Being met with such kindness and patience (especially on a Saturday morning) was so refreshing! Yes, treated like a real person - by a bank! The head teller wanted to understand my situation thoroughly. She listened well and thereafter expressed why certain options would benefit me. Of course, superior interest rates matter to me, but in today's world their bill pay, where they pay proactively, that keeps everyone from knowing my account information - this makes me feel safe! Latest example... I deposited a 5 figure check that my past banks would have placed a ridiculous HOLD on... Not this bank. They called the other bank, verified the funds, and I had access to the full amount of my money 24hrs later. THAT'S HUGE for a small business like me.I 100% recommend this bank and I never do that.”

There have also been times where the systems are down for prolonged periods which obviously is very inconvenient. I've been doing change orders, deposits, and banking with them for 4 years now, can't really complain too much :)”

“I love Arvest! I had a million issues at my old bank, and Arvest has solved all of them. I finally get ALL. of my money in my deposits, and the staff at EVERY location (not just the Belton one) is extremely helpful and nice. I have never had a single issue here with anything. In fact, they called me once a week for about 2-3 weeks (I think) after I first opened my account to make sure I wasn’t having any problems. I highly recommend banking here!”

“I have been banking in Peculiar since the bank was in the old building on West Broadway. The bank on C Hwy. is nice and until recently banking at that location was a very pleasant experience. I used to say that walking into UMB Peculiar was like walking into the Cheers Bar where everyone knows your name. Most everyone was just great and they treated you like family. Things have started to change recently (~2019). There has been quite a bit of staff turnover and a lot of the friendly faces are gone (it is going to be crushing when Sandy and Chris retire). It will be a different bank. Recently UMB Peculiar installed a new drive-thru video system. I am sure that it makes perfect business sense to eliminate an actual human at the drive-thru, and the new bank-by-video system probably solves staffing problems (less staff needed), but it is a step away from the personal touch that I and many others always enjoyed at this bank. I suppose I will get used to the new way of doing things at UMB Peculiar but I will always miss the way it was.”
