“This hotel offers small deals with my work which is why I chose to stay here. Beds were comfortable and I appreciated the large amenities in the shower to cut down on the tiny plastic bottle waste. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and the free snacks at dinnertime were also a plus. Some of the ceiling tiles in our room seemed to be sagging which wasn't super appealing, but the rest of the hotel looked to be in good shape. I also really appreciated having the ease of the parking garage as an option. Great location close to the highway to hop on and off and get to the rest of STL.”

“Beautiful hotel and staff were really friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a very safe and nice area. There is valet and self parking, both at a reasonable cost in a covered parking area. I also appreciate how the hotel is dog friendly and they also have a pet menu selection for in room dining. Only downside is they don't have a designated pet relief area with proper garbage bins.”

“Best hotel I've stayed at in this area! Friendly, welcoming service. Everything is VERY clean and quiet. Perfect place to land during travel.

Nearby activities: Great restaurant, shopping and entertainment area across the street!

Safety: Very safe. This is my #1 and includes feeling safe because the room is very clean and fresh. Safe area to walk around. Hotel grounds nice too.

Food & drinks: Happy Hour at the hotel! And plenty of mice bars and restaurants nearby.”

“If you want classic charm in a grand old facility, this is the place. The lobby and pool area are very nice. Food is good at the restaurants although not a huge selection. The Tenderloin room is a great place for excellent service and steaks. The rooms are nice and clean but the furniture and feel is a little dated. The bathrooms are OK but probably can't really be updated much due to the layout and age of the building. My kids enjoyed staying there because we had a 2 bedroom suite, the pool is nice, and they enjoyed seeing a movie at the theater. It is a great place with a lot of history, just wish it could be updated a little more and all of the areas of the hotel could be utilized, maybe would have a little more energy about the place. The people at the front desk were extremely helpful and accommodating.”

“I picked this place randomly for an overnight trip to St. Louis and I'm glad I did. The B&B is an early 1900's refurbished house with 12 rooms. The room we had was very nice albeit eccentric in decor. The bed was very comfortable and the entire establishment is bright and clean. Some of the larger rooms have their own bath. We got the smallest room so there was a separate bath on the same floor. Breakfast was excellent and served on time.
The proprietor, Henrietta is an absolute delight. She took excellent care of us start to finish. We sat down and talked we her for a time right before we departed where she told us the history of the building and showed us a scrap book with the original owner/builder and even ledgers from when it was a boarding house.
Overall a delightful stay and we will most definitely be back the next time we are in St. Louis.”

“We came here before a show at the Fox.Our bartender was incredible. I didn’t catch her name, but she was very attentive (mom ears for sure!) and sweet. The manager came over and told me about many events they hold here, which I’m excited to attend to in the future.Despite the brisk evening, checking out the outside view was amazing. A bummer the deck isn’t wrap around as you miss that sunset!!Plan on coming back for sure”

“We had an overall good stay at this Holiday Inn. The room was great, and so were the parking and other amenities. We loved the shower, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The service, however, was lacking. They didn't provide "bad" customer service; they were always "professional" despite an undeserved, yet obvious, negative and distainful attitude projected towards my husband and me. They had other LGTBQIA+ on staff, so I am unsure why we drew their ire, but it was undeniable. The only person on staff who seemed genuinely kind and welcoming to us was a young African American lady with straight black hair who worked during the day and early evenings during our stay (I so apologize for forgetting to get her name, because she deserves proper recognition -- thank you for your genuine concern when I was unable to find my class ring and for sharing in my joy when I did). I almost never leave a bad review anywhere; however, my husband and I have been loyal Holiday Inn customers for decades, and our experience here was far below Holiday Inn's standard for service and hospitality.”

“I stayed at the hotel for almost 6 months with my fur baby and it was very accommodating. staff was amazing !!!!! very friendly and outgoing. I felt safe there. They did have security patrol in the parking lot once in awhile.the check-in was simple, staff smiled and made you feel welcomed! Everybody was just really outgoing, friendly and helpful!! I would definitely recommend staying here if you’re doing long-term stay or even a short stay. Also the noise level was low.

Rooms: The Room are very accommodating definitely for travel nurses I had a full kitchenette . The room was clean housekeeping was wonderful, maintenance wonderful the whole staff made sure my room was accommodating.

