Except the furniture dept. man referenced below, he's a 0.Staff don't ask to help and almost everything except the furniture, you can grab and go to the register. But if you're looking for something specific, the staff is welcoming and usually found at the register.Noah at the Echelon NJ store is outstanding. He was behind the counter and came out to help me as needed. He kindly wrapped my fragile pieces in paper and nearly set them in the bag.Cleaning staff (black woman) is great and social enough to make you feel seen.DEPARTMENT:Good PICTURE frame options, not great bc of higher prices.CURTAINS- Lots of vast arrays of options, from lace to sheer to patterned. Awesome selection and prices for curtains and blinds.CONS:Furniture Dept. needs much better help. The man( pictured, seated at a desk surrounded by furniture) who didn't acknowledge me or my son on 2 different occasions. Twice I looked around at the many options of sectionals and was never offered a hello or a, can I help you. Some of the ottoman's and other furniture didn't have prices, and I just left.Don't leave your flyer at home because the ones they had were out-dated & you can miss out on coupons.”

“staff is very friendly, large selection, only thing i would suggest is get more people. there’s usually only 1 maybe 2 employees there and i stop there everyday bc i work next door. many times the self checkout doesn’t accept cash and you have to wait in line for the register but there’s only one register and the employee is left to ring people up and help self checkout people.”

It is true that stores do not have as many staff as in the past BUT the people they have really go out of their way to help.I did not see something I wanted to buy and, on my way out, was asked if I needed help? I told Denise my problem. She used the radio to ask someone on the receiving dock if it had just been received. It had! Candy brought it up form the back of the store to the check out where I was standing. They were really happy to help me.”

Yes because of their great Inventory, but the customer service that I received at this location was amazing ..To make a long story short,my fiancé and I relocated to area less than a week ago .we stopped in big lots intentionally for the first time browsing for a kitchen set ,we were blown away with merchandise . From grocery to furniture there was nothing on or list which is called “starting from scratch” that not only is cheaper but furniture and seasonal as well. But what hit the home run for me a professional retailer mgr myself, was the team on Saturday Black Friday weekend. I wish all of my teams worked as hard as this crew was at 8:00 pm… after busy day.. they stopped greeted us and were extremely attentive and helpful.They went above and beyond even calling 2 other stores to find us the living room set at another store and educated us on location and suggestions on delivery options. Because we needed just about everything they helped with new appliances dishwear ect… I want to give a hats off and thank you for helping us find our new one stop shop and we will be back to continue to fill our new home . “This is probably the nicest homegoods I have been to in NJ. Huge selection of seasonal items. They also had a whole display for Diwali which I had never seen before. The store was very tidy and it was easy to navigate. The check out line had many registers open and moved quickly. I will be back!”
