“We have eaten there for 15 years. It is a highlight of our annual trip to NH. It is lovely, good food, great service. I could go on. It has an intimate feelingina gorgeous building. I hope a new owner continues the inn and restaurant into the future and appreciates how special the place is. We wish the current owners well in their future endeavors.”

“They have gluten free fish & chips on the menu which is the reason we went on July 3, 2025. Fantastic food, everyone was happy with what they ordered. Service was friendly and great. The place is very comfortable and overlooks the river out back - beautiful and laid back.”

“We stayed at The Horse and Hound Inn for our wedding weekend in early September, and it easily exceeded all of our expectations. We live in PA and couldn't make it to NH before our wedding day, so we booked the inn without ever having seen it, which made me super nervous since us and all of our guests would be staying there. However, we fell in love with the inn as soon as we arrived to check in. The Horse and Hound is so cozy and rustic and just has so much charm to it. There is plenty of space inside and out, so both of our families had room to relax and enjoy themselves all weekend without feeling crowded. I wish we could have spent even longer there! We didn’t have our ceremony here (we got married on top of nearby Cannon) but we did take pictures in the backyard after and they turned out great. The full commercial kitchen and the wonderful bar were highlights as well—we made great use of both throughout the weekend. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how unique and inviting the space was, and months later, we’re all still talking about it. The Horse and Hound truly made our wedding weekend unforgettable, and will always hold a special place in our hearts! ❤️”

“We were looking for a nice cross-country skiing spot late in the day. We called the Franconia Inn and were warmly welcomed. The ski tracks take you through a beautiful forest with a pond, it’s simply amazing. Took us about an hour, and we enjoyed a beautiful sunset!
Thank you again :)”

“Absolutely beautiful place! The room was cute and quiet, the property itself is gorgeous and each room has chairs to lounge in outside. Michelle was the most wonderful host, she gave me recommendations for restaurants and hiking, and a made to order breakfast each morning! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a quiet getaway, I for one will be back again!”

“Nice staff, gorgeous views, affordable compared to other dog friendly places in the area, nice to walk to the brewery, 1 star off because the mattresses were very worn in/sloped. Lots of play space and activities for dogs and kids”

“Spent two nights/three days here in March, in a king room. We enjoyed the pool table downstairs in the lobby, the jacuzzi in our room, the comfortable bed, and the gorgeous mountain views from our room and balcony. The vibe was quiet and calm - perfect for a little vacation away from the hustle and bustle of life. Our room was clean and well furnished. We only needed to use the room service once, they were polite and efficient. The cost of our king room was fair for what we received. We look forward to returning next year!”

“Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Clean. Average breakfast. The yogurt machine was a nice surprise. No hand towels or washcloths in the room but a trip to the front desk fixed that. Clean and quiet. Mountain view room. Quite a ways to nearest restaurant.”
