Let me tell you about my great experience.I needed a new weed eater so I walked into Schnars. I was immediately greeted by a gentleman who I believe is named Jacob. Not in an aggressive sales way, but more of a helpful greeting.I set my sight on what looked like a pretty good deal, but was kindly directed to an even better deal which would save me money and get me a blower, weed eater, and 2 batteries for a great price, which turned out to be an obvious choice. They threw in a free Echo hat just because they are nice . Honestly, I needed another hat, so I was happy.Turns out I forgot the second battery that came with the set. A few hours later I was SHOCKED to see that the same gentleman showed up to my door step just to personally deliver the battery to me. Who even gives such great customer service anymore?Anyway, I felt compelled to leave this review because Iβve now been there like 10 times and have had a great experience each time.β
βExcellent customer service, take your business here instead of the other locations for hardware. Not knocking them, just saying the staff here were super helpful in comparison to what Iβm used to. The staff deserves recognition for that, Iβve experienced a lot of hardware store staffβ¦ this was what I pray for when Iβm on the road for work. Thanks again guys.β

I went in yesterday for screws to help fix my broken chair and after explaining my situation I was assisted by Austin who took the time to help me find the screws needed to fix my chair. He was very professional and very helpful. My shopping experience here was successful and easy.β

βGreat prices and some quality tools. My Hercules drill is great, battery life is great! You get a 5 year warranty! Bauer tools and drills are pretty good, they donβt stand behind their product as much.β

βJust Around The Corner Wood Floors made the experience so much easier. Wayne Brooks did an excellent job consulting and educating me about the process and dividing the work into two different sections so it would be the least disruptive in my life. Mark, David, Jake, Brian, Dave, Ryan, Todd, and Jacob all worked on the floors for many days. Some of the wood panels had to be replaced. The workers went above and beyond , even putting out food and water for my pets because they knew I wouldnβt be there in the early morning. I would definitely hire them for work in the future!β

βHey, I wanted to give a big shout out to Jake. This guy goes above and beyond for us. Heβs helped us out on many projects renting out equipment had to come and fix it when itβs broke on his own time. We will continue to buy things and rent things from KK, what a great person to have on their sales teamβ
βI took a class this morning, and ADRIAN was my teacher. I called yesterday (Friday) being very upset about my 2 - 3 month bad experience with a different woodworking supply store regarding a class that I really needed to take before taking an online course (the one of my dreams - so excited) in November. When I called I spoke with TIM, who could not have been more so down-to-earth, kind, tuned-in, and helpful. He asked, "Can you come in tomorrow morning?" The class was the best class, AND teacher who taught me esoteric details that , I swear, opened a blocked pathway in my brain. I've been trying to break through it for a couple of decades! He left nothing out. Have you ever taken a class or read a how-to-book where you don't find out until later that they intentionally left out key points or steps that would make you or break you. Status or job security has to be the reason. Walking to my car after the class I was thinking, "This is the first day of the rest of my life." That sounds cornball - it even surprised me! I was, and am, over-the-moon with this experience. Also(!), the store itself is like a child's dream candy store to a woodworking enthusiast or professional. And the STAFF is top-notch. They are good guys, and that is saying a lot these days.β

Professional crew behind the desk, had everything I needed in stock and David T the delivery crew helped me carry some extremely heavy 2x12x20' off the alley into the backyard without question. I was a long time customer of Forest Park Lumber and feel I have have found it's long lost twin. Keep buying from local business' continues to be my goal. Thanks for the great service.β
βStaff is helpful and patient with my questions about various products. I haven't found anywhere in or around St. Louis that has 1/4 of the selection and I know the only hope you may have to beat the prices is rolling the dice online.β
βEverybody's always helpful. Prices seem to be a little more competitive than in the past. Its local. Stores always clean. Usually have what I'm looking for. I was surprised when I went to 1 location a week before Memorial Day and they didn't have any American Flags but went to another location and they had several sizes and varieties. Also the American Flags I bought were...MADE IN THE U.S.A! That's a huge selling point for me.β

βVery personal feel. Old school personal touch coupled with the latest product and plants. Note that this is a smaller Ace than most but the gardening area outside offers lots of choices. And free fresh made popcorn ?. Been going here for 30 years. I do miss the shop cat that used to live in this Ace.β

βI was at the store approximately 30 minutes before closing and store staff, including the cashier, Riley S., was beginning to clean the store. As soon as I approached the check-out station, Riley S. immediately stopped cleaning the floor and quickly walked over to process my purchase. I was greeted warmly and was assisted efficiently. She did a great job.β
βThe staff was super friendly, and even helped me load the soil onto the flat bed cart with me. After I was done checking out, there was a younger lady in the garden area who was told to go on break, and offered to help load the soil in the truck with me, since the guys that usually do it weren't around. I didn't want her to have to go to work while on her break, but she insisted. That kind of work is hard to come by.
Then the guy that usually does it, finally comes out of hiding, and the girl asks him to help. He says yes and even pushes the heavy cart for me to where I parked and loaded it into the truck with me.
I was very impressed with how everyone was working together. That is what I call true teamwork.
I will definitely be coming back to this location.β
