“Wonderful asian market packed with goodies. Huge selection of spices, pastes, and canned goods as well as fresh food. We also found the prices to be very reasonable. Will definitely shop here again!”
“I'm pleasantly surprised that the char siu 叉燒 here is amazing, especially if you get it in the morning when they've just finished roasting the meat. I dare say it's actually better than what you'll get at most Chinese restaurants, even those in the coastal cities with a substantial Cantonese population (NYC, SF, LA, etc.).”

“Great store, massive selection of various food products and vitamin supplements. The staff are always kind. Love going to the store-one of the best shopping experiences, with a very often a price deduction on many products.”
“I just love the fresh produce! The store is small but I find everything thing I need. The people, including customers are always friendly. Customer service is top notch!”
“I go here weekly! I usually use Instacart for pickup but occasionally will browse. The workers who bring out my order are always so friendly! Great prices and never know what new thing you’ll find!”
“i love this place, truly authentic. i wouldn’t order online for anything, it’s just the best in person. my parents and i ordered food here, and i got myself a beautiful Rosary that can be worn as a necklace, as well as for my prayer time. food is BOMB too. foreigners should come here, a reminiscent time for sure—from soap to clothes. just good for being in Rochester. i’m really happy there are like 3 el gallos, but this location is probably the best.”
“Very big, but was one of the only places that sell my favorite oat milk, and at a better price than other locations in town. Could definitely spend hours looking at everything available, and the shopping cart handler is a sweetie, fist bumps and high fives all around!”
“Cleanliness is next to Aldiness!? This store is by far the best store I’ve shopped in! It’s way cleaner than other stores in Rochester, and the staff definitely work hard to keep it that way. I consistently see team members running around filling shelves and helping guests with any of their needs. Praise be to Aldi???”
“Great people. Very helpful. Arrived early and they took me right away. I was very pleased with this facility. Plenty of room to maneuver! Thank you 😊”
“Wide variety of vegan food. Similar to a Natural Grocers, Trader Joe’s, Sprouts or smaller Whole Foods. You can get delivered with Door Dash and other services.”

“my hubby comes here every other week
We enjoy the friendlyness of the fahuers and the food options
Today Sept 7, we found white basil / First time here loved it”
“Spacious, bright, attractive store. Well organized and marked. Has a limited selection of items in some area but in general very good. Superb meat counter. Best steak I have had in a long time. A little more expensive in general.”
“This review is a few months late (sorry!) but I have to mention the last experience I had here. My wife and I got married back in May, and we ordered our wedding cake and cookies for the reception here. There was some hassle and confusion with the ordering process, but we were able to submit our order for the cake and cookies. The day before the wedding I arrived to collect the order, and some cookies were missing from the order. I went in and spoke with the store manager, who sincerely apologized for the mistake and walked me back to the bakery. We talked with the bakery lead and explained the issue and they both personally helped correct the mistake. Coming from someone who works in customer service, I was exceptionally impressed with how they handled the situation and how they went above and beyond to correct the mistake and ensure that everything went smoothly for our big day! Thank you so much for the assistance and helping to avoid a potentially stressful situation! I’ll gladly shop at this Hyvee if I need any orders.”
“I had a problem with my WIC saying I could only use so many items at once on my grocery list and Jo Ann and another employee I think a manager whose name starts with a D were so kind and took their time helping me fix it to make sure everything got covered and figured out. Thank you both so much!”
“International Spice Store is truly a one-of-a-kind gem in Rochester. Khalid is always incredibly helpful, welcoming, and knowledgeable, and the store carries just about everything you could need.
Conveniently located downtown, there’s street parking and parking ramps nearby, but if you live downtown, biking to the store is especially fun and easy.
Thank you for bringing this wonderful store to our community!”
“I always come to this store for my Mexican groceries. It is clean and the people there are always helpful and friendly. Some times they share delicious recipes too!”
“Hyvee west circle can be considered the flagship of Rochester. This has all the premiere areas of a supermarket including full service bakery, deli, seafood and meat departments as well as extended international, frozen, dairy and health. The staff are friendly and willing to assist no matter what the question. Without a doubt this is is my first choice here in Rochester, especially NW. Stop by for all your needs.”
