We found two oak bookshelves here. Hunting for vintage furniture with a small car is a challenge, so the fact that Chris delivered our shelves within two days, free of charge, was SO appreciated. “Such a gem. This is one of my top 5 thrift shops ever. Owners have great taste and select/present a wide variety of vintage and handmade clothes, jewelry, decor, and entertainment in a cute shop with chill vibes. We've gotten some of our favorite pieces of art and furniture from here, and appreciate that they keep the prices reasonable (rare trait these days). You can even find jewelry made by the owners AND they do amazing portraits for comission if you ask nicely. Pets and people, both! Look no further for a great gift or treasure hunt when you need a pick-me-up. Never change. Groovy's.”

“I heard of this place many years ago, but last year I moved in the area and finally got to experience the store. I mainly come here for the massages - what for my attention at first was the BOGO massage offer. They still offer this deal, but it is limited to new clients only, The store itself has a lot of pottery and home decor from around the world. Most times I go in there for a massage, I end up purchasing either their essential oils, body sprays, or room spray. Scott has a talent of combining scents well and the best part is they're not overpowering. I primarily have seen Scott for massages. You can tell he's very experienced and knows what he's doing. He takes direction well and gives the amount of pressure you're looking for. Joshua is very helpful at the checkout and always answers questions I have about the products. Scott has a certain lotion there that helps with sore muscles or arthritis. I forget the name of it, but he let me try it and it really did work. It's a little on the expensive side, but it works marvelously and I plan to get that in the future.”

“Beautiful space and carefully curated selection. Claire is an industry legend and total treasure, wonderful to interact with. It’s a very special place. Please note: Claire’s store can be hard to find. There is no signage visible from the street. The address takes you to a great brick warehouse building (ample parking in two lots next to and behind the building) with “Art & Architecure” and other names shown outside. You have to walk through the ground level “Art & Architecture” store (fun, extensive ‘salvage antiques’ and super friendly) to get to the stairs that take you to the second level where Claire’s space is, next to some artist studios. We found a few terrific items and will be back regularly to see what new finds are on display!”

Also very conveniently placed as it’s right along both the Route 11 and 32 buses, as well as a 13 minute walk to the Route 17 and a 20 minute walk to the Route 22. For biking it’s also not too far from the Great Northern Greenway, Mississippi River Trail, Marshall Street Bike Lanes and the Lowry Avenue Share Use Paths”

“Flamingos is an absolutely magical place! I love taking out-of-town visitors there to introduce them to the quirky, silly, fun side of Minneapolis. They are consistently blown away by both the vibes and the excellent selection of vintage wares. It’s always a joy to peruse each room, and I often do multiple laps per visit. There’s so much to see, and I’ve found some incredible pieces here. My favorite finds are a glass butterfly lamp, a handmade teapot, two vintage teal wooden chairs, and a lovely original painting. My partner has found some incredible vintage men’s clothes too, especially flannels.”
