Lizzi and Rocco's Natural Pet Market
550 Grn Mdws Rd, ColumbiaI decided to take one of our pups here on a whim to get her nails trimmed. She gets anxiety, so I figured I might be waiting a while. Jeff had her in and out in 5 minutes!! They also have a great selection of treats, AND they carry her dog food - most places don't! The employee at the register was so nice and conversational. All around great atmosphere here. I definitely will be coming back!!

705 Big Bear Blvd C, ColumbiaHad a great experience using Four Paws for the first time. Super friendly and affordable, and could tell they really love their pup patrons. They cleaned our girl all up and gave her a fresh cut. She stresses out easily, but wasn’t stressed at all when we picked her up four hours later. Will definitely be taking her back.

Woof's Play & Stay
205 E Nifong Blvd Suite 130, ColumbiaMy two pups love Woof's. They twist their heads and run around if I sat they're going to daycare and whine/bark when i make the turn at the red light.
Thankfully, the staff is good with over exuberant midget dogs
I'm also a huge fan of the cameras so I can laugh at their antics and check when they're boarded

Lucky Dog Paws, LLC. Dog Boarding Service
10500 State Hwy N, ColumbiaWe absolutely love Lucky Paws Pet Boarding! From the very first visit, we felt at ease knowing our pets were in such a warm, personal environment. One of our favorite things is how small and intimate it is — it never feels overwhelming or chaotic. You can tell the team truly knows each animal and takes the time to understand their unique personalities and needs.
Our pets tend to have anxiety when they’re away from us, which always makes boarding stressful. But at Lucky Paws, they genuinely seem to thrive. They come home happy, relaxed, and well cared for — which says everything. It’s clear they get plenty of attention, affection, and thoughtful care while they’re there.
We also appreciate that they have space to play and explore, but also quiet areas to rest and decompress. It feels balanced and intentional, not just a place to “keep” pets, but a place where they’re truly looked after.
And as a bonus, the location is so convenient for us! Being close to home makes drop-offs and pick-ups easy and stress-free.
We’re incredibly grateful to have found Lucky Paws. It gives us such peace of mind knowing our pets are safe, loved, and in excellent hands every time we travel. Highly, highly recommend!

Creekside Pet Center
5820 MO-163, ColumbiaBrought my Great Dane here and when I came to pick her up staff and crew were really helpful with updating me on everything that happened during her stay. She’s usually very reserved and antisocial, and the staff made sure to get her exercise while also accommodating for it. When I checked her out, Regan was very friendly and detailed in everything, especially since I had never used Creekside for boarding before. Regan even offered to help carry stuff to my car. Extremely friendly service, and very accommodating to my dogs needs. Will def be back!

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Beet Box
602 Fay St, ColumbiaI have never had a visit here that was anything less than stellar. This is one of those places that I drag friends to when they visit town, and it's my personal favorite breakfast destination in Columbia. Quality is consistent, staff are always warm and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is just generally pleasant. I've dined in, walked in, and ordered online, and service was equally good across all options. The black garlic biscuit sandwich and the bacon egg and cheese bodega are both so substantial that I usually have half for breakfast and half for lunch, and I always leave with something from the baked goods case even if I'm not planning to when I walk in. The cardamom cake with espresso icing that sometimes appears on the menu is in the top three best things I've ever consumed. I'll catch it again one of these days...

Ozark Mountain Biscuit & Bar
1204 Hinkson Ave, ColumbiaMy husband and I stopped here on our way from St. Louis to Kansas City and were so pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere is fantastic--kind of a stylish, upscale-casual vibe--and the entire place was spotless. The food was the absolute star of the show. I had the Farmers Market Scramble with roasted vegetables and Gouda grits; the grits were phenomenally creamy and the veggies were roasted to perfection. The homemade biscuit with apple butter was dynamite! My husband loved his Sausage Biscuit Sandwich paired with perfectly crisp home fries. We also enjoyed a couple of their delicious craft cocktails. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. Highly recommend making this your go-to stop in Columbia!
