“Good bank,tellers are helpful and kind nothing really special about them from other banks tbh but if you are local it’s a good bank i have had an account open with them about 5 years and my dad has had an account open longer closer to a decade no problems also quick trips in the area have UMB branch ATMs so you never have trouble finding an atm that won’t charge a fee”

“Got my first Hidden Fee! Was not informed at any point about a paper statement rather than digital that cost $5 USD! Thanks for the support on my billing account! Also have failed twice to get my wisely card loaded! That’s fine I don’t mind paying another $8 at Walmart money center even though I have a bank account. “On Monday, May 5, 2025, and close to closing time, Jennie and I visited this Community American branch to conduct some business. We are members of the credit union and typically work with the North Kansas City branch on 64th street. We own an estate sale company and was in the process selling a vehicle to a potential customer. The customer was from out of state and presented us with an out of state money order, which we asked the credit union to validate the verify the authenticity of the draft.
We arrived at 4:55 PM and the credit union was closing in 5 minutes at 5:00 PM. Daniel Ash, who is a personal banker at the branch was very professional, helpful and patient in working with us to complete this transaction. Daniel was able to reach out to the out of state bank and verify the money order. Dre Slaughter-Henry was also very professional, helpful and patient as the customer who was purchasing the vehicle needed to test drive it before the transaction was completed. This process took about 30 minutes as we were leaving and re-entering the branch after closing.
Daniel and Dre stayed way past closing time on a late Monday evening to help us successfully complete this large transaction. We appreciate their time and sincerely thank them. As a former Regional VP for Citi, they did a great job and are an asset to your branch and the Community American brand.”

“This bank has had decent rates on their checking account and customer service is always friendly. My only thing about the organization as a whole it appears that they're stuck back in time with banking practices. An example, you can't even make a deposit in their ATM machine. When you make a deposit in the drive-through, you must fill out the traditional deposit slip, and you must have every box correct, or they will send it back out to you. Most banks don't even do this anymore. This is a secondary bank for me.”
