“The UPS store at this location was clean and organized. The two employees were fast, so friendly, personable, and helped me with my mail and got something I needed to notorized and mailed for me! I didn't even know they notorized! So I didn't have to go to another place to get it notorized, then back to mail it along with all my other errands I had to do that day.”
“The price is fine and they give you a parking voucher for 3 hours. Yesterday was not so full and it must be because the season is just beginning or we went very early from 3 pm to 5pm.”
“I was in need of 30" shoe laces and had been searching high and low. I walked into Tradehome and Gregory came to the rescue! He went in the storeroom and rounded up several extra pairs of laces. Not only did he find the length I needed, he traded out the ones I had with the new ones. For no charge. And all with a great attitude and a smile! Kudos to Gregory!”

We almost always just go there for the movie theater with friends who live nearby. The AMC Independence 20 Commons - a reasonably nice theater with stadium seating, the nicest theater in this area of the metro, check out their review if interested.
They have a Best Buy and a Barnes & Noble next door if you need big chain electronics or books.
There is a coffee shop in the Barnes & Noble, it makes a decent place to kill some time if you are waiting for a movie time or to meet someone.
They used to have some good food in the strip up front, but I am not aware of anything worthwhile any longer since those closed.
There is a Kohl's and there are a few other assorted things like department store type places, but nothing that really stands out in mind to mention unless you specifically need them.”
“Really cool mall. It was pretty dead when I was there. A great selection of stores. Plenty of places to eat including some great treats. The center of the mall has the COOLEST area for kids. Looked like something out of a story book. Had some arcade games in it and a really cool "mossy" looking bridge. I can see why people would be here for hours between the stores and food and big play area for the kiddos.”

“Went "Jason's" at this location. Love their food. Wish they had a location in independence. Service is normally pretty quick. You place your order. If you are dining in, they bring it to you as they give you a number to put on the table. If you are doing takeout, you place your order and sit and wait to be called. Since items are made fresh, it's not as quick as some fast food places. However, I have not found the wait normally to be bad. Most of the time, my food has been hot and tasty. There have been a couple of occasionally, though, I have gotten the baked potatoe and it's has not been done and was a little raw. But most of the time, I haven't had an issue. Now the parking here is not the best. There are multiple places in this shopping center so parking can be challenging. You most likely will have to park and walk a short distance as there is very little parking near the restaurant.”
“Probably one of the better Hallmark stores (or gift shops) you're going to find. Not surprisingly being located near Hallmark's headquarters. They have a large selection of cards and gifts including many local favorites (e.g. KC Swagger clothing). The Staff are always friendly and helpful, asking if you have Crown Rewards offers and checking if you have a parking validation slip.”

“Wonderful place full of eating location and parking. There use to be more shops but a lot of them have closed, hopefully new owners of Plaza can bring shopping back and keep thos historic location going for another 100 years.”
