He was pleasant, knowledgeable, put us at ease (as we initially thought the place was a scam) and took his time to hear what my husband and I needed for support and comfort in our mattress. John did not rush us, showed us multiple options and didn’t make us feel as though we had to buy. Although we did. He spoke when needed, didn’t have awkward silence and assured us of each step through. “After another company installed my fireplace, I discovered multiple installation issues, including the horizontal vent pipe not being connected to the vent cap. I decided I wanted a different company to fix the vent pipe and check the rest of the installation. Mike and Dylon fixed the vent pipe and thoroughly inspected the entire installation, catching another issue. Mike addressed all of the concerns I had and even called the fireplace manufacturer regarding an issue where the manual was ambiguous.”

We were told by Fallon and Yankee Fireplace that we would need to replace our gas fireplace for thousands of dollars. Jackson fixed our fireplace and got it up and running. “About ten years ago I purchased a custom slip-covered couch at their store. I love my couch, but when we moved three years ago the slipcover did not match my new home. Cassie at Coastal Furniture found me a new swatch of fabric in the perfect color and ordered me a new slipcover from the manufacturer. It arrived within the designated time and my couch looks fantastic in my new home. Now, three years later (and ten since I originally purchased the couch) the two bottom cushions are feeling a bit flat (no wonder after ten years of daily use). I called Cassie and she quickly ordered two new couch cushions for me from the original manufacturer. The customer service I have received has been excellent. I highly recommend Coastal furniture, both for the quality furniture and interesting decor items for your home.”

“My husband and I woke up today with the decision that we are going to buy a new Weber grill and be prepared for next summer early!He had already gone to Ace hardware where although they were extremely nice, they unfortunately don’t take away your old grill (buzz kill).He had been to Lowe’s and Home Depot and the experience was pleasant but again they couldn’t accommodate the delivery set up and removal of the old grill.I suggested we search in the Rye and Hampton area for another place that carries Weber grills, and he was not too keen on it saying we will not find one we will just have to order it at Home Depot and figure out how to magically make the other one go away!For the heck of it I called the pool and barbecue grill store in Hampton called Bemister's.The gentleman that answered the phone was extremely knowledgeable and said not only did they have the best prices on Weber grills but that the quality was different than the ones that they sell in the box stores which really surprised us.He went on to say that they have their own service that drops them off and sets them up but also will take away our old grill at a very reasonable price.We went down there to find an extremely gracious and knowledgeable salesperson who happens to be fourth generation in the company.By the time we left, not only were we thrilled that we made that call, but we are getting it delivered tomorrow which is a Sunday!!!I guess that’s what the old fashion “mom-and-pop” businesses do!What a change in experiences from other places and refreshing to see the classic old fashion “we care about the client” attitude still exists.They are very dog friendly, hands-on, and accommodating.6 stars!”

“My infirmed mother-in-law's powered recliner/ lift chair broke down the evening before Thanksgiving. We discovered that we had bought it years before from Currier's. When I called to seek a replacement on Black Friday to an obviously busy store. We were told that the same chair model was not readily available. But Valerie cheerfully offered to research similar available chairs. She emailed specifications to us so we could make an informed decision. When we called back to make the purchase Susanne assisted us. She went out of her way to contact the Third party delivery service and arranged a Sunday delivery.
We're extremely grateful for the service both of these ladies provided on a very busy day for them.”
