I am so surprised how good it looks now it’s so clean amazing fresh produce AND WINE?!?!? This dollar general has stepped their game up! Also shout out to the blond lady with a blue stripe in her hair that checked me out today she was so helpful and kind!!”
“Cheapest price in town for cigarettes and all other things. My brand of cigarettes cost me $8.00 a pack where I normally bought them. I went in and they suggested an off brand I could try. They taste the same and only cost me $2.37 a pack. Everyone there is nice to work with, always in a good mood.

“It was my first visit there by accident. The sale woman gave me the directions to a place I was trying to locate. She was very pleasant so I decided to look around. I found some good gluten free items at a very reasonable price. I will be going back there.”

“5/22/2026: stopped in here to grab a quick something to cook for dinner while I was waiting for the bus to come thru. They're actually keeping this location looking really good, but it is in North Kansas City so that's gotta be the reason as to why and also the reason why their employees were so nice and hella helpful. Definitely wouldn't mind making this my daily grocery store if I was in need of it”

“A large, clean will stocked Dollar Tree. The new concept is a bit confusing at times. They have plenty of cold drinks but they are all together without any prices so the tea that costs $3 is in the same place as $1.25 drinks but you don't know what each costs. Overall a good place to shop with a little of everything. The staff are nice, great selection of cleaning supplies and nice parking lot. Plus they are close to Pancho's Mexican which is a bonus!”

“A smaller Dollar general doesn't seem to have the same amount of stock as the normal ones do. I think they actually might have a little more of a food selection but their homewares and other random stuff isn't as good”

“The manager here is really kind and amazing. I just moved into the neighborhood and will be shopping here often for the foreseeable future. Also, that Kristen girl “taking them to court” is hilarious. I can tell she’s never actually sued someone in her life. Btw someone who can afford to spend “2000” a week wouldn’t be using coupons. ?”
“The manager is absolutely amazing. She has helped me out on two different times one fixing my cell phone the other one my card would not work but money was on my card and she took time Patience very very inspiring young lady. You can definitely tell that her behavior flows from her inner peace within very clean store very respectful.”
“The location is sort of obscured from Holmes. It’s on the East side Holmes surrounded by trees.
They sell the usual Dollar General fare: snacks and drinks, personal items like hair care products, toys, etc.
I’ve found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. I’m a regular, if infrequent visitor.”
“Has most everything u can say or pick up some brand names too...for only 1.00.Mops, toothpaste, ice cream, veggies, hair products and brooms. Foil. Plates, glasses. Depends on which. “I used to frequent this Dollar General nearly everyday, often times I didn't even have any money, and yet despite this the employees that work here on afternoons treated me with a hospitality that I haven't experienced at most other places. The employees are incredibly kind & patient and know exactly how to treat someone how they want to be treated, and honestly I can't thank them enough for always being able to tolerate me. ?”

“On January 28th was the first time going to this store. I have to say I'm glad I didn't go off the reviews. I don't understand how people aren't giving it 5 stars. This is going to be my new favorite place to shop. This store was very organized clean and priced fair. I had my group of individuals and my coworker had hers. So all together we were a group of 9. I bought a basket full of decorations that I plan to give as gifts next Christmas. Also one my individual bought a wallet. I have to say that was the best experience in a store in a long time with my group. The staff name was Gayla and she was so patient and kind to my individual who was counting her money and was overstimulated and stimming. Hands down the group voted and we will be coming here to shop from now on. Thank you Gayla you are a wonderful employee and thank you Gabe's for an amazing experience.”

“Shop here frequently. Never had any problems. They tend to rearrange the products more often than I’ve ever noticed other stores do. The price of everything has literally doubled for many items in recent months. If fairness, prices have risen sharply across the board.”

“It had been nearly a year since I braved this store, the last time I was there it was a nightmare of racks so you couldn't shop and one cashier. I left not wanting to return. For convenience sake I went and was pleasantly surprised and on how clean, orderly, and well stocked the store was. Still only one at the checkout but there no line and the cashier was lovely. I noticed men working on making the store the way I described.Dollar General stores have all been a mess with racks of unstocked product, and you can't get to the merchendise. I don't want t to shop them anymore for that reason.Today this Dollar General was a pleasure to shop!Thank you”
“This is my go-to Dollar General because it's super close to my house. They have what I need 99% of the time; if they don't I usually knew it was a long shot going in.They always have something on sale that I decide I need for some reason or other.Example: It's a great place to get planters. Which isn't to say they carry a lot of planters. They do not. 50% off mug? Drill a hole in it: now it's a planter. Plastic basket? Add some holes: now it's a planter! Serving tray? Now it's a repotting tray. You get the point. Their lack of planters doesn't mean it's not a great place to get planters.Also, cheap Gatorade. Summer is coming. Stay hydrated.”
