“Historic, charming, and quaint hotel in the center of Bernardsville, close to a number of restaurants and shops. The hotel restaurant, the Red Horse, was quite good. Cute bar area, too. I enjoyed a lovely dinner there on my first night. Breakfasts at the Bernards Cafe and the Coffee Shop were both really good. Hotel room was pretty clean but bathroom was tight on space, mainly due to a lovely but too large sink that stuck out too far and made navigating to the toilet and shower a little awkward, and I'm average sized. Bed was comfortable. Parking can be limited in the hotel lot but you can park for free overnight across the street at the NJ Transit Bernardsville train station. Comfortable bed. Note: the front desk controls the thermostat in the room. But they were very obliging with adjusting the temperature in the room when needed. I'd stay here again.”

“We could not be happier with our decision to have our wedding (and rehearsal dinner) at Grain House at The Olde Mill Inn! Our experience started with a venue tour with Lindsay who was so lovely and helpful in answering all of our questions. She continued to help us with questions about planning throughout the year and a half since we booked the venue. At the wedding tasting night, we felt so special and pampered, and met all of the great Maitre D’s! We were so grateful to be assigned David as our Maitre D’. We had a meeting with him to finalize our menu and felt so taken care of by him! He was absolutely amazing in helping us through the last few months of wedding preparation, and was there for us on the day of our rehearsal & our entire wedding day, making sure everything went perfectly. The entire serving staff was also so friendly and professional. Besides the INCREDIBLE people who made our day so seamless and special, the venue itself is gorgeous and unique. I can not recommend this wedding venue enough. We loved our Grain House wedding and will cherish our special day and the staff who made it that way forever. Thank you David, Lindsay, and everyone at Grain House!”

“Cleanest atmosphere friendly staff, amazing breakfast. Everything was perfect! So accommodating to me with my son being in the hospital and me, not knowing when he was going to be a discharged they always made sure to have a room for me in case. A really amazing breakfast strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, real eggs, and bacon! I felt super safe in the area that we were in being it was Myself in six month old son staying in the hotel. You can tell the staff is treated well by how pleasant and happy they all are.”

“10/10 experience. Beautiful hotel, amazing atmosphere, wonderful staff, and great food and drinks. We enjoyed our stay so much that this will definitely become our new monthly getaway spot.

A special shout out to Alex and Lynnell, who truly made our experience exceptional. They took care of us during lunch and again later for our nightcap drinks until midnight, and their service was absolutely top tier. They were attentive, welcoming, personable, and made sure we had an amazing time from start to finish.

It’s rare to come across hospitality that genuinely stands out, but both of them went above and beyond and made us feel so comfortable and taken care of. They are a huge reason we’re already looking forward to coming back.

“We’ve been photographing weddings at The Madison Hotel for more than 10 years, and it remains one of our favorite New Jersey venues to work in. The Conservatory, the ballroom, and the grounds all offer beautiful light and a ton of great spots for portraits. The staff is always welcoming and organized, and couples consistently tell us how smooth their day feels there. Every time we’re back, it feels familiar in the best way. If you’re planning a wedding at The Madison Hotel, we already know the layout, the timing, and the best places for photos, and we absolutely love working at this venue.”

“This was a fantastic stay! The hotel is very roomy and spacious, yet it still manages to feel warm and cozy. There’s plenty to enjoy on-site, including a great bar and restaurant.

The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The lobby offers lots of comfortable hangout space, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and equipped with just the right amenities.

The events team was so accommodating, they even helped organize an accessible shuttle for our guests! “Stayed here from 9th Jan to 11th Jan, the hotel was good I’d give it 4 stars to be honest I just expected it to be more luxurious because it’s Hyatt and to the lady and gentleman who were working on the reception at around 9pm on the 9th of Jan I’d give you guys 10 stars not 5, you were more than kind and welcoming and you made my night after a tiring trip to New Jersey, really sorry I didn’t get to know your names but you probably know me from the jacket we made jokes about ?❤️”

“This place was fantastic! It is getting a little dated and could use some renovations but room was comfortable and clean and the staff was wonderful. I mean wonderful! I come fairly regularly, and every single time I'm taking care of like family. They really go out of their way to make you comfortable , and your stay just as perfect as it can be. I had recently been exposed long-term to black mold and was very, very sick, and I had to come up to New Jersey and without them even knowing about this problem, they put me on the floor that they just had all the rooms redone, that have air purifying units in them. I can't tell you how much better I felt within a couple days. They put me there just to treat me extra special but it turned out to really be something special because of how sick I was. You just can't find the kind of customer service that I get here on a regular basis. It just doesn't seem to happen as much as it used to, as far as service goes. I come regularly because of my grandson, who has been coming here since he was born and is now 2 years old. They treat him like royalty - honestly. And I think he feels like this is his Grammy's home! Jose, the manager Is a true captain of the ship - setting a great example for his staff on how they should handle guests. Rayshawn is a fantastic assistant - always takes great care of us also. Anthony, the breakfast person is one of my grandson's favorites! ( Probably because he's feeding us!) Hermione, on the front desk is just so welcoming and kind - always helping me with anything I need. Housekeeping is exactly the same way with the service and always going out of their way to talk and play with the little guy! I know this is a long review and I don't usually write a lot of reviews. But I do for this place because they always go above and beyond. Being so far from home and everything so different in this cold country and I come from Florida - it's nice to be somewhere familiar with familiar people. But quite honestly , even the familiarity isn't enough For me to rave , it really is the people!”

“I always enjoy staying at this hotel! But I have to give a shout out to the new parking QR codes. It is so much easier than having to run a ticket back out to my car after I’ve already checked in. “Likes: Room had a full-sized refrigerator with a freezer section. Excellent location, close to supermarkets and restaurants, 5 minutes from downtown Morristown. Close to I-287 and I-80, ~35 minutes to EWR. Decent price. Good Wi-Fi (not always a given).

Dislikes: Building and room showed some age. Not all lights in the parking lot were working. Front desk was vacant more than once.”

“We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. A special thank you to Hermione at the reception, who was incredibly kind and always available to assist us with anything we needed. Eric was also extremely helpful, especially in arranging and driving the hotel shuttle to our nearby office always punctual and supportive.
The rooms were clean and well maintained, and the breakfast was enjoyable, with particularly good coffee.
Overall, a very pleasant experience and we would gladly stay here again.”

From the front check-in, to the Starbucks barista, to the restaurant bartender, everyone makes you feel at home. The hotel itself is well maintained and very clean. “This Hyatt house thing is the best is comfy and is very affordable. Also the free breakfast is soooo good like their eggs and bacon and pancakes are so good I tried everything and in my opinion is so delicious. So if you want to stay somewhere that is comfy and very affordable go with Hyatt house they give you everything you need and the cleaning is amazing.”
