“I absolutely LOVE grabbing a sandwich here any time my wife and I pay a visit to the Genoa Bar. The Jalapeno Popper Grilled Cheese Panini is just awesome with a cold one and I always get it with their super tasty potato salad. If you're just passing through town, it really is a great place to grab all kinds of lunches and of course, there are tons of cool gifts and fun nicknacks that you can buy as well. I should note, it's been a few months since I've last stopped in, the summer of 2024 to be exact and I sure hope they open again as I do see it being listed as 'closed' right now. Heck, I may have to drive by just to make sure.
Parking: There is limited parking immediately out front but there is plenty along the streets and for free.”

“Amazing prices and really hard working and kind staff. I’ve been shopping here weekly for 4 years and never had a negative experience. I love finding new things to try as the inventory changes everyday. Since the prices are low I can buy things that I normally would not. There are lots of healthy options and fruit that is half the price as the other local grocery stores.
I was there a few weeks ago and I saw a manager help a customer out with her buying her groceries because her credit card was not working. A store that is truly here for the community.”
“Not the greatest selection, it’s a smaller store than usual and the service gene is lacking in some of the employees, not unusual characteristics for a vacation town grocery store. But there are some great employees there, they work hard and are very helpful. Deb is the latest to go the extra mile in being friendly and helpful on my last visit.”

“This is definitely the best pharmacy in Tahoe. They are dependable, quick and friendly. Robin is especially helpful. I went through a rare disorder last year and felt helpless. Robin helped get me what I needed, followed up with me and asked how I was doing at a time where doctors did not know what to do and were irresponsive as a result.”

“This is a really nice safeway at stateline lake Tahoe. It's especially nice because the selection is quite good, diverse and they even have vegan and healthy foods as well. There aren't a lot of big stores in the South lake Tahoe area.”

“After dinner, I dropped in with my partner for some groceries for breakfast the next morning. Got eggs, bread, orange juice, and champagne for a great price. We entered our rewards number which took off almost $12. The store was surprisingly busy for a Monday night at 8 o'clock however, there were several check stands open with short lines. Our cashier was friendly and chatted with us while speedily checking our items. The store was clean and the shelves were neat and stocked.”

“Pleasantly surprised at the extensive stock of beer! And the prices were really reasonable! They have everything from snow shovels to clothing. But if you drive to Tahoe and up Kingsbury Grade without carrying your own chains, you should expect those to be expensive in a mountain convenience store selling them for YOUR lack of planning!”