Nearby activities: A lot of nearby activities, shopping mall, casinos, theaters, restaurants.”

“One of the best places we have stayed. The breakfast was great, something for everyone. Staff was friendly and helpful. The pool was clean and a blessing after a long, hot day. The game room was a bonus for families with little kids. We have no complaints at all”

“This is our second stay at Haven House, the first for us at the new facility. I'm absolutely floored by the warm greeting and tour we recieved from Tim (I think that's his name). The facility is impressive with multiple family and children's areas, hot meals served during your stay, and free snacks/drinks for guests. We were so absolutely stressed about our sons surgery and staying so far from home. But around every turn in this facility is a reminder that there is a whole staff of people to support us and make us as comfortable as possible. I couldn't be more thankful that this facility exists.”

“Decent place to stay. Cleanliness was just not up to standards. Seemed to be a lack of attention to detail, resulting in things like little hairs on the vanity, greasy fingerprints on mini fridge, and sticky stuff on the breakfast condiments. Beds were comfy. TV was very basic, no option to stream, and couldn’t find a single kids channel. Breakfast was good, I really liked the veggie frittata and potatoes, but the fresh fruit smelled weird. It was good for one night. 3.5 stars.”

“When my insurance decided to stop my benefits for in-patient rehab -- while I was still non-weight-bearing from my knee fracture -- I had to come up with a solution for 2 weeks because my home is not handicapped accessible. That's when I chose "Lisa's Extended Stay" after reading a review from someone who stayed at this location for 2 weeks following surgery. My experience was as good as that person's. Lisa and her staff were very friendly and helpful. Lisa even asked about my injury's progress and shared my joy when I won my appeal with the insurance company. Rather than go back to rehab for 6 days, I decided to stay at the hotel in the handicapped-accessible room, which was perfect for my temporary needs.I call it "Lisa's Extended Stay" because this was more than a hotel stay; it was like being a guest in Lisa's home with many bedrooms! :-DMy only suggestion is to remove the carpet from accessible rooms and replace it with the laminate flooring, as it was a little difficult moving around in a wheelchair on the carpet.”

“Great spot in the city of Clayton, Missouri couple blocks away from a park has a restaurant along with close coffee, shops, and other things on the city streets to enjoy.

Rooms: Consider that this is an older building with very unique characteristics, overall very clean and elegant.

Walkability: There’s a park nearby along with shops in the nearby radius.”

“We stayed in the Spanish colonial room. Service was spectacular! We were given a run down of everything in our room as well as local recommendations with a map, the room and bathroom were very clean as well as comfortable, great location as it’s central to everything on Main Street. We will absolutely be staying there again!”

“Upon entry the staff member was very inviting, attentive and fast. We were on our way with keys in hand in less than 5 min. The room was incredibly clean and spacious. The food was good as well. It was peaceful and comfortable for the price. I'll definitely be staying ”

“When in the room notices the television stand was moved from the wall a little. Behind it, it was EXTREMELY DUSTY. Gave the benefit of the doubt due to how heavy it was as my cousin and I tried to move it back to the wall. Must have deleted the photo because I know for sure I took one. Oh well”

“The place was good, the only issue was that we kept hearing noises like something was in the room but we didn't see anything until the next morning when we pulled back the curtains and there was a cat behind them on the window sill. We were able to find the owner whom had thought that the cat had gotten out and ran away.”

“The room I had was upgraded. The bed was not beat up and was firm. Everything looked and worked really good. I have no complaints. The water was nice and hot every time I needed it. The employees were nice whenever I came in contact with them. Keep up the great work!”

“I had a pleasant stay. It is a pet friendly hotel, which was wonderful for me as I had 2 small dogs (20 lbs total) traveling with me. Check in was smooth. The rooms were clean and included complimentary coffee in the suite. There was a guest reception/happy out each evening, when hotel guests could receive 2 complimentary drinks per night of their stay at the bar (one receives tickets for the drinks at check in). The breakfast buffet was wonderful and offered many selections. My check out was also smooth. I highly recommend”

“Honestly, I don’t remember much about my stay but I remember it being pleasant. Much better than remembering it being problematic.

Nothing standout. Solid Marriott location. I did not eat this time here so no comment to restaurant but I’m normally a fan of Marriott Burgers.”
