“Safety: The building entrances are locked at 6pm and we have to bring our room’s key to open.

Food and drinks: Local shops nearby are good. Highly recommend Happy Tier Bakery, about 5mins drive.

Noteworthy details: In front of the building, they have room key-accessible lockers, and it has enough space to store your ski or snowboarding equipment.”

“Another fantastic holiday weekend in Lake Tahoe for 11ppl thanks to award travel! It was our first time in Lake Tahoe and we really enjoyed it! It was a blended family vacation and everyone had a fabulous time.

I booked 4 rooms, 3 nights each at 23,000 points per night. I booked Legacy GOH for the 3 extra rooms under the other family members. I didn’t push for an upgrade since it’s a busy holiday weekend and they already notified us that it would not be possible for a suite bc they are sold out for the wknd. I only requested to be close-by to one another, which we were. We were in connecting rooms (916, 917, 918 and 919), two of them were facing the pool, which I believe is a small upgrade. I also mentioned that we were celebrating a birthday, and hotel did include a birthday card and treat in their room. That was a nice gesture. Daily $50 valet parking was comped, we had 2 cars total. Daily breakfast buffet or a la carte was also comped, we had 11 ppl total and the bill was $400+ every morning. We also received vouchers for free s’mores and goodies at their grab n go. Cash price was $9424.20, definitely valued more bc of all the comps.

There are a lot of free activities at the resort, book your spots two weeks in advance. The website will give you all the information. Although the rooms were a little dated, I think it was a solid family resort. They also used wristbands instead of room keys, which I find very convenient. However, I wish it was removable at the end of the day so I didn’t have to sleep with a wet wrist band after showering. The entire hotel staff were all very friendly, with the exception of one front desk person named Yvonne. On two separate occasions, she was cold and not friendly at all. I think she’s a manager too, that’s unfortunate. Despite those encounters, I would definitely return again just because the overall experience was very good. Also a super dog friendly resort, which we loved.”

“Nice clean place. Room was large and had a bathroom with tub. Good size hot tub. Love that you do not have to check in or out at the office and no need for a key or card to enter the room. Lodge phone employees were nice and helpful”

“Celebrated a weekend away for my anniversary with my partner - it was wonderful! Highly recommend the honeymoon suite for: the privacy of having the entire cabin to yourselves, the jet tub, quaint & perfect size for 2, renovated & warm furniture/flooring, the cozy fireplace, and spacious fridge. Designated parking space was nice. Very quiet area right across from the beach! My only “complaint” is that the toaster was janky and the hot water ran out once (it re-filled/came back about an hour later so it wasn’t that big of a deal). I will happily return another time and I’ve already recommended this place to family.”

“Awesome place. There are two areas. One on the lake side of the road, and one on the forest side of the road. The forest side is quiet and has a pool. It is next to a cross walk to go to the beach. So it takes 1 or 2 minutes to walk to the lake. The lake side has some cabins, but they are not all beach front. Nice quiet place with a private beach and a pier to walk out on. Love it!”

“Not fancy. Not overpriced. Just right. The Crown Hotel is our go-to crash spot in Kings Beach. My wife and I stay here for quick Tahoe getaways, and my countertop crew uses it when we’ve got multi-day jobs nearby. They’ve got a surprising variety of room types, plenty with lake views, and all of them are clean and comfortable. You can walk to a bunch of restaurants (including at least one place that sells kombucha in a mason jar). And the staff? Devora deserves her own five stars. She’s part front desk, part local guide, part wizard. If you want a solid, no-hassle place to stay without blowing your ski pass budget, this is it.”

“We had the BEST day at the Ritz-Carlton Lake Club. This is a premium experience but it was worth every penny we spent. The staff were superb. They were all so friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I loved that everything but alcohol was included. The grilled foods were very good and I appreciate that the club supplied towels and high quality sunscreen. It was a peaceful and relaxing day overall. We enjoyed using the kayak and the paddle boards. We booked this trip for our honeymoon and it did not disappoint. I hope we will get to go back again someday!”

“Great location. Extremely friendly staff and full of amenities. Nothing can beat free popcorn ?

Kayak rentals, board games, kids activities club, volleyball etc available within the resort.

First impression is great. We will definitely look out for this place for future visits.”

“Room itself was very spacious and clean, the only thing is that our fireplace gave a clear view from the room to the bathroom, and when traveling with our kids, it was difficult to shower without being seen. But we made it work!
Great location near Kings Beach
Check in is in the casino part of the business but then you walk out to the hotel

I would definitely go back again!”

“It’s pretty quiet at night, which really improves my sleep quality. The kitchen is well-equipped with both stainless steel and plastic utensils. It would be even better if they included some wooden tools. We enjoy cooking here. The living room has a high ceiling, which makes the space feel open and adds a cozy vibe.

The only thing that could be improved is the shower/bathtub — it has grip tape that’s hard to clean and a bit dirty.

The location of the hotel is great — it’s right by the beach and not far from Palisades. We’ll definitely come back here :)”

“My wife and I stayed at Rustic Cottages last year and loved it, so we wanted to try their other location this year. We were not disappointed! The cabin we stayed in this year, Cottonwood, was roomier than our previous one, and all of the amenities are the same as Rustic Cottages! They have movies to borrow, board games and yard games for fun, and souvenir coffee mugs. The breakfast is among the best continental breakfasts I have experienced. The location is serene, yet has easy access to all of North Lake Tahoe's attractions and shops. We didn't get a chance to try the pool, but it looked nice and clean. It was definitely popular with other guests. With the friendly staff, quiet and cozy rooms, and wonderful location, we will definitely be back again!”

“This is a lovely little hotel and an amazing price considering the location. It was clean and comfortable and had all the basics needed. While it’s not fancy, everything (including the bed and bathroom) was clean.
Our room had an outdoor sitting area and there was a nice swimming pool.
The manager, Neil, was OUTSTANDING and very, very helpful. He went out of his way to assist us with everything we requested and also helped us arrange a FREE RIDE to the event we were attending.
If you are a princess, high maintenance type, and are expecting a Ritz-Carlton type of stay then you should book at a hotel down the road for $800.
Otherwise, for $169 this place was perfect.
We were satisfied and would definitely stay again.
Thank you, Neil!”
