I was immediately greeted by Sam & Jimmy and their energies assured me that my TWO WEEK OLD, straight from Gunma Japan “baby girl” would be in great hands.
What I wasn’t prepared for was the voice message from Jimmy approximately 30 hrs later that “baby girl” was ready for pick-up!
Earlier that morning I received a text stating that she would be ready in 21 days (Sam & Jimmy advised from the beginning that unless the text(s) came from one of them that it was just a standard text & to take with a grain of salt) so of course I was very skeptical.
My god-daughter (a former Air Force aviator) who had never seen the damages (deep scrapes to the passenger side - rear corner bumper) caused by an unknown source couldn’t tell where the damages were; the color match and the repair itself were seamless! Exactly as it did when I took ownership from the dealership!
Please trust this review, I am an extreme NOCD (neurotic OCD) person and I would have seen the most obscure irregularity in the quality of work, as well as picked up on any insincere energies from the staff.
Only TIME will reveal if my complete trust and satisfaction is warranted, however for now I definitely recommend Joe Hudson’s Collision Center for your auto body needs!”
“Six Six Two Tire, set the bar, in knowledge and customer service. Called told him what I wanted, made the recommendation, and I ordered them. Went Monday(today) to install, Paul looks at me and said you really don't need tires. Who does that anymore, I said go ahead and put them on. Fast service. Paul, Jerry, and crew, are stand up people. “Purchased a HEI DUI marine distributor through summit. If you like quality American products this is for you! Awesome distributor with excellent timing curve of 24 degrees. You can tell it's quality hand assembled with a hand scribed serial number. And it has the total advance marked on it at 3,000rpm... Incredible, makes me think someone actually live tested it and verified it works to proper specifications, I didn't know there was anyone left doing that!
I bought it to replace a mercruiser/Delco voyager system that was not advancing. Typical problems of "factory" distributors. Advertised at 20 degrees but after testing 4 stock modules, the best I got was 16 degrees, two didn't advance at all. I wasted a whole day fussing with this factory distributor, shunt tools, modules etc... I couldn't get enough timing at full advance without being too advanced to start when hot. This DUI distributor solved all my problems. Don't waste your time going to the auto parts store for more junky Chinese modules that don't work or aren't to spec In regard to total advance.
Do yourself a favor and save yourself a bunch of time and headache, throw your sissyfied factory distributor in the garbage and order yourself one of these. They have both styles (and others which im sure are great) but I elected to get the one of "older" hei style with springs/weights advance, as I was burned out on the factory voyager types and the shunt timing procedure. That being said I'm sure their brand of voyager est style would work great too, I just wanted the hei, big cap, mechanical advance.
I looked at others on amazon/ebay that were less than $200. They are Chinese garbage. Dont throw good money after bad. Spend a couple more dollars and get this real American, quality distributor that you know will work. Your boatload of bikini clad girls won't be happy if your ignition quits in the Atlantic, eventually the batteries will die and the radio won't work... Your ice will melt and you'll run out of beer.
Get a DUI and be done with it.
Don't forget the melonized gear if you have a roller cam or need it.”
