“This is a nice, clean, and friendly price chopper! We love having it so close to our house. Although since it's a small town they don't have some items I'm used to getting at a bigger Cosentinos price chopper. Also, a little more pricey than the old Cosentinos price chopper I'm used to in South KC. Missing some Mexican and Asian items to cook these types of dishes and missing some ice cream brands.”

“It's a bit pricey compared to Walmart or Apple Market on 63rd, but you do check out quickly. The cashiers are usually friendly. Ramon, he usually bags, gets carts and cleans is a sweetheart!! I love talking to him and he sometimes helps my mom and I unload our cart in our car cause we're both disabled.”

“I like the small town feel and dont mind paying extra for it. Drive to Lees Summit to save 6 bucks dummy. I like the people in this store….Scotts a hoot and tormenting Harley is pure fun.
We dont need a bigger store, you people complaining need to move away. What happened to our small town ? Id give this place 10 stars if possible. City Idiots are the problem.”
“This is our go-to grocery store. Great location. It is decently clean inside. Staff is friendly. Produce and meat are decent. We have never had a problem with any of the food we have bought here. They carry most everything you may need, except I have noticed the dairy and gluten free sections leave something to be desired. I mostly purchase the dairy free stuff. I just wish there was more selection. Many of the brands they carry are common ones, but aren't great dairy alternatives imho. And as of this year dairy free ice cream is now not sold here at ALL :(
Close parking can be a little hard to find sometimes, but that is probably bc there really are a lot of businesses in that strip.”
“This is my neighborhood GD.I find the employees very nice and friendly. There is some stuff in the aisles waiting to be stocked but they are doing best they can with probably being short staffed. They have always been helpful and I appreciate them.”
“I love to shop at Dollar General. The store is very organized and clean which is very important to me. When I cannot locate an item the staff always stop their work and show me where the item is located. Today I could not find epsom salt and the lady showed me where it was ...on a bottom shelf..then she asked me how many bags I wanted...they were heavy..and she put them in my basket...this is not unusual they are always helpful. I also like the variety of items . I enjoy shopping there.”

“We recently moved to the area, and have been looking around for a grocery store that we like. So far we have found three! I really like Hy-Vee for produce, frozen food and especially their meat department. I don't think I will buy meat anywhere else. The folks working the butcher counter are incredibly knowledgeable and very helpful.I love that. There's also a liquor store attached to this grocery store.They have a very nice deli as well.We were able to buy some Chiefs items and Royals hats in the fan store inside. That was pretty cool.I think my favorite feature about this store is that they are all employee owned. That's awesome!”

“Had something specific in mind for my son’s funeral and looked at Hyvee late in the day and clerk gave me the florist’s card and suggested I call or speak to her. When I went back the next day, the florist was making exactly what I wanted. When we got to the funeral home, I was astounded at how beautiful it was. Highly recommend Tamme Williams at Ward Road Hyvee in Lee’s Summit.”
“I like the new set up. I always only buy about 20 items or less and before, I would get stuck waiting for a very long time to check out behind people with their carts fully loaded and even worse than that people would hold spots in line for a family member that would come over 20 minutes later with a fully loaded cart and cut in front of me. but now I wait less than a few minutes in line every time I go there and just use self checkout. so I think that is great and makes stopping in just to get stuff for lunch not so painful. I often go here during my lunch hour now and can make it home with a couple weeks of goceries, have lunch, and still have time left to chill before the next meeting.”
“Love the Chinese at Hyvee and highly recommend it. However, there seems to be confusion among the workers as to how the #1/#2 works. #1 is one entree. #2 is two entrees. Does a #1 mean 1 type of entree (eg Orange Chicken) or does it mean only 1 cubby gets filled with Orange chicken? Some workers only fill one cubby if you get a #1. Some workers fill both cubbies if you get a #1 and get only 1 entree type, eg sesame chicken for both. I've been told that a #1 means only one type of entree, and logically I can see how employees get confused and think it means only 1 cubby gets filled.”

“For the people complaining that the employees won’t acknowledge you, get over it it’s not that serious. This DG is decent and I can usually find what I need. My only complaint is the self check is closed more often than not.”
