“Overall a great experience, so I gave it 5 stars. Nice robes, towels, comfy beds, friendly staff. As a fellow business owner I would suggest three things. 1 Add sliding barndoors to the rooms instead of the curtain between the bedroom and bathroom. 2. Mark the light switches 3. Change the highend steakhouse to barfood and breakfast to match the casino and music venue. Food was amazing, but expensive.”

“A hidden gem at Tahoe! Feels like old-style Tahoe, before the massive overdevelopment, yet with all of the comforts of home. The managers are wonderful people, and so accommodating. We stayed for 2 nights with our two dogs in cabin 17. So close to Tahoe City, yet in the woods right next to a state park. The cabin was very neat and clean, with a very comfortable bed. The small but complete kitchen was perfect for all of our meal preparation. Those who need to stay connected will love the high-speed wifi, as well as the big-screen television in the cabin. It got down to the mid-teens at night, yet we were all very cozy indoors. We took the dogs for a number of hikes in the adjacent state park, as well as to the beach. We can't wait to come back with the dogs to go snowshoeing during the winter. This is our new go-to place for all of the seasons at the lake. Thanks for a wonderful time!”

“I would highly recommend it. They were very accommodating for us. The fire was great with smores kits for free. The bear did try to get in our vehicle at night, so lock your door.”

“Good location, comfy beds, and room was warmed up prior to our arrival which is a huge plus. The bathroom is fancy and is clean, also comes with a sofa. Overall a pretty luxurious stay for this price range.Excellent service as the maid even went out of her way to contact us about a shirt I left in the shower curtain and we went right back to pick it up.”

“We own here so we are a little biased. The units are fabulous for families who do not want to pay $$$ to rent multiple rooms at the hotel next door. Full kitchens were recently updated and each unit has a king master bedroom and a second bedroom with two queens. Plus two full baths and a pull-out couch bed in the living room. The resort is well maintained - parking lot is always promptly cleared of snow. There are several restaurants within walking distance and dozens more are a short drive into Incline. Walk to the bike path and the beach. If you decide to buy a unit you can save 50-80% by purchasing resale from an existing owner. Or you can simply rent by the day via hyatt website or by the week on redweek,”

“Right on the beach with a beautiful view. We stayed at a No medium size room. Floor to ceiling, windows to admire breathing views of Lake Tahoe.Next time we will be ready and prepare to enjoy the swimming pool and the hot tub. The hot tub looks like a fun place to be. It's right above the lake. Service was great. They were very flexible. It was really busy weekend and we made last minute reservations. The staff was helpful and make sure that our stay was pleasant. It would be nice if they offer bowl water in the room as well as some chairs. We really enjoyed our stay. We sat outside of the room and enjoyed the beautiful view. We will be back in the summertime to make the best out of this experience.”

“My sons and I stayed at the FLL over the New Year week if 2024; it was our home base, while we skied and snowboarded at the various Tahoe ski resort. We were very happy with this Lodge. I loved walking down the private pier at sunrise. The room was really clean and well kept, and Brian, the property manager, couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating if he tried. He, and Gabby, his assistant (??) were very responsive the couple of times we needed them. I'm already looking forward to staying here over the summer, when they do evening bbq's and the pool is warmed up and ready for swimmers! This was a lovely memory-making family trip.”

“Fantastic motel for the price! And biggest bonus is they're very dog friendly and don't have a weight limit. The room was small but if you travel like I do and just need a place to sleep then it's more than adequate!”

“My wife and I stayed at Rustic Cottages last year and loved it, so we wanted to try their other location this year. We were not disappointed! The cabin we stayed in this year, Cottonwood, was roomier than our previous one, and all of the amenities are the same as Rustic Cottages! They have movies to borrow, board games and yard games for fun, and souvenir coffee mugs. The breakfast is among the best continental breakfasts I have experienced. The location is serene, yet has easy access to all of North Lake Tahoe's attractions and shops. We didn't get a chance to try the pool, but it looked nice and clean. It was definitely popular with other guests. With the friendly staff, quiet and cozy rooms, and wonderful location, we will definitely be back again!”

“We return here for a week most years. The staff is welcoming and responsive, the 1- and 2-bedroom units are homey & well equipped; kitchen and bath amenities are sufficient. Very few units are alike. Best of all, the property fronts on the lake with less than 50 steps to a soft sand beach and a long pier with an elevated seating area. It has been a great experience every month of the year.”

“It was a great stay! Shoutout to Emily and Jay from the front desk and Chris from Valet. They went above and beyond to make me and my family have a great stay. They were so friendly and really made us feel at home.”

“Hidden gem with potential to be great. It's just not quite there. Rooms have been updated and remodeled. They are nice. Cozy. The grounds are a little neglected in my opinion. The view is amazing. Sunrises and sunsets look like paintings. Didn't have a lot of interaction with the staff. Those I did were friendly.Rooms: The rooms are nice. Not 5 star but they've been updated. Stayed in a 2 bedroom/2 bath unit. Plenty of room but hard to maintain temperatures above 70.Nearby activities: Some nice restaurants and parks close by. Casinos look to be struggling and some are shut down and boarded up. Skiing is not far and there is a golf course nearby as well.Safety: Overall, the resort felt safe. The doors use a standard key which can be a little concerning if someone were to make copies. Without the key cards, resort staff can't monitor who has access to the rooms. But aside from that, there were no concerns.Walkability: There isn't much within a reasonable walking distance.Food & drinks: The resort offers popcorn and coffee. Not sure on other options. There is no restaurant. The rooms have small kitchens in them and Safeway is a 5 min drive away.”

“Stayed back on 9/30. First off, the hotel sent a text message early in the day to advise of the lobby hours & check in times. Still arrived early & saw the lobby was still closed but we witnessed a Karen in the wild which was entertaining at best She was banging on the lobby door despite the signage & the door being locked. When that didn't work she started banging on a button next to the door. When that didn't work she stomped back to her car. Still in our car we watched as she stalked the front lobby until staff showed up. The poor lady was immediately swarmed by the Karen. Not even 2 minutes later she was banging on the lobby door again. I wouldn't have opened up either. Another lady came out to talk to the Karen. Not long later the Karen stomped off to her car again & sped away.We checked in around 6. Easy check in. Nice front desk lady despite the Karen encounter. Yes, the place is run down & could use some upgrades but you can't beat the location.”
