“Whispering Vine is a nice surprise tucked in South Creek Center, which is one of the nicer retail centers in Reno. The place is bigger than it looks from the outside and has a comfortable, relaxed feel.

The first thing I noticed was the huge wine selection. Whether you are looking for a bottle to take home or just want a glass while you hang out, there are a lot of choices. They also offer tasting flights that are reasonably priced and a good way to try a few different wines.

What makes this place stand out is that it is not just for wine drinkers. The bar has a large selection of liquor, cocktails, and beer too. There's even a TV at the bar if you want to keep an eye on a game.

The decor is nice without feeling fancy or stuffy. There is plenty of seating inside along with a patio outside. One thing to know is they do not serve food at this location (they have two locations), but apparently you can bring in takeout from somewhere else.

The crowd seems to skew on the older side (40's and up) but it did not feel like they were catering to any particular age group. Overall, Whispering Vine feels more like a neighborhood hangout than a typical wine bar. Good wine, lots of drink options, plenty of space, and a relaxed atmosphere.”

“Cute, cozy, and full of charm — this is the place to go! The moment you walk through the door, Karen greets you like you’ve just arrived at her home warm, welcoming, and instantly ready to pour you a glass (or shake you a martini!). The whole space feels like a hidden gem — cozy bistro tables tucked around the room, a full bar glowing with ambiance, and shelves lined with the most unique trinkets you’ve ever seen from adorable gnomes and ornaments to salsas, wines, and all the perfect goodies to create the cutest gift bag.
I came in expecting a wine tasting, but was pleasantly surprised to find a full bar with an impressive cocktail menu — including some seriously delicious martinis. Pair that with their small plates menu (the meatballs and potstickers are must-tries!) and you’ve got yourself the perfect spot for a relaxed evening out.
Whether you’re catching up with friends, enjoying live music (I loved Sherri Ezell’s set on Thursday!), or just looking for your new go-to wine spot, this cozy bar in the Damonte Parkway shopping center is the South Reno addition we’ve all been waiting for. Fun, friendly, and full of personality — it’s the kind of place that makes you want to stay awhile! 🍷✨”

“Great neighborhood convenience store/gas station. The family who runs it is honest and friendly. They've got most of the basics when you suddenly realize you ran out and quickly "need" more: milk, eggs, bacon, beer, wine, ice cream, snacks, etc. To all the reviewers who whine about them charging above average prices: yes, you are right, things are a bit more expensive here than at the Walmart where you normally shop. You are paying a premium for the convenience of having the item in your neighborhood, a 2 minute walk (or 30 second drive) from your living room. If you want to save a dollar, feel free to drive down Kietzke in rush hour traffic, walk thru thru the huge parking lot of your favorite grocery store, and wait in line at a cash register behind some people with carts full of groceries. Or, if you want it quick and easy in your own 'hood, prepare to pay a buck or two more, go here and get it NOW.”

“I'm writing this review on a gas station/mini mart for ONE reason.... For the Mexican food, obviously. Sounds weird, but check it out... This unassuming gas station has a small take out only Mexican restaurant inside. While they have a small menu, it covers the gamut of what you'd expect. Tacos, burritos and the like. But as it was morning, and I hadn't yet woken all the way up, I needed breakfast burrito and some spicy salsa. And the one I got was amazing! Just so happens they have a hot stand with some recently made selections, which normally I'm sketch on, but this place? They were so enthusiastic about the food they sell, I had to give the chorizo burrito in the hot case a try. The guy behind the counter was all smiles as he talked about how fresh it was, and gave me a couple spicy salsas. Took it home, unwrapped, and saw this thing was tightly wound and packed, not falling apart. Score! It was double wrapped in both foil and paper, so it held its moisture and heat in. Score! I take a bite - delicious! Chorizo, eggs, taters, peppers, great stuff. The salsa was really good too. Alternating between the green and red kept it interesting, and by the end of it I was completely convinced this place doesn't make "gas station" food. They just make good food, period. If I ordered this at a "restaurant" and they put this burrito in front of me, I'd be happy, straight up no lie. And for $7, not a bad deal either, for what you get. Can't wait to go back and see what else they can knock out of the park!”

“Great customer service. The staff here will gladly help you find what you need among such a large selection. If they can't find it, they will even look their distributors and special order for you if needed.”

“So here is a very clean and well organized store, the prices are higher than a discounted food center like Walmart. People are very polite and that's the honest take, feel free to compare prices and prove me wrong.”

“Very clean store if the employees are pleasant. I've got nothing bad to say about this store.
As long as they keep it the way they are, unless I'm not seeing something.
But I'm changing everything I do from shopping at Walmart. That don't care to go into Smith. And Raleys”

“I have been comming to this Botanica sense 2005 as a 11 year old. It is my favorite shop in Reno and where I buy all the supplies for my practice. The owner and her family are very nice people and I always get the help and am greeted with a smile. even though there is a language barrier and my Spanish is poor she always helps to accommodate me”

“I have been here a few times, I usually stop by when I am in the area where I am in need of something. The store is compact, but it definitely has almost everything you need. From snacks to essentials, household items, beverages, alcoholic items, cigarettes, phone charges and much more. This convience store is like the best around in the area and I am happy they are still operating. The staffs here very welcoming, well trained, understanding and helpful where I had never encountered and issues during any of my visits. They open late and it is definitely a plus having this shop in the Reno area. I usually end up with a bag full of things since I find things that I did not expect them to carry. I highly recommend this place to anyone in need of a quick bite or refresher, if you just so happen to be in the area, or looking for a place that is honest with their customers. I definitely will be back to shop again.”

“Vino 100 is one of my favorite spots. They have so many affordable wines and it's a semi-hidden gem. I say that because it's not in a super obvious location or one you'd think to go into but as soon as you go in - it's popping! They have a rotating list of wine by the glass but you can also purchase bottles to drink or to go. They boast a list of fun martinis though I'll admit I always stick to wine. I love their charcuterie board - it's incredibly random and seems to always change but I like the pure variety you get on the plate. It's the perfect amount of snack food. They do have a wine club you can join as well as some other Knick knack stuff to check out for gifts and such. Overall a great experience”
