“First off, the Pro Center is open to the public. I am not a contractor, nor did I need to setup an account with them. I walked in, told them what I needed, and someone brought it up front for me. If you’re wondering what’s different, instead of an open floor plan, the front portion of the store has a service desk, along with a selection of common fast moving items like drywall mud, paintbrushes, power/hand tools, etc. The rest of the building is sectioned off and functions like a warehouse. The biggest difference is that instead of browsing the aisles and bringing stuff to the register, you place your order online, call it in, or order at the front desk, then they bring it up front for you. This is more convenient for contractors since they don’t have to peruse the aisles themselves and can quickly get in and out with the supplies they need. I personally love the change since they have more specialty/professional grade items. In my case, I needed a bag of Sika Grout 212, which isn’t available anywhere in the area. If you’re a contractor or someone doing lots of DIY work, this is a great place to go.”