“Nice, local, Mexican grocery store and restaurant. Service was quick and the staff was friendly, speaking English and Spanish very well. Would come back for the food!”
“Lovely and plentiful hijabs and scarves. Wonderful and welcoming women to assist you. I have lost my hair due to chemotherapy, and I am so happy I discovered this market place.”
“Stopped into Asian Pacific Market and immediately realized this isn’t your average grocery run. This is a passport with aisles.
First stop: ramen heaven. 🍜
An entire wall of it. Not just “chicken or beef.” I’m talking flavors you need Google Translate and courage for. Bowls, bricks, cups, spicy levels that look like they come with a waiver.
Then somehow… boom. Random European snacks. Like the international snack aisle threw a party and never cleaned up. Chocolate bars you’ve never heard of. Cookies that look important.
Seafood section? Let’s just say it’s authentic. Whole fish. Fish I couldn’t identify even with a biology degree. A couple boxes of dried fish sitting out like they’re sunbathing. You know you’re not in a big chain store anymore. 🐟
Produce section had fruit that looked like it was grown on another planet. Spiky things. Smooth things. Things that might bite back.
It’s chaotic in the best way. Real deal, no-frills, globally stocked shelves. If you want “safe,” go somewhere else. If you want adventure and a ramen selection that could feed a small army, this is your spot.”
“Employees 5 stars product 5 stars
4 stars company policy walking the costomer to the cashier
Love the employee nothing against them”
“Just want to repeat how much I enjoy this store. I've been coming to rice and spice since its location on the corner of 4th and Broadway. I've seen it change hands several times and all that time, and I love that the new owners always carry on the tradition of the original owner. There's always a friendly face who is patient and willing to help guide you around the store and find what you need, including translating when you need it! This has been my favorite store to buy spices, rice, authentic veg, and authentic chutney's and sauces. Definitely recommend shopping here for all. You do not need to be an expert at Indian cuisine to benefit from all the wonderful ingredients here at amazing prices.”
“The best goats meat around. Fresh and well frozen. Fresh liver. All meat that comes in is freshly killed. So you don't have to worry about anything. The best meat products out there. Freshly killed and well kept.”
“Been going every month for years, they always have my scripts in stock and ready fast, always super nice, extremely accommodating and there’s never a line.”
“I’m visiting Rochester for 12 days as a patient at Mayo Clinic, and one of the nicest surprises was discovering that Rochester now has a Trader Joe’s. The last time I visited, about 20 years ago, there wasn’t one here. As my shuttle driver took me to my hotel, I spotted the familiar sign and knew exactly where I’d be doing my grocery shopping!
Trader Joe’s has been one of my favourite grocery stores ever since I first discovered it in Las Vegas. Whenever I travel to a city with a Trader Joe’s, I make a point of visiting. The staff are consistently friendly, helpful, and genuinely fun. They always make shopping feel like a pleasant experience, and I enjoy the food samples whenever they’re available.
The selection is outstanding. I especially appreciate the wide variety of organic foods at reasonable prices, along with the many unique Trader Joe’s products that you simply can’t find anywhere else. Their own-brand cereals, snacks, drinks, and pantry items are some of my favourites.
For anyone staying in Rochester for medical appointments, this store is an excellent place to stock up on healthy food. I found a wonderful selection of fresh salads, organic cottage cheese, yogurt, cheese, bread, fruits, vegetables, and an impressive frozen food section with many unique meal options. I also picked up bottled water for just 17 cents each, along with electrolyte drinks and alkaline spring water, which were perfect to have in my hotel room.
Beyond groceries, Trader Joe’s also offers flowers, greeting cards, pet food, and an excellent selection of affordable toiletries. I especially like their rich hand cream, but they also carry shampoos, conditioners, body lotions, and many other everyday essentials.
The store is open until 9:00 p.m. every day, making it convenient whether you’ve spent the day sightseeing or attending appointments at Mayo Clinic.
Whenever I’m in Rochester, this is the only grocery store I need. The excellent selection, fair prices, and wonderful staff make every visit enjoyable. If you’re visiting Mayo Clinic and have access to a refrigerator and microwave, I highly recommend stopping here to stock up for your stay.”
