Although I am not a customer of Southern Bank myself, my late aunt was, and one of her three accounts was held with your institution. As the Trustee of her estate—and with only one prior experience as a Trustee many years ago—I had numerous questions regarding her accounts. These included how to wire transfer the proceeds from the sale of her home to her Southern Bank trust, the handling of savings bonds, FDIC insurance, and more.
Casie, Cassie, and Layla have been incredibly helpful throughout this process. They have responded promptly, provided clear and thorough explanations, and have even been proactive in anticipating questions I hadn’t yet thought to ask. “Always a great service oriented staff regardless of the branch! Have used PNC for non-profit, personal, mortgage, checking and money market. Rates on savings, like other banks, are low and horrible, but the staff is creative to solve problems when I've needed to move money fast. In recent years, they've instituted more and more fees, but PNC has great fee free programs for credit worthy customers. Been with them for years, National City and Allegent before PNC, different branches and even in different states.”
“We have been with VCU for a long time, actually we joined when it was it was Educatonal Employees Credit Union. Always a pleasant experience, great and helpful employees. My only criticism is they need to offer higher rates on CD options!”
