We left with three pairs of shoes for our family at prices I would have paid online, but with the added benefit of knowing the shoes were fitted properly. On a side note, I also loved seeing a disability-friendly workplace as multiple staff were wheelchair-users.”

“I stopped in need of a new pair of shoes today. Found two I liked and made my choice. I was looking for just everyday shoes, however they have a large variety of tennis shoes, boots, dress shoes, youth and adult shoes.They frequently have sales and you can see items on sale at their website. They have a sale rack with discounted often one of a kind clearance too. They sell socks, Bags, laces, insoles and winter hats.They have most all the major name brands. My children have wide feet so we gravitate to those brands that have 4E.They store is clean and organized. Staff are helpful but not pushy. On more than one occasion we found a shoe we like, but it’s not in our size. They have ordered it and mailed to our home in just a couple days. This is a HUGE benefit to me. It’s hard enough to find something your kids will wear, when the size isn’t available it’s defeating. However, they locate the exact shoe and it arrives at our house in days. No running around to pick them up when the arrive at the store, no extra cost for this helpful service either. As a parent- it’s super appreciated.Isles are wide enough to get a wheel chair through. Most shoes are at a level a wheelchair, setting person can reach. Handicapped parking in front of store. Large parking lot.”

“We don’t live in Rochester anymore, but with family in the area, I always plan a stop to Schmidt Stride Rite during one of my visits. Great customer service and true understanding of kids. One of my kids did NOT like shoes and threw a fit and rip them off anytime we tried. They were so patient through the fitting and even got her to walk and ring the bell on the door before we left. Before you knew it, I couldn’t get the shoes off of her.”

“I walked in to purchase some metatarsal pads. I was helped within minutes. (I might suggest to make an appointment, I was very lucky!) i did a walking step on a devise to help figure out the pressure points on my foot. I ended up with custom orthotic inserts that will work in any of my shoes. The lady that was helping me was very kind and understanding, and helpful. She came up with a solution that is working much better than over-the -counter inserts. They have a fabulous selection of specialty footwear, and the prices are consistent with other stores. My only problem is I only got one set of the custom inserts!”

“We stopped in there today (Thurs June 30th) and really enjoyed shopping there. The woman working was very friendly and helpful. So helpful she helped me put in a online order for shoes that I didn't even know was possible. We live 9 hours away in ND and where we live all they told me was sorry we are out of those shoes and walked away. So I'm not kidding when I say she went above and beyond to help us out. The gentleman working there was very friendly as well I believe he said he's been there for 4 years I believe and shes been there longer he said. I hope this store knows they have two great employees working for them. Thank you!”
