“Beautiful selection! I always look for places for bones and bug-related taxidermy, and they had plenty of it plus other very neat “trinkets” (and much more. I’m really down-selling it saying that, tbh). I was also surprised that the pricing was not as bad as I thought it was going to be (sorry, Mpls. I do expect unnecessarily overpriced things there), and my kids and I ended up getting a few things. Also, and very important anywhere you go, the staff there was so kind and helpful! We will definitely be going back — a lot. It was amazing!”
“Susan & Chris are wonderful, compassionate people. They both have an exceptional eye - every selection feels intentional, balanced, and full of character. We’ve had the privilege of working with them, and we have great respect for what they do. They’re insightful, creative, and bring the same care and integrity to their professional relationships as they do to their collection. A great business to support!”
“Lightworks didn’t have what I was looking for or wanting, but were so extremely helpful and friendly that I give them a five. Vince(?) pointed me in the right direction and was honest about the recommendation. I look forward to going back to Lightworks again.”

“Shopping at A Rare Bird feels like you’ve stumbled upon a lovely quaint European boutique filled with unique and interesting finds that are curated wonderfully, whether for the season or just every day. The owner has such an eye for color and detail. Always a treat to experience!”
“I heard of this place many years ago, but last year I moved in the area and finally got to experience the store. I mainly come here for the massages - what for my attention at first was the BOGO massage offer. They still offer this deal, but it is limited to new clients only, The store itself has a lot of pottery and home decor from around the world. Most times I go in there for a massage, I end up purchasing either their essential oils, body sprays, or room spray.
Scott has a talent of combining scents well and the best part is they're not overpowering.
I primarily have seen Scott for massages. You can tell he's very experienced and knows what he's doing. He takes direction well and gives the amount of pressure you're looking for. Joshua is very helpful at the checkout and always answers questions I have about the products. Scott has a certain lotion there that helps with sore muscles or arthritis. I forget the name of it, but he let me try it and it really did work. It's a little on the expensive side, but it works marvelously and I plan to get that in the future.”
“If you’re looking for the lost and missing gems of historic architecture, you need to stop by Art & Architecture. This company was founded years ago with a mission to rescue beautiful pieces of architectural history before they end up in a landfill.
Inside, you’ll find items that can truly elevate your home—conversation pieces that everyone notices and talks about after visiting. Whether it’s a unique fixture, vintage detail, or that hard-to-find matching door that Menards or Home Depot just can’t duplicate, this is the place to look.
On top of that, the owner-operator, Jim, is incredibly kind and very knowledgeable about the history behind the pieces he collects. It’s not just a store—it’s an experience. Stop by, find that missing item for your home, and take some time to have a conversation with Jim or one of his colleagues. You might walk away with more than just a great find.”
“An absolute GEM of a store. Every inch is loaded with vintage treasures! If you're shopping for a unique gift for a cool cat in your life, you'll find something here (and walk out with a few things for yourself too) A true mom and pop store, and a staple for thrift lovers in South Minneapolis.”
“What an experience strolling through this store! I would definitely go back. I bought a suncatcher there. When I got home, I realised I should have bought the other one too. I contacted the store via email and the response was very quick and within days I had the other one mailed to me. I am very happy with this store.”
“Each item in Antiques Bel Air is a chapter from a different storybook, and together, they create a narrative of human creativity and the passage of time. This shop is a must-visit for anyone seeking to touch the tapestry of history.”
“This store, its staff, and their ever-changing curated collection of vintage items are AMAZING. I’ve found the best light fixtures, towel bars, a sink, and even a beautiful bathtub here. Everything I’ve bought is excellent quality, and everyone has always been so friendly and helpful ensuring shipping went smoothly (I’m out of state). They went above and beyond in rewiring fixtures, and helping with the nuts-and-bolts of installation, even from afar. I couldn’t be happier with my many purchases, and I wholeheartedly recommend their website for sourcing unique, gorgeous items that will last another lifetime. Their online product descriptions and photos are terrific—I was never disappointed with anything, and always come here to find something special, beautiful, and unique.”
“I loved looking around here. The employees are very kind. Most of the pieces are decently priced. Some of it is on the higher end. But even if you’re not looking to spend money it’s a great place to explore!”

“A wonderful gem with a welcoming and informative owner. A great collection of curated and very well priced antiques. I purchased a handful of beautiful old frames to add to my collection. Can't wait to go back!”
“Great place with a variety of products. Singing bowls, carvings, textiles, jewelry, painting. The owners were very engaging. Felt like I'd known them forever.”
“Absolutely enamored with this place after today. I’d driven by a billion times outside of open hours, but never stopped in. I went specifically looking for a lampshade for a lamp I inherited from my grandparents old house, after my grandma recently passed away. Little did I know, the owner makes lampshades, so the whole thing felt slightly serendipitous. She had awesome suggestions, and took the time to show us around a bit. We’re so happy with the new addition to our living room.
The whole store is well curated, and an absolute treasure trove of yesteryear. I highly recommend a weekend stop-in!”
“Great vintage store. I go for their vintage toys, but they have clothes, records, books, and lots more. I always find something to take home with me. The owners are welcoming and nice.”
“This was such a great store. Nancy was such a great help. She guided me toward the perfect birthday gift for my wife. I highly recommend checking out this store.”
“One of my favorite stores in Minneapolis. The owner is super chill and down to earth. I genuinely enjoy going; there’s never any pressure to buy, and it’s just an overall fun experience!”
“This place is crazy! I have never seen so unique much stuff in one place. It made me wish I was a set designer for movies because this is the place I’d go to for that.”
“I love this place I've shopped here for years and Ms.B is the best I always find somthing that I just can't resist and there things are truly unique I'm so glad I can shop here because it's affordable”
“Fun store with unique and ever-changing products that includes both old and new. Great curated collection and super fund to browse. Check their facebook page for the latest hours as their only open monthly-ish.”
“H & B is a nice curated collection of antiques. The items are well priced and range from couple of dollars to thousands. It is one of the best resale shops in the Twin Cities.”
“One of the sleekest vintage stores around. I love shopping here at Christmas for ornaments and once found some stunning paper folding Christmas trees that I can't wait to put out every year. Love love LOVE the blue room. I wish I could afford and find places for it all.”
“Wow! Absolutely adore this shop! It’s right across from another store that is also very fun, but super crowded and overwhelming. It always feels a breath of fresh air when I arrive here and the curation is just outstanding! Not to mention all of the beautiful fresh flowers ?
Stop by if you’re in the area!”
“Flamingos is an absolutely magical place! I love taking out-of-town visitors there to introduce them to the quirky, silly, fun side of Minneapolis. They are consistently blown away by both the vibes and the excellent selection of vintage wares. It’s always a joy to peruse each room, and I often do multiple laps per visit. There’s so much to see, and I’ve found some incredible pieces here. My favorite finds are a glass butterfly lamp, a handmade teapot, two vintage teal wooden chairs, and a lovely original painting. My partner has found some incredible vintage men’s clothes too, especially flannels.”
“Cool space with a few things you might not be able to find elsewhere. Some items not for sale and many without any info. Still a cool place that may have what you’re searching for. Some stained glass, lamps and molding but not much quantity. Enjoy!”
“A little something for everyone that brings back childhood memories, from clothes and nicknacks to toys and games. With antiques and vintage to holidays and Disney, over 60 vendors each uniquely showcased, in an indoor market experience.”
