostly a Minnesota and Wisconsin chain of stores to compete with the Kwiker. Can't miss the green and yellow scheme, the pumps will ask questions before you can refuel. I am not sure why all these stations in upstate Mn ask so many questions..and again guys, no I am not a member and don't have a card!Inside we have the usual clean well organized convenience store with plenty of take out options hot or cold. It's really getting hard to tell Lucky Seven from Holiday from Cenex from Caseys, you get the idea. At least we know what to expect. If you think they are all clean and look the same, travel to a southern state, like Oklahoma and stop in to a Circle K, whoa not in Minnesota anymore.”
